Location: The vacation home in Malchow is located behind the owners’ residence, in the health resort and island town of Malchow. You have the entire, lovingly landscaped garden—approximately 250 m²—at your disposal. The house is located about 150 m from the lake and just a few minutes from the town harbor and the swing bridge. This engineering marvel connects the mainland to the island with its beautiful, renovated old houses. From the restaurants and cafés around the harbor, you’ll enjoy a wonderful view of the idyllic Malchow Lake, with the monastery complex in the background, surrounded by lush greenery. While you enjoy a refreshing drink, you can watch the hustle and bustle of the harbor and the many boats passing through the swing bridge. The location of your vacation rental is an ideal starting point for all your activities. Shopping options, bakeries, cafés, and restaurants—many of which are right on the lake—as well as small shops, the city harbor, museums, the city church, and the monastery with its organ exhibition are all just a few minutes’ walk away. The Malchow passenger ferry service invites you to take excursions to Lake Fleesen, Lake Plau, or Lake Müritz—Germany’s largest inland lake. There is a wide variety of options for leisure and sports activities. In the immediate vicinity, you’ll find golf courses and tennis courts, a swimming pool, a horseback riding center, a summer toboggan run, a monkey forest, and many other recreational options. There are quite a few beaches in the area, starting at a distance of 700 meters. The biking and hiking trails, set amid lush natural scenery with its many lakes, are generally well-maintained.
