GREAT PLACE TO STAY

Very nice house for up to 4 people. Loved the hot tub with views of the mountains. Close to South Shore but not too close so nice and quiet. Would definitely recommend it.

Home Away From Home

Our stay at Christmas Valley was great! Although we had little contact with the hosts, you could tell that they had thought about our stay before we arrived. Due to traffic control, our 4 hour drive took 10.5 hours and arrived at 1:30am. Without asking, the hosts made sure that we didn't have any trouble finding their cottage, leaving the lights on inside and outside the house.Once we did get inside, the house was well decorated and clean. They had all of the kitchen supplies we needed and the bedrooms were welcoming. It was as if we were visiting our friends house for the weekend.We really enjoyed our stay there and would return again.

Cute cabin in a great location

Stayed at the cabin for a few nights while snowing boarding at Sierra At Tahoe. Close location to the mountain, lots of good food options in town too. The cabin was a great space for my family.

A Wonderful Stay at Beaver Brae

My husband, daughter, and I had a wonderful winter stay at the cottage. Everything was exactly as described and was very clean. We enjoyed the fireplace, hot tub, and walks in the neighborhood including a creek area to explore. The location was great to access all the activities the South Lake Tahoe area has to offer. We highly recommend this cottage and hope to return again!

Warm and well maintained house

Perfect Cottage

The home was cozy and very clean. We could tell the owners wanted us to be comfortable and at home. It was a convenient location to everywhere we went. The drive around Lake Tahoe was magnificent! Thanks for being such great hosts—we highly recommend this property!!

Great location for hiking in the South Lake Tahoe area

This property was a very good fit for two guys day hiking for a week in the area. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood and was clean and comfortable. The well equipped kitchen allowed us to conveniently prepare meals and avoid expensive eating out. The beds were very comfortable, and the hot tub was a welcome treat after our days on the trails. Overall we were very pleased with the house and we would definitely consider staying there again.

Nice quiet neighborhood minutes away from all the action

We loved the property, it was close to town but far enough to get away from all the business of town. Beautiful back yard with hot tub and picnic table. The inside was extremely clean and there was ample kitchen supplies. The treat basket was a nice surprise as we would grab something to take with us when touring the area. Also want to say that the beds were extremely comfortable.

Great place to stay near Carson pass

We planned a hiking extended weekend in the Carson Pass area. This home did not disappoint! Great comfy beds with nice linens. A well appointed kitchen, beautiful back yard. Wonderful responsive host. Highly recommend!

Comfortable, quiet cottage close to excellent hiking

Spent 2 weeks in August at the property. Place was stocked with everything we needed and the extras provided by the owner (welcome basket and coffee) were a wonderful added touch. Communication was good, check in was simple. Bedding, towels, and amenities were comfortable and clean. We didn't use the hot tub but took the bikes for a ride around the neighborhood.

Extraordinary Cottage in a Wonderful Place

First of all, Christmas Valley was a perfect location to enjoy the Tahoe and Carson Valley area in Summer, But most of all, this house has it all. Beautiful house with lots of living space and everything one would need - even a gift basket! The lack of air conditioning is not to be feared, as the nights are cool and closing up the house before you leave each day will keep it comfortable.

Beautiful, well-located S. Tahoe Cottage

Beautiful clean house on a quiet street. Easy to take walks right out the door. Well-located between Markleville where I was doing the Death Ride and nearby alpine lakes we love to hike to/around. 17 minutes to the shores of Tahoe. Everything worked well.

Wonderful, cozy cottage for you and your family

We stayed at the cottage with our parents for 3 days and the experience could not have been better. Everything from a smooth entry to the welcome goodies basket, fully loaded kitchen, every tiny thing was taken care of. The place is done up beautifully and felt very warm and cozy overall. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect spot

This was our second year staying here for spring break. We love the location, home is clean and cozy, and the hot tub is perfect after a day on the slopes. Debbie is a great host and was following the weather and communicating with us how to deal with the snow. We look forward to coming back next year.

We chose this house for the location! Quiet neighborhood, away from the crowds. But minutes from all the activities that visitors come here for, and that South Lake Tahoe has to offer. About 20 minutes from downtown South Lake Tahoe. Grocery shopping 5 minutes from the cabin. Close to ski resorts, Sierra, Kirkwood, and Heavenly. Cross country skiing out your door. This is ideally a perfect couples getaway close to many outdoor activities. Very popular in summer for hiking and biking enthusiasts because of the back country roads and trail access. Perfect location for the Death Ride. About 15 minutes to Echo Lake.
