Perfect location for adventure and a very cozy place to relax afterwards- be that by the fire or in hot tub! Host was very responsive. Recommend highly.

It’s a beautiful cabin, attentive host, nice hot tub and fireplace, and basement tv room. I would easily give five stars except that there were a lot of dead bugs in the cabin (though it’s in the woods it’s more than I would expect of a place just cleaned), and there are a LOT of personal/family photos all over the house. Not a few - dozens, on pretty much every wall, table, surface. And the master bedroom had all of the owners things and clothes in the dressers, nightstands, closet, even some dirty clothes in the hamper. While none of this ruined our trip (we still had a very nice time and it is a beautiful place), all the photos and personal stuff made it feel a bit awkward at times.

Wonderful getaway

This was our second time staying at this property for a short ski weekend and it did not disappoint. Everything was cozy and warm, the kitchen had everything we need, and the beds super Comfortable. My family especially loved the billiards table and the hot tub. Jim was incredibly responsive and checked in (by text) to make sure we didn’t have any issues. Wonderful house!

The perfect home for a visit to The Berkshires

Our family rented this home 5 years ago and we came back last month to enjoy a relaxing weekend in the Berkshires. We love the country feel of this beautiful, spacious and modern cabin, including the numerous social spaces on the main floor and lower level entertainment area. The bedrooms are very comfortable and well-appointed. The backyard, with its picnic table, lounge seats, hot tub and firepit, is absolutely perfect for relaxing evenings. There is a state park with good hiking trails 5 minutes away, and Great Barrington is less than 15 minutes away, which is the quintessential Berkshires community - wonderful for shopping, dining or just an afternoon stroll. My familiy and I all hope to return again to this special place (and much sooner than the 5 years it took for us to make our second trip).

Even better than the listing

It is much more than a cabin! It is that Berkshires cabin feel you want, but not rustic or creaky. Beautiful back yard, all the amenities you could want, spacious bedrooms. The basement was an unexpected bonus. A great place and great location!

Fantastic rental in the Berkshires!

Our group of five old friends had a wonderful time at "the Cabin" which is really an amazing log house. It had so many great features-- hot tub, pool table, lovely outdoor shower and sitting area -- but the screened porch was our favorite! Cozy and airy, even during downpours. We hope to return in the future. Thank you Jim and Lisa.

A comfy abode for a perfect weekend

This house was exactly as described - clean, comfortable, and entertaining. My crew especially loved the basement with dart board and billiards table, the amazing hot tub, and serene location. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well appointed, and location perfect. I enjoyed sitting in the small woods behind the house listening to the birds. Jim checked in throughout our visit to answer questions. Zero complaints about the place. We definitely want to return.

Family winter weekend

Great Ski House for Families!

We loved our stay! We have two children, seven years old and five years old, and the house was a perfect fit. House was very close to Butternut, an easy drive in the morning to the slopes, and also close to restaurants and shops for post-skiing activity. I would highly recommend the house and will likely stay again!

Perfect Winter Getaway

We spent 3 nights at the cabin and it was the perfect hideout in the woods for 6 adults and 2 grand kids. We spent most of our time on the main level between the open kitchen and the living room with a roaring fire. The downstairs with the TV and pool table worked out great for the world cup game. The owners were very accommodating and communication was great. It snowed the entire weekend but that just made it more cozy. We VRBO every December for 8 years and the family said this was their favorite place.

Family weekend in Monterey Mass Cabin

We were a family of 5 adults and one infant looking for a secluded property August 2022 and this cabin did not disappoint. We spent alot of time on The spacious screened deck during the warm daytime hours to cool off, and we enjoyed the outdoor area and hot tub too. Everyone was able to find a comfortable space to work or play. Great set up in the basement for family movie nights. Would definitely consider it for a winter visit as well.

weekend away with friends in the berkshires

wonderful home, clearly loved by it's owners with comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen, wonderful porch area to dine and hang out with friends. it was hot, hot, hot during our weekend stay but the fireplace, firepit and hot tub looked very enticing for those cooler days. thanks so much!

Great ski weekend!

We had an amazing weekend skiing in the Berkshires. The home is spacious, well appointed, clean and is perfectly located! The host was accessible and responsive. Hot tub and basement were amazing! Highly recommend and would definitely go back!

Best Family cabin

Couldn’t have been a more perfect home for our family and some friends to gather for a weekend! Super close to Butternut, super close to town, large, nicely decorated rooms, tons of DVD’s, great game basement, main floor had great CD’s with speakers in kitchen and main room, lots of firewood, showers with great pressure and nice and hot, great large kitchen table ……x I could go on and on. Will defiantly be going back!!

Great weekend away

We truly enjoyed our weekend stay at this lovely home in the Berkshires. The property is stunning and the house is spacious with a beautiful wood burning fireplace. The large finished basement with a pool table and TV was really fun on a cold Saturday night. Very convenient to ski at Butternut. Owners were so kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Can’t wait to return in the summer!

Great winter getaway

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The house was clean, comfortable, and spacious. My kids (2 and 6) loved the stay and were sad when we had to leave. So close to butternut and downtown great barrington which is great. Would love to experience the cabin in a different season next time. Jim was very helpful and provided simple instructions for check in and check out.

An easy decision

You cannot go wrong ! Stay here !! You feel at home the moment you arrive. So easy to just relax and enjoy the surroundings or everything the Berkshires has to offer. Beds are comfortable , showers are great. You won’t want to leave !!

Beautiful home in beautiful setting

We had a wonderful friends get away in this lovely home in the Berkshires. Able to do a nice walk from the house, great pool table, hot tub and fire pit. Could use a little better reading light in the living room but otherwise it was perfect. Owners were very easy to reach!

Great Weekend with Friends

Six of us (seniors) had a great weekend at the cabin. We enjoyed the living room and a wonderful fireplace , the pool table where a fierce tournament took place, and the large kitchen/ dining room area where we cooked, ate, and played games. There is plenty of room to move about inside and the outdoor area is beautifully landscaped. We didn’t take advantage of the hot tub, but it looked to be in great shape.. Thaanks, Jim and Lisa, for sharing your home with us.

In the summer, enjoy Tanglewood with great outdoor concerts or the pristine local beach just a mile away with a sparkling lake. Check out our vegetable garden and enjoy our Adirondack chairs and outdoor games. In the fall, enjoy our brand new Pickleball court, marvel at the foliage all around and go apple picking in town. In the winter, head over to Butternut for some great family skiing just a few minutes away. Come back to the cozy log cabin and snuggle by the fire, enjoying the radiant heated floors and views galore.
