Great host!

We had an unusual experience and our host came through in a pinch! He was great to work with. The house was perfect for our needs. Beautiful neighborhood, so close to the beach and lots of restaurants. The kitchen was adequate to cook several meals also. It was a wonderful place to enjoy a special Senior Trip for my daughter, son and their friends!

The house was perfect for the size of our party (12). My only negative on this house, would be the beds were horrible, no one got a decent night sleep.

Good place for a large group

We had a group of family in town for a memorial service. This place worked very well for us, as it had just the right number of bedrooms. We were out much of the time, but the kids did enjoy the pool one afternoon. The place was clean, and in generally good condition. The front door lock didn't seem to work quite right, but we mainly used the side door, anyway. All in all, I would recommend this place to a llarge group that needs a place to stay in Boca Raton.

Not an "Oasis"

Property not properly maintained: green algae in the swimming pool, roof leak on the terrace, inconsistent AC cooling, dirty pool furniture. Several amenities listed on the website were not provided: no hot tub, no children's games or toys, no paper towels, no garbage bags, and more. Look elsewhere if you're planning to visit Boca.

They pulled out the chlorine tablets & then complained that the pool turned green. They then threatened to write a bad review & made up a lot of things wrong with property. Please look at last bunch of Reviews which are excellent. Guests also turned off hot water upon leaving

House was beautiful and roomy there was 12 of us we didn't get in each other way enough bathrooms :). the neighborhood was quite, Big yard I could keep going we still talk about the house. If I could critic one thing is the house could have been cleaned before we got there. Over all I would recommend this home.

Spacious and clean

This was a wonderful property to stay at with my family. We had 12 of us and we never felt cramped once. We were close to the ocean with nice beautiful beaches, shops, restaurants and entertainment. The pool was great and we had so much fun!! I would stay here again with my family. Steven, the owner was very helpful with any questions I had. I would recommend this property. Sometimes when traveling from far you wonder how it will be renting a house not a hotel. Let me tell you this is the best way to go!!! Thanks Steven for sharing your lovely home so that our family could enjoy time together in your beautiful home in Boca Raton!!

The property definitely needs to be updated.

First of all there was no smoke detector in any of the rooms. I contacted the owner about this and they said people steal them. Opened a drawer in the kitchen and they were all in there and not installed. There was a cockroach under the chair in the living room. It was dead but still gross. In the description of the house they showed 4 lounge chairs by the pool. There was only one chair and it was completely torn and not useable. The pool was pretty cloudy. The lock on the back door was broken. One of the sliding glass doors was shattered upon arrival. You can definitely tell the owner has not put any money into this property in a very long time. This place was a disappointment compared to the photos.

I’m sorry to hear about these few issues which were not brought to my attention until after the guest checked out. I immediately sent in my handyman who installed all new ones I also went through the property post him stay. All photos were taken just recently

The property was still being cleaned at check in time, and this was not done adequately. There were definite issues with the cleaning.The whole property is totally not as portrayed in the photographs. It is unkempt, shabby and downright dangerous in places with a broken slider door held together with some plastic film, there were multiple cockroaches in the property. The outside furniture was rusted and unuseable. The outside appearance was awful with a BBQ smoke stained wall. The deep end of the pool had no depth markers,,there were no loungers at all. All of the kitchen area appeared not clean or well kept so we purchase disposable plates and glasses and cutlery and used those exclusively. There as an old fridge in the kitchen with an ice box totally full of ice. On check in there was food left in the main refrigerator. There was only 1 toilet roll per bathroom.This was not the property displayed on the website and I feel very cheated that the property we stayed in was far substandard.

Great location and house for big groups

Overall a good rental and priced appropriately. Pros: The swimming pool was awesome-it was warm and we used it all hours of the day, large number of bedrooms and amount of space to spread out, beds were comfy and clean, plenty of beach and bath towels, excellent location and proximity to I95 and to beaches, great neighborhood, Steven was friendly and responsive. Cons: The house appeared clean but shortly after arriving and for the remainder of our trip, our feet were black after walking around the house barefoot, the kitchen was missing quite a few things (we had purchased brownie mix and found that we had no means of cooking the brownies- nothing oven safe or measuring cups whatsoever), we ran out of toilet paper, found an outlet with no cover and a cabinet with no handle (easy fixes that should have been done), pool table was unusable. Rental overall reminded us of a house you'd rent in college with your buddies. However, we were traveling with 3 moms and 8 kids and didn't mind. It served our purpose and we had a great time at the home. The kids loved it. Thanks for having us.

Second Time Vacationing

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this property for the second time, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. The attention to detail and thoughtful amenities truly make this vacation home a standout choice for our group of 6 golfers. The heated swimming pool was a highlight and the private fenced-in backyard with banana trees provided a tropical oasis. Entertainment options abound with a pool table (cue tips needs replacements), ping pong table, and a large screened-in Florida room, ensuring that there's always something fun to do. The kitchen, although missing a few items such as a potato masher, was well-equipped with plenty of plates, cups and bowls and was a joy to cook in. One aspect that truly sets this property apart is the exceptional communication by the host, Stephen. From the moment we inquired about the booking to our departure, Stephen was attentive, responsive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless. His dedication to hospitality is truly commendable. The location of the property is also noteworthy, being just a mile from the beach and a short drive to Town Center Mall and Delray Beach. The proximity to various parks, and restaurants adds to the overall appeal. Having stayed at this property for the second time, we eagerly look forward to more future stays. The consistent quality of the accommodations, combined with the warm hospitality of Stephen, makes this vacation home a top choice. Highly recommended!

