Our well-maintained home, situated in a sunny, quiet, secluded location with a magnificent mountain panorama, offers you the perfect setting for a restful and relaxing vacation. Enjoy your vacation in our comfortable vacation apartments, ranging from 40 to 60 square meters in size, each with a balcony. Many attractions, cable cars, and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity. Hiking trails begin right at the house and in the immediate vicinity. The nearest bus stop is just a 10-minute walk away. Around the house, cozy seating and lounging areas, as well as the large play and sunbathing lawn, invite you to linger. A barbecue with a seating area is also available for your use. The kitchen-living rooms are equipped with a TV/CD radio, coffee maker, electric stove, egg cooker and electric kettle, toaster, refrigerator with freezer compartment, as well as a full set of dishes and cookware and a corner sofa. The larger apartments also have a dishwasher.
Would you like to bring a trailer (for a bike, motorcycle, ATV, or trike)? You’re welcome to park it here.
The comfortably furnished vacation apartment has a separate bedroom. It’s also equipped with a fold-out sofa as an optional sleeping arrangement for a child. The kitchen-living room features a corner sofa with a coffee table, plus a bench and dining table. TV and radio are available. From there, you have access to the south-facing balcony with a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains of Berchtesgaden.
Our house is located halfway up the hill from the departure point for the Kehlstein / Obersalzberg Exhibition. A hiking trail that runs alongside the house ends down at the Ache Berchtesgaden. The Watzmanntherme, the salt mine, the Obersalzbergbahn valley station, and the Berchtesgaden train station are also located along the
Ache. From the Ache, it’s a 10-minute walk to downtown Berchtesgaden.
The hiking trail leads uphill to the Obersalzberg Exhibition / Kehlstein departure point. (Along the way, other hiking trails branch off from this one, such as those leading to the
summer toboggan run and the restaurants Hochlenzer, Windbeutelbaron, and Scharitzkehlalm....) Berchtesgaden is located in the center of our valley basin, so you can also reach all other
attractions—such as Königssee, Jenner, Almbachklamm, Wimbachklamm, and Hintersee—in 10–20 minutes by car. It’s also only about a 30-minute drive to Salzburg (Austria).
We, Erika and Josef Hofreiter of Haus Bergruh, do our very best to ensure that you have a restful, relaxing, and unforgettable vacation with us. Feel free to ask us—we’re happy to
offer you advice and assistance.
