Stylish vacation home for 6 in the heart of Garding at the gates of St. Peter Ording

Just outside St. Peter Ording, in the heart of the small town of Garding, stands Melkmanns. It used to be a dairy and grocery store—its owner would drive through the countryside delivering milk. Today, the salesroom is the living room, and the laundry room has been transformed into a spa. The colorful mix of vintage, industrial, and functional furniture gives MELKMANNS its truly unique character. It’s a one-of-a-kind place for anyone who wants to have a great time with family and friends in a special setting.
The Accommodation
Melkmanns is a good 130 square meters in size and comfortably accommodates 5–6 guests across two floors. You can always make yourself comfortable in the three bedrooms of varying sizes; the largest bedroom even features a table for working—if you absolutely have to—or for playing games. The smallest bedroom is furnished with two single beds. And if you ever feel like taking a nap, there’s a sleeper sofa in the large hallway. In the full bathroom, you can relax in the tub after a day at the beach, and in the shower room downstairs, you can quickly hop in for a shower. Starting this fall, we’ll also be adding a sauna—stay tuned! There’s also a convenient guest restroom. For our younger guests, two travel cribs and two high chairs are available.

Fully equipped, the open-concept kitchen-dining area is the central hub, and everyone can really make themselves comfortable together in the 40-square-meter living room in front of the huge TV with Netflix and IP-TV. Of course, there’s high-speed internet!

Plenty of space inside, plenty of space outside. In the long, narrow garden, you can enjoy the North Sea breeze from a lounge chair and then wind down the day with a barbecue together.
