Welcome to a holiday in the home of the Brothers Grimm - experience the country and its people with the Meinecard plus, the Grimm Heimat guest card. With the guest card, you can take advantage of around 140 offers in the region, making the guest card a real benefit for our guests.we will show you our region, which we love for its diverse and very varied landscape.from the stories of our guests, we learn that they particularly appreciate the location in nature and the tranquillity here.the forest surrounding our village is close by and full of enchanted paths. Here you can find your very own nature experience away from the beaten track.take time to linger, relax and enjoy! we look forward to welcoming you as our guests and want you to feel at home.in addition to nature, there are plenty of cultural highlights to discover here! you are here in the home of the Brothers Grimm, who lived and worked in Kassel for a long time. They left many traces in Kassel and the region, which you can explore in the GrimmWelt. The fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm are their most famous legacy worldwide, but the two brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm also compiled the first German dictionary over many years of painstaking work. The fairy tales are a pleasure - first and foremost an auditory pleasure, but anyone travelling here will also get the feeling that the fairy tales are at home here. be sure to visit the Snow White Village in Bergfreiheit, which is not far from here and you can get there through the enchanted Urfftal valley. in Gudensberg there is the fairy tale stage, where events are held from time to time, including the "Schmeckefuchs" with regional fairy tale dishes. I.We are lucky to have 2 world heritage sites in our neighbourhood: The World Heritage Site is the Bergpark in Kassel - Wilhelmshöhe with the Hercules, Wilhelmshöhe Castle with the picture gallery - one of my absolute favourite places in the region. The Kellerwald-Edersee National Park with the beech forest World Heritage Site is an absolutely beautiful spot for hiking and exploring in summer and winter alike - with the Edersee lake in the centre and endless hiking opportunities where you can explore the special features of the national park. The beech forest was named one of the ten most beautiful forests in the world by GEO magazine, and the half-timbered towns in the region are well worth a visit, especially my home town of Fritzlar, which was also named one of the most beautiful half-timbered towns by GEO magazine. There is a cathedral in Fritzlar, which was founded by St Boniface. It goes back to the felling of the Danube oak by Boniface. Boniface founded a bishopric on the Büraberg. The old church, which has been there since the 6th century, can be reached on foot from here in 30 minutes.the cathedral houses a cathedral treasure, some of the exhibits are regularly loaned out for exhibitions worldwide.with the Edersee and the Stockelache bathing lake, we have two lakes nearby that leave nothing to be desired as bathing lakes.have you ever travelled the Eder in a canoe? The Kellerwald Nature Park, in which we are located, and the Habichtswald Nature Park offer wonderful hiking routes, and I have been renting out holiday flats since 1997. Due to regular reviews of our offer, the flats are modern and attractively furnished. There are two holiday flats and two holiday houses on a plot of approx. 2000 square metres and the holiday flat can accommodate up to five people. The holiday flat has three bedrooms with a total of 5 beds. There is a double bed, a single bed and 2 single beds. The cosy living room with TV and seating, as well as the well-equipped kitchen with dining area and the shower room complete the flat. In the garden there is a covered barbecue area and various seating areas. In summer we also have deckchairs available for you, a table tennis table and a children's playground about 100 metres away. The communal garden also offers space to play. Our accommodation, we have four in total, is ideal for groups of up to 15 people for a holiday with friends or your annual family reunion. A breakfast room and lounge are available for groups. You can also book a breakfast made mainly from regional products. We are also happy to accommodate groups of hikers or cyclists and will of course help you with luggage transport and planning your hiking route. Start your cultural and nature experiences here!Non-smoking houseOther living room furnishings: wall unit, serving trolley, side table, 80 cm flat screen TV, DVD player and radioBedroom 1, other bedroom furnishings: chest of drawers, armchair, small table, wardrobe, mirror, bedside lamps, radioBedroom 2, other bedroom furnishings: armchair and stool, wardrobe, reading lamp, small side tableBedroom 3, other bedroom furnishings: chest of drawers, clothes rack, bedside lamp, radioOther bathroom furnishings: vanity mirror, stool, hand soapOther kitchen equipment: radio, dishwasher, microwave,Sports facilities in the surrounding area: football pitch, golf course, canoeing, climbing, mountain biking, paragliding, cycle toursExcursions: The possibilities for excursions are manifold...
