Ok stay but would not visit again
Let me begin with the positive. I booked what I thought was an entire property based on the description and email response from owner. There were 4 us traveling and I assumed we would have our pick of the 5 rooms mentioned in the description. My bf and I had the upstairs room with a balcony. The view from the balcony was beautiful. There are 2 large double doors that can open to the view of the sea with a large balcony that you may enjoy tea or coffee in the morning. My cousin and her friend had a room in the front of the house that had 2 double beds. I did not spend much time in that room but they said the room was nice except for the couch that had a musty odor and they had a little issue with a faucet. Now the negatives I had with the property. My family and I are not party animals and we are private. I was looking for a peaceful, private stay to enjoy. Everyone else's review mentioned a Theresa and how pleasant she was and I assumed that would be our host. I was not aware the owner and his guardsman and 2 dogs resided on the property. This would not have been a huge issue except for my cousin's room was right next to the guardsman. And they were just alarmed to open the door one day and he was standing there. I definitely think he should have been introduced. Secondly, I had no problems with either dog, one was sweet (Chucky), Zar was more aggressive obviously more of a guard dog. He tried to bite my bf when we were coming in from a walk on the beach. He also growled at my cousin and her friend and that was a problem. I asked several times if he cud be put up but he was allowed to roam around at different times without warning.
Also, when I booked it stated the pool and hot tub would be completed in September 2022, however that entire area was not completed.
Lastly, was an issue with the kitchen. There is a large kitchen at the back of the property. My bf and I cook a lot as he is of Jamaican descent and we love cooking together. I was not aware that Ken did not allow frying in the home and no signs up or indication of this in booking. His room is directly beside the kitchen and only a small wooden curtain door separates it. But when he made us aware we cleaned up the kitchen thoroughly. I even brought down candles I travel with to assist with any odor. He waited until we left to tell me he wanted me to pay $200 for extra cleaning for cooking and frying. I had an issue with that because I feel he should have acknowledged that while we were
