Engelskirchen is surrounded by rolling hills, meadows, and mixed forests that are perfect for biking and hiking. The Panoramasteig trail begins and ends in Ründeroth. Shopping options such as Aldi, Lidl, and Rewe, as well as bakeries, butcher shops, snack bars, ice cream parlors, the post office, Jysk, Futterhaus, doctors’ offices, the Engelskirchen/Loope Hospital, and the Aggertal Rehabilitation Clinic are all just a few minutes’ drive away.
The Oberbergische Land region offers several museums, dams, lakes, castles, and caves—including the Aggertal Cave in Ründeroth, which is within walking distance, and the Windloch, newly discovered in 2019, which is set to be designated a natural monument.

Apartment, bathroom, toilet:

We launched our newly renovated, 97 m² “Glühwürmchen” vacation apartment in July 2025. Our bright, lovingly furnished ground-floor apartment offers plenty of space for up to 6 people. The open, fully equipped kitchen—featuring a refrigerator and freezer, an induction cooktop, an oven, a coffee maker and pod machine, a kettle, a toaster, and a microwave—opens onto the dining and living area. There you’ll find a large dining table and a cozy seating area with a large smart TV. From there, you can step out onto the large, east-facing terrace. The hallway leads to the bathroom with a shower, washer, and dryer, as well as to the three bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed, another has a single bed that converts to a double, and the third has a pull-out couch and access to the 18 m² covered balcony. There, you can enjoy the evening sun as the day comes to a close.
All rooms are equipped with electric roller shutters.
Important to know: Our vacation rental is a non-smoking property; parties and events are not permitted.



On-site fees: A 20% deposit is charged upon booking. The remaining balance is due 7 days before arrival via bank transfer. For last-minute bookings, payment must be made via instant bank transfer. Cash payments are also accepted by arrangement. Cancellations made up to 14 days before arrival are free of charge. Later cancellations will be charged at 90% of the total price. Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Check-out is by 11:00 a.m. Other check-in and check-out times are possible by arrangement. Please contact us in a timely manner to make arrangements if necessary. Keys will be handed over in person on-site. A travel crib for toddlers can be provided free of charge upon request. Pets are not allowed.



Check-in is from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., and check-out is from 12:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
