Modern apartment in Ilmenau city center with balcony and wallbox for e-cars

The Petra Vacation Rental combines modern design with warm hospitality—and now with sustainable mobility as well. Your host, a former owner of a well-known music café, passionate athlete, and craftsman, has infused this apartment with a lot of personality. You can feel it in every detail: from the custom-built kitchen to the smart lighting and audio systems, right down to the cozy underfloor heating in the bathroom.

Spanning about 50 m², the apartment features a stylishly furnished living room, a quiet bedroom with a comfortable double bed, and a pull-out guest bed. From the bedroom, you can step out onto the small balcony overlooking the green backyard—perfect for a relaxing start to the day with a cup of coffee. The apartment is on the first floor, making it particularly easy to access. You’ll also have a quiet workspace with a comfortable office chair—ideal for productive hours of remote work.

Starting now, you can conveniently park your electric or hybrid car right outside the door and charge it at the building’s own wallbox. This way, you can start your explorations of Ilmenau and the surrounding area in a relaxed and eco-friendly way.

The Petra vacation rental is just a few minutes’ walk from the market square, the pedestrian zone, cozy cafés, a traditional artisan bakery, and the lively center of Ilmenau, the city of Goethe and its university. The train station is within easy walking distance, so you can stay flexible even without a car. For nature lovers, the Goethe Hiking Trail begins right outside the door, while cyclists can head out on the Ilmtal Bike Trail and mountain bikers can explore the surrounding trails. Supermarkets and other shopping options are within easy reach.
