These romantic vacation rentals are located in southern Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, in the historic, listed train station building in Buschhof, which was built in 1895. They are situated along the rail line between Mirow and Wittstock—which was decommissioned in 1998—and was formerly operated by the Mecklenburg Friedrich-Wilhelm Railway and the Prignitz Railway Company.
Here, we rent out one of three vacation apartments in an old rural train station.
With approximately 40 m² of living space, the studio features a modern bathroom with a rain shower and a combined living and sleeping area with an open kitchen. There are a total of two double beds available for up to 4 people: one is at floor level in the living area, and the second is a loft bed located above the bathroom.
On cooler days, a wood-burning stove provides cozy, comforting warmth. Two sofas also invite you to relax. A high-speed fiber-optic connection with Wi-Fi and an internet radio round out the amenities.
The old rural train station is located away from the village on a large property with seating areas, lounge chairs, a hammock, and a fire pit and grill area.
On the way to the back garden is the wood-fired sauna. Thanks to its slightly elevated location and a panoramic window, you have a beautiful view of the natural surroundings. There is an outdoor shower, which provides a welcome way to cool off.
You can swim and paddle in the nearby lakes, which have excellent water quality.
Berlin is about 120 kilometers away and can be reached in 90 minutes by car.
The nearest train station is in Mirow, 10 kilometers away, where there are also various shopping options.
During the peak summer season, I only rent on a weekly basis, from Sunday to Sunday.
The rest of the year, I rent for stays of two days or more.
