Scarlet house was designed to be our full time residence. We plan to build a small hotel that caters to group retreats and nature enthusiasts. Until then we are opening up our home to share with the world. Completely off the grid but with all the amenities to make you feel comfortable. The diverse ecosystem provides experiences that you can only get here. Beaches, mountains, animals, forest, all here. Corcovado National Park is recognized by National Geographic as one of the top National Parks in the entire world. Luckily the animals do not know the parks boundaries so you can enjoy many of them from our house. Monkeys galore.

We have a full time employee/licensed tour guide on site. Don't worry, he lives in a separate house and can be as visible or invisible as you like. He is there to manage the property and keep up the land, is fluent in English and Spanish and is available to take care of any needs during your stay. He is an extremely nice guy and very knowledgeable about the area. You will love him. If you decide that you want to go eat at a nearby hotel, he can coordinate that. He will need to call and see what they are serving as the hotels do not have menus and serve only one option per meal.

Our property has many fruit trees including, pineapple, mangos, avocado, limes, bananas, plantains, jack fruit, mandarine, cacao, cashews, coconuts, and more. We also have a garden for you to pick from. You are welcome to anything you find on our property.

Our house is unique in this area. We love the jungle and the ocean but we also like to come home to conveniences that are not common in this area. We have hot showers, clean drinking water, a full kitchen, electricity 24 hours a day, and great wifi. This may seem standard but that is not the case in this area. The house is screened-in open air and does not have air conditioner. We do have fans in every room in case you need it. You will find that the nights are cool and you likely will not want a fan on. But it is available to you. The house with its 3 bedrooms and its 3 bathrooms can easily host up to 8 people.

The property is about 15 acres of mostly untouched Forrest. You are free to roam around and see all the animals and plants. This is truly an amazing area so you will see many animals in their natural habitat. Gary can take you around the property and to nearby waterfalls. He is highly skilled and licensed as a guide so he can spot things you would never see by yourself. The entire property is available to you. We are also the last point you can reach by car before the National Park. From here you must park and walk approximately 3.5 kilometers to the park entrance. It's an amazing walk.

Our goal is to completely exceed your expectations. We are always available to answer any question and handle any issues. Please message us and we will respond right away. You will also have a two way radio so that you can contact Gary 24 hours a day. He is close by and will be there to serve you during your stay. As we mentioned, if you don't need him then you wont see him at all. If you do need him then he will be there. Your choice.