4 star rating not accurate

We only stayed for 3 days and were down for a wedding so one day not at the house much. We got there a did an inspection of the house and noticed a bunch of problems. No dish signal so no tv, missing remotes and the ones we found had no back covers on some and batteries missing on one. Later found 2 in the kitchen cabinets with backs missing also, puzzling. Receptacles in one bathroom not working and 1 fan/light remote batteries were dead. Similar problems to a previous review by someone tiles left out in open, pool filter did not work, dryer took forever to dry and stained towels. Pool table was not level and no cue tips on any of the cue sticks and ping table table had dead spots. The gas grill was left with the propane near empty and the gas knobs to regulate the flame were off. The charcoal grill had used coals left in. Only reason i did not give it 1 star is because i only stayed for 3 days. Whoever was responsible for getting the house ready for renters did a lousy job.

Thanks for your feedback. The home itself is a beautiful 5 bedroom, 3 bath with 2 jacuzzis and really nice! Regarding the issues: I've asked the manager to take care of all: (There was a storm which knocked out the Direct TV when you came & we have service come as soon as possible) We've bought brand new towels, replaced remotes & batteries, pool filter, etc. The manager has gone through everything at this point. Dirty

We had to leave after one night. The house was dirty and uncared for. Our children couldn’t tolerate the dust and grime, and we were surprised at how dysfunctional the house was. We found unwashed dishes in the dishwasher, a used coffee filter in the coffeemaker, and floors so dirty that it turned the bottoms of our feet brown when we walked on the floor barefoot. Burned out lightbulbs in the overhead lights in some of the bedrooms prohibited reading. The dishes in the cupboards often had dried particles of food. The house was in general disrepair. Some of the screens were torn, and a chair collapsed by the gazebo when my 5 year old girl sat down. Not even the interior light worked in the ancient refrigerator. Our first impression was the broken deadbolt in the front door. We requested a refund for the unused part of our stay, the owner stated that he would check the house out and let us know. That was the last we heard from him. Truly a disheartening experience in every respect.

Not only did my cleaning crew do an excellent job, but I personally went over myself. I checked them in last minute and other than a jam in the front door which was fixed immediately, the home was in perfect condition. I ask the reader to look past this & look at many other wonderful reviews...

Very disappointing

Upon driving up to this house I literally felt ill! The outside is so neglected in a neighborhood of mostly well maintained homes this property stood out as rundown! So we parked and opened the front door (even the doorbell was broken and hanging down) and hoped the interior was in better shape. Once again we were disappointed in that the house was not clean and was very bare and basic. Perhaps our standards are higher than most but the photos on the Internet are actually nicer than the reality. Oh by the way, that cute little gazebo in the photos- NOT THERE! I do have to compliment the property manager who was very responsive and accommodating but the owner of this rental needs to do quite a bit to the exterior and spruce up the Interior( painting, serious cleaning- the kitchen cabinets smelled bad!) the kitchen is poorly supplied- we had to buy a salad bowl and a pitcher and I left a long list of supplies that were needed to be comfortable! Not even a cutting board! When we sat by the pool we had to use a folding chair as a table!! I strongly suggest the owner take a good look at all that is missing and all that needs attention for this house to be a quality rental. My family called the place El Dumpo:-(

I have several homes on VRBO and all average 5 stars and rarely gets a 4 star. As you can see, our customers are very happy. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it. This is a spectacular home and here's why: We renovated all the Bathrooms and put 2 with Jacuzzi's, glass shower stall, all brand new furniture, new paint, new porcelain floors all through the home, new spots in the living room, all brand new furniture as we opened a year ago March. We also bought dishes, silverware, salad bowls (which you didn't find, but the new guests are using with pleasure) and pots and pans. We also go out of our way that if there's something missing, we'll pick it up for you! I had a decorator in just 3 months ago who decorated all and we took the photos right after---so everything in the photos is exactly as it is! I'm not sure what your issues were as they were not reality. Anyone reading this is sensible to look at our other reviews and see that someone who rates 2 stars after everyone else rates it a 4-5 star is not giving an accurate accounting of the home. Not quite as advertised

House was built in the 50's and little updating, lights under microwave and over breakfast table needed bulbs, washing machine used hot water on cold setting and handyman moved hot water hose to cold spigot, no hot pads/dish cloths/ limited kitchen towels, no measuring cups or spoons, knife set not sharp, no Kleenex or paper towels, toilet paper was single ply, master bedroom bed frame creaked when sitting on it, springs squeaked when you moved on them and two people spent the night trying not to roll into each other, pool table cloth was torn, bumpers were hard as a rock and one of three pool sticks had a tip, one paddle and no balls for the ping pong table, grill grate were not cleaned, grease on bottom of grill started on fire when the juices dripped, no catch pan under the grill, and the hinge was broken on the grill lid, outside lights at entry did not work, no gutters on house so arrivals got "waterfalled" from the roof during the rain, junction of tile roof and patio roof leaked inside the patio during the rain right on top of the ping pong table, pool was good, Chattahoochee stones were unraveling from the pool deck, no lights for night cooking at grill by cabana, one garbage can was full on arrival and all three recycle bins were full, exterior of home could use a pressure wash and a coat of paint (many stains), back yard was large as advertised but family gathering was fun and successful.

Truly didn’t want to leave!

The house was comfortable and spacious with a great pool and outdoor space. Perfect family vacation and we give this house and host a 10/10!!

Great for large groups!

The house was very big and had plenty of rooms for a large group. There was a pack n play as well as a small cot. The pool was wonderful as well as the ping pong and pool tables. Everything was very clean. Plenty of places to gather and the neighborhood was quiet and convenient. Thanks for a great stay!

Anniversary Trip

House is great for a large group. 11 people and we had plenty of beds and room for everyone. Although 3 bathrooms is still not enough for 8 women.
