Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate all guest reviews as they help us continually improve. We would like to take this opportunity to offer some clarifying information for the benefit of future guests. Our property does not have air conditioning, and it is absent in the property description. We provide fans throughout the home to assist with airflow during warmer months, and many guests find the sea breeze quite comfortable once temperatures ease in the evening. The home was furnished and updated in the early 2000s and has been regularly refreshed with new furniture, upholstery, and household items over the years. Regarding the views, future guests may be interested to know that the property offers multiple ocean-facing windows, including a large plate glass window on the staircase landing and an additional window at the top of the stairs, both providing distinct and expansive views of the ocean, Mount Baker, and the Lighthouse, as do windows in both bedrooms. Additional windows in the master bathroom and utility room look out onto the adjacent canal and surrounding mountains. We regret that our guest had difficulty locating the public beach access, we plan to provide detailed directions in the property description. We hope to welcome future guests who will enjoy everything this property has to offer.

This is a response to the review by your guest Roxanne Sewell (5-8 April 2022) posted on 20 April 22. She is obviously responding to our mail to her sent on 13 April 22 in which we brought to her notice the following points 1. After paying for her booking on 11 March she asked if she could bring her dog. We replied saying yes but the cleaning charges would be $ 40 extra which she could leave on the dining table before departure. She did not leave this money on departure. 2. Her booking was for 4 adults only . Our house keeper found evidence of many more whether "grand babies" or not. 3. We informed her that there were cigarettes and ash scattered all around and the house was reeking of smoke. 4. Dog hair is obviously expected on the dog bed we provided but the dog hair was all over other furniture as well. The furniture had also been moved around making things difficult for a single lady to put back. This is the only guest in our 10 years of running the vacation rental that we would not rent to again.
