The gentle mountain landscape around Wagrain offers countless routes for hiking and cycling—through quiet forests, over wide alpine meadows and along paths with wonderful viewpoints. Especially lovely are the trails towards Grafenberg and Sonntagskogel. Nearby attractions include the Liechtensteinklamm gorge, the Eisriesenwelt and Hohenwerfen Castle.
In winter, Snow Space Salzburg is only a short drive away, offering extensive pistes and winter paths. For calmer days, valley walks and small excursions to surrounding villages, or a visit to the Jägersee near Kleinarl, are delightful. Wagrain is varied yet pleasantly peaceful in every season
