A lovingly renovated historic half-timbered house awaits you, located very close to the city center yet in a quiet setting by a babbling brook. The Malerweg trail runs right past the house. Shopping, the train station, the Elbe River, the ferry, and the steamboat dock are all within a short walking distance.
The house has been carefully renovated and offers a beautiful blend of old and new. Out of consideration for the neighbors, the large terrace above the carport may only be used until 10 p.m.; barbecuing is not permitted for the same reason.
You can set out on many hikes right from the house, for example to Königstein Fortress, Lilienstein, and Pfaffenstein. Other destinations are easily accessible by S-Bahn, such as the Hintere Sächsische Schweiz, the Felsenbühne and Bastei in Rathen, and the state capital, Dresden.
The 118-kilometer Malerweg trail takes hikers to the most beautiful and spectacular spots in Saxon Switzerland. Its stages can also be completed from a single base. They are easily accessible by public transportation.
You’ll find a children’s playground a few hundred meters away in the town center next to the church; another one is located on the Elbe near the steamboat dock. About 500 meters away, there’s a supermarket with a full selection of goods.
We don’t have a TV, but we do have Wi-Fi. If you bring a laptop, you can watch TV that way. (You’re guaranteed to relax more without it!) A selection of games and books is available.



Vacation home, 3 bedrooms:

Our vacation home, which is about 120 square meters, is spread over three floors and features a living room with a sleeper sofa (1.40 m wide), a modern kitchen-dining area, three bedrooms with double beds (two 1.60 m wide, one 1.40 m wide), two bathrooms with showers, and a storage room (for bicycles, strollers, etc.). A crib and high chair are available (upon request). Both the kitchen and the living room have a wood-burning stove.



On-site costs: We require a 20 percent deposit. The balance is due 10 days before arrival via bank transfer. If you are unable to arrive, we will credit the deposit toward a future booking. For cancellations made 45 days or more before arrival, the cancellation fee is 50 percent of the total price; for cancellations made 10 days or more before arrival, the fee is 80 percent. The visitor’s tax for the city of Königstein is 3.00 euros per night for adults and 2.50 euros per night for those eligible for a discount. With the visitor’s cards, you can use public transportation in the four fare zones of Saxon Switzerland free of charge.



Check-in is possible from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., and check-out is from 12:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
