Shopping options are located right at the park’s entrance or in Frielendorf itself and are within walking distance.
Of course, the vacation home park has plenty to offer!
For one thing, the lake is perfect for swimming in the summer, but there are also many other recreational activities that invite you to have fun and relax. On this page of our vacation home website, we’d like to introduce you to the many recreational options available during your vacation.
The area around Lake Silbersee is perfect for hiking and walking in every season.
In the immediate vicinity of the lake, you can ride the summer toboggan run, enjoy a beer in the beer garden next to the run, burn off some energy at the climbing park, or simply play adventure golf.
A new multigenerational playground has been open since 2023!
Other activities (mainly in the summer): quad biking, disc golf, pedal boat or rowboat rentals on the lake, and much more.
Frielo-Land (indoor playground) is a popular destination for young guests in any weather. Right next door is a climbing park for everyone.
But the wellness paradise is also worth a visit. There, you can spend a few pleasant hours in a great atmosphere swimming, sliding, or relaxing in the sauna.
In the summer, the outdoor pool right in Frielendorf offers a large sunbathing area with a baby wading pool, as well as separate areas for non-swimmers and swimmers, complete with diving boards. A snack bar is also on hand to keep you well-fed.
The wider surrounding area also has plenty to offer: How about, for example, a family outing to Knüll Wildlife Park? The Mining Museum with its visitor tunnel in Borken (Hesse) is also highly recommended.
Or a short trip to the old towns, such as the county seat of Homberg (Schlossberg), Schwalmstadt, or Fritzlar with its famous cathedral.
Other popular destinations include Lake Eder with its dam and the Hercules statue in the city of Kassel.
So as you can see, there’s plenty to discover! We’d love to show you our beautiful Kurhessian mountain region someday!
