Sailor's deck apartment - Stylish vacation with open kitchen and sea view

The “Matrosendeck Apartment” (approx. 84 square meters) is located on the first floor of the lovingly restored Barhöft pilot house. It is an open and spacious living unit with two separate sleeping berths (each with sliding doors) and a bathroom with a bathtub.

From the bright and inviting living and dining area, enjoy the magnificent view of Barhöft Harbor and the Baltic Sea (Rügen). Original details preserved from before the renovation lend the Matrosendeck Apartment a special ambiance. According to our guests’ experience, the apartment is ideal for young families with children. Amenities include an electric stove, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a toaster, a kettle, a bathroom with a bathtub and shower, and a high chair. A washing machine and dryer are located in the building.

Each sleeping berth features a double bed with two single mattresses and a closet. Upon request, a baby crib with an extra mattress can be provided free of charge.

Wi-Fi (fiber optic) and parking are available. Outside, you can relax on the terrace that belongs to the vacation rental. A fire pit is available for all guests to enjoy cozy evenings by the fire.

Within walking distance are the harbor and beach of Barhöft, the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park, a small playground, an observation tower with views of Hiddensee and Rügen, a national park museum, a café with a small shop, and a restaurant overlooking the harbor. Rent an e-bike on-site and discover the surrounding area, or explore Barhöft from the water by renting a motorboat (15 PS). Enjoy being close to the water and swap the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a slower pace and tranquility.

The nearest supermarket in Prohn is about a 10-minute drive away. There you’ll also find an excellent butcher, a Volksbank branch, a pharmacy, and a family doctor’s office.

The Hanseatic city of Stralsund, with its numerous attractions (harbor, Ozeaneum, Hansedom, museums, Gorch Fock), restaurants, and cafés, is about a 15-minute drive away.
