Elbingerode is a tranquil resort located in the heart of the Harz mountains and belongs to the town of Oberharz am Brocken. The former mining town is situated at an altitude of about 450–480 meters at the transition from the Lower Harz to the Upper Harz, offering a pleasant mild climate typical of low mountain ranges. The surrounding area is ideal for hikers, cyclists, and those seeking relaxation. Well-marked paths lead through diverse landscapes, including the historic mining circular trail in the Bode Valley.
