Situado en el corazón de la Cordillera de Beartooth justo al lado de la principal José HWY (296), (Crandall Rd.), A sólo 24 millas al NE Entrada al parque de Yellowstone (Silvergate). A sólo 58 millas NO de Cody, WY. Desde aquí se tiene excursiones de un día perfecto para experimentar el Viejo Oeste.
Al sureste se encuentra Cody donde se puede disfrutar del mundo aclamado Museo de Buffalo Bill o disfrutar de un rodeo de noche, y disfrutar del sabor de un auténtico pueblo del oeste.

Para el NO es la entrada NE a Yellowstone Park y el famoso Valle de Lamar, el hogar de nuestras manadas de lobos y búfalos. En el camino, visitar el antiguo pueblo minero histórico de Cooke City, MT y disfrutar de la Teton como vistas de Piloto e índice.

Al NE, que viajará el aclamado Beartooth autopista, con sus ovejas de montaña, lagos glaciares y espectaculares vistas en su camino a Red Lodge, MT. Allí encontrará una encantadora ciudad occidental. Parada para almorzar o disfrutar de una cerveza ciudad natal.

Desde su acogedora barracón se puede caminar la pista de Lewis y Clark, ver cascadas, ver los nidos de águila pescadora, pescar Tenedor de Clark del río Yellowstone (sólo Designado Río de Wyoming SALVAJE), o dar un paseo a caballo. We felt very welcome here. The owners are onsite and were very informative of conditions in the area as well as spots we might enjoy visiting. Thankfully we had good weather as the cooking facilities are completely outdoors with the exception of a microwave and coffee maker. Be prepared to cook and do dishes completely outside on a 2 burner gas stove and grill. We enjoyed this and the view from the cooking area was spectacular. There are many beautiful hikes or overlooks to enjoy that are nearby.

Doug and Karen were great hosts! They let us get into our space early, we were on a motorcycle and needed to go pickup some groceries. Doug was very knowledgeable about the area and did a great job showing us around the place

I stayed here with a group of friends toexplore dirtbike trails near the east edge of Yellowstone NP. This is a wonderful stay, the owners very friendly and accommodating and maintain a beautiful property with great views and privacy. I highly recommend it!

Fabulous location, lovely stay

We really enjoyed staying at the "bunkhouse" and using it as a very comfortable base for hiking in the Beartooth Mountains. Our room was charmingly furnished and perfectly clean, and Doug and Karen were great hosts.

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was spotless and very convenient to Yellowstone and Beartooth Highway. Doug and Karen were very friendly. They have a lovely property and the views from the outdoor kitchen and hot tub are pretty spectacular. We stayed at the park long days but really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen the times we were at the bunkhouse. Would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking.

Most beautiful driving in scenery you will find just amazing

The bunkhouse was amazing clean neat everything you need the outdoor kitchen do you like out on the range the view undescribable took so many pictures everywhere you look is another beautiful scene. Just amazing. Will tell many stories of this trip to friends and family for years.

Gorgeous views!

Owners were very friendly, accommodating, easy to work with. Location was easy proximity to Yellowstone NE entrance, and Beartooth pass. Great hiking opportunities from the property. The Chief Joseph scenic byway was incredible. Accommodations were as expected.

Mountain getaway

Great Stay at the Bunkhouse!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Bunkhouse! Doug and Karen were wonderful hosts and the accommodations were exactly what I expected. The Bunkhouse is a great location to base yourself when traveling to Yellowstone, The Beartooth Highway, Cooke City, Silver Gate, Cody or Red Lodge. Recently Doug and Karen have upgraded their wi-fi network so you will have an easy time connecting your devices if you have to stay in touch with those at home or at work. However, my suggestion would be to turn those devices off and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the mountains. Thanks again Doug and Karen for an amazing stay!

Lovely property friendly hosts!

"Eye Candy"

When we booked our honeymoon we wanted to also check mark our bucket list. Honeymoon...Check, Out west...Check, Doug and Karen's VRBO Bunkhouse and property... Check, the sights of the surrounding mountains and animals,,,CHECK! Who needs Yellowstone? We didn't. That was one of our goals to go to Yellowstone. However that didn't happen due to the floods that just occurred a few days before arriving to Flatt Ranch. We had so much to do locally and on property that our days were filled. We rented a car and we put over 700 miles on the car driving into Cooke City, Bear Tooth Pass, Chief Joseph Highway, K bar Z ranch (horseback riding), hitting a bunch of camp grounds and hiking spots, hiking on property to the water falls, went to Cody for 2 days and shopped, Wild Bill Museum, the Rodeo (WAS AWESOME!!) and so much more. After the long days, come back to the bunkhouse grab our food to cook outside at their 5 star outside kitchen! Every utensil or dish you needed was there. Start a fire, relax in the hot tub and get lost in your own mind looking at the scenery around you. Oh...and the stars at night from the hot tub.....WOW! We were fortunate to see 4 grizzly bears, a moose, 4 elk, 12+mule deer (mostly bucks), weasel, rock chuck's, 2 antelope, and what we thought was a ground hog (LOL). All this wild life and not stepping one foot inside Yellowstone. We will end on this note as we could just keep typing. Doug and Karen were first class host's and have your best interest at heart. Immaculate bunkhouse, outdoor kitchen, property, and it's grounds. You WILL NOT be disappointed, actually you won't want to leave. God bless and thank you for one of the best moments in our lives. Hope to go back

Unfortunately, my wife and I did not get to stay more than 1 night. We were caught in the middle of the unprecedented flooding in YNP before we decided it would be safer for us to find another option for the remainder of our vacation. However, the short time we were there both Doug and Karen were very responsive and respectful. The property itself was in a good location and had more to offer than just a place to sleep at night. We wish we would have been able to explore their property and YNP. If the opportunity presents itself, we will definitely want to go back!

Flatt Ranch Bunkhouse

We had such an amazing experience and stay at the Flatt Ranch Bunkhouse. The property is spectacular with a lovely mountain range to gaze at. The bunkhouse is comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Located close enough to Yellowstone, but a must see is HWY 212.

Peaceful getaway

This property was serene and peaceful. We really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and views. It was beyond quiet out there. Everything you need is there and the owners were private and you didn’t even notice they were there. We enjoyed hiking, visiting Yellowstone, the rivers, the many falls, the quiet little towns, and the scenic Beartooth pass. We would love to visit again.

Lovely property

The room was perfect for the two of us who were there to explore Yellowstone. Everything was beautifully decorated and very clean. Property owner was thorough when explaining how to get around the area and use the outdoors kitchen.

Best place!

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was cute, warm and clean. Our hosts put great thought into making sure we would enjoy our stay - with much attention to detail. They were also very helpful with any questions we had, giving us tips and ideas of what to do in the area. Although it’s a bit of a drive from Cody, the view from the drive and the whole experience was well worth it! Thanks again Doug and Karen for hosting us!
