The Amenities of the Altefähr Thatched House

The Altefähr Thatched House offers you vacation accommodations with a total area of 185 square meters, spread over two floors. This detached house is located in Altefähr and is distinguished by its historic architecture as well as its close connection to the surrounding nature and the sea. From the terrace, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea and the countryside, which greatly contribute to the ambiance of this property.
The house has a total of five rooms, including four bedrooms, which together can accommodate up to six people. Upon request, we can even accommodate up to 8 people here. Please contact us for more information. Since these are restored beds, please note their dimensions: two bedrooms, each with two beds (150 x 190 cm); one bedroom with a double bed (180 x 200 cm); and one bedroom with two single beds (80 x 180 cm and 90 x 180 cm)
Two bathrooms with showers and bathtubs, as well as hot water, ensure comfort and plenty of space for your privacy. A hair dryer is also provided.
The kitchen is a separate room and equipped with high-quality appliances: In addition to a glass-ceramic stove and an oven, you’ll find a microwave, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a kettle, and a toaster. Of course, there are plenty of kitchen utensils, dishes, and silverware, as well as dish towels and a trash can. Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining area with a dining table, perfect for sharing meals together.
In the living room, you’ll find a comfortable seating area with a sofa and armchairs, a dresser, a coat rack, a TV, and a radio. The furnishings contribute to a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
The outdoor area features a garden with patio furniture, a lawn for sunbathing, and a gas grill with a designated grilling area. Here you can spend relaxing hours outdoors and enjoy the immediate proximity to the beach. In addition, a private parking space is available for your use.
The Reethaus Altefähr is a smoke-free property where up to two dogs are welcome. Children are also expressly welcome, making the house ideal for families.

The area around the thatched-roof house invites you to explore: The old spa park, with its shaded paths, playgrounds, and bocce court, is ideal for families. The new promenade runs along the water, past cafés, small restaurants, and the modern marina, where sailboats and fishing boats are moored side by side. In the summer, there’s a pleasant vacation atmosphere here, but it’s never overcrowded—perfect for relaxing days.
Nature lovers will find numerous hiking and biking trails in the surrounding forests and fields. Birdwatchers will also find plenty to enjoy, as the region is home to numerous coastal birds. In addition to Stralsund, the neighboring seaside resorts of Binz and Sellin, as well as Jasmund National Park with its famous chalk cliffs, are great destinations for day trips.
