Our thatched Finnish cabin is located on a natural lot of approximately 500 m², in a quiet, out-of-the-way spot at the very back of an idyllic Finnish cabin settlement that borders directly on the dike. The settlement is surrounded by reeds, willows, and forest and lies in the heart of the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve on the Mönchgut Peninsula. The center of the town of Gager, with its small harbor and fish processing plant, is about 1.5 km away. The idyllic, historic village of Groß Zicker is also just 1.5 km away. The well-known seaside resorts of Göhren, Sellin, and Binz are just a few minutes’ drive away in the immediate vicinity.
Quietly located, only about 350 m from the fine-sand beach (child-friendly, as the water slopes very gently), which stretches between Göhren/Lobbe and Thiessow. “Our beach access” marks the exact boundary between the clothed and nude sections of the beach. The choice is yours—to the right toward Thiessow lies the naturist beach, and to the left toward Lobbe/Göhren stretches the clothed beach.
The nearby Zickerschen Berge offer wonderful hiking opportunities, and you can reach their highest peak, the Bakenberg, via our dike in about 600 m. From here, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Baltic Sea and the Bodden waters, the island, all the way to the mainland and Usedom.
