The wide white sandy beaches of Gruissan and Port la Nouvelle are just around the corner. The smaller, more confidential resorts of La Palme and La Franqui will welcome lovers of authenticity. Culture is also well represented with the proximity of Narbonne, the 1st Gallo-Roman villa outside Italy, the medieval city of Carcassonne, the Romanesque abbeys of Fontfroide and Lagrasse ... and so many other historical sights.
