Casa de campo única con vistas a la montaña

Nuestra casa de campo se encuentra en Garvin Mesa, a 7 minutos de la ciudad de Paonia. La casa está rodeada de muchos árboles y agua corriente, por lo que se siente como un oasis. Tiene dos habitaciones privadas y confortables, una con una cama king y la otra con una cama queen. El baño contemporáneo tiene una ducha a ras de suelo. La cocina completa está bien equipada con todo lo que necesitará para preparar la comida. Afuera, encontrará un efecto refrescante de todos los árboles que soplan en la brisa y el agua que fluye a través de los arroyos. Para su relajación al aire libre, hay muchos lugares para desacelerar y relajarse, incluyendo cómodas sillas y bancos. Una gran área de césped rodea la casa para ayudar a enfriar las cosas con las montañas West Elk proporcionando el telón de fondo perfecto para completar la escena.
Una de las dependencias adyacentes a la casa una vez albergó la primera ubicación de KVNF, la estación de radio comunitaria de Paonia (1979).
El área de Paonia es un gran lugar para llevar sus bicicletas y recorrer la ciudad o recorrer algunos de los caminos rurales. Hay muchas rutas de senderismo locales disponibles también.

Incredible Oasis

We had such a lovely time at this beautiful home. It is an incredible location, close to town for anything you need, but you also feel all alone with the spectacular view of the valley below. Campbell and Susan were wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. They also help us get acquainted with the area. We enjoyed taking walks around the property and listening to KVNF each night as the sun set. 10/10; we would definitely love to come back again in the future! Thank you!

Perfect oasis in the heart of Paonia's wine country

We enjoyed a little bit of heaven here. The shade trees and setting were so inviting and refreshing on a HOT summer day. The home was clean and decorated artistically with charm providing an atmosphere of rest and peace. Hope to return some day. The views of the valley from the property gave us a star studded view.

A Little Bit of Paradise

We loved every part of our stay at this beautiful home. The property is so absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed the wild life especially, and the lavender fields are spectacular as well as the magnificent trees. We loved visiting with "Honey" the chicken who came to visit us each day. The only drawback is the difficulty in getting in and out of the driveway, but we managed fine.

The house is very cozy and comfortable, and the views from the property are spectacular (including the night sky, if you are into stargazing at all)! It’s a peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle. The hosts are lovely and make you feel at home. It was a nice break from the front range. Highly recommend!!

Almost Heaven

Almost Heaven, this West Elk VRBO comes with resident chicken “therapists”, (no rooster) visiting flocks of wild turkey, thrumming hummingbirds, apple orchards, fields of lavender and a great winery down the road. Quiet, tranquil and spacious with a great kitchen, it has wonderful views of the West Elks Mt. and the peaceful town of Paonia below, home to The High Country News, an internationally renowned award-winning environmental newspaper since 1969.

Wonderful garden escape!

This is our second stay at Campbell and Susan's house just outside of the lovely town of Paonia. The house has a beautiful garden, complete with blooming flowers, hammock and creek. We enjoyed the lavender harvest going on at the bottom of the property, which gave our kids a great hard work experience! And we love Paonia with its lovely community feel, park, river and good cafes and restaurants. A special treat is the easily accessible vineyards, including an excellent one right next to the property. We look forward to one day repeating the visit!

Just what I needed

This place was nice and easy. Everything we needed to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The house is full of art and character with cozy beds and comfortable furniture. Town close by to get beautiful fruits, veggies and wine to cook and enjoy the view of mountains through the fall colors of the yard's trees. A little stroll down to the lavendar garden where you are greeted by the neighborhood's wild turkeys. Deer and lots of good yard birds. Definitely a five star experience.

The Stanton Oasis

My wife and I loved this place. I booked it based on reviews and location without knowing much about the area. Spent three nights in July. Everything about the property was better than pictured or imagined. The house was clean, comfortable and decorated and furnished with quality items that one would place in their own home. Truly wonderful grounds with lavender field and fruit trees not to mention the beautiful views of the mountain. It was the place to unwind and relax after days hiking throughout Colorado. A couple of wineries are very close - Azura and Stone Cottage Cellars both are very good for different reasons. In Paonia we had a couple of good meals at the Living Farm Cafe where the service was as good as the food and good burgers at Delicious Orchards. The best part was the house and property - loved getting up to a view of the mountains and having coffee outside wandering the property and saying "Morning" to the turkeys that came every day. Exceeded our expectations!

The house was very spacious, inviting and clean. The owners were incredibly welcoming and kind. The property is beautiful with the best views of the valley we could ever ask for. The wineries close by are very high quality. Paonia was hopping with plenty to keep us as busy as we wanted to be. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Such a quiet, peaceful property!

Such a wonderful place to stay for a long weekend and visit the area of Paonia. We loved being able to just walk down the gravel road to the Stone Cottage Cellars where we were attending their winemakers dinner. We sat outside at night on the patio and it was so quiet!! I live in the mountains in Evergreen, CO and I thought it was so peaceful there! This place was even better. Both the queen and king beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped except we would suggest that they add some inexpensive wine glasses for their guests to use seeing how they are situated in a wine region. Other than that, no complaints here! Thank you, Stanton's for letting us stay at your home!

Wonder place off the beaten path

This was the perfect place for my family. The house was clean, well equipped and welcoming. The host was there to greet us upon arrival and was always available if needed. The property was wonderful for relaxing, bird watching or just sitting and looking at the scenery. This house was excellent and the hosts were wonderful. We would stay here again if ever in the area.

Great place -- awesome yard, close to wineries

We had a great stay at this property. This was our last stop on a two-week road trip and it was a nice, relaxing finish to a fabulous vacation. The home has an amazing yard and offers great views of the area. We were able to swing by the winery next door which had some great wine (Stone Cottage Cellars). The owners of Stone Cottage Cellars were very friendly/inviting even though we had our two young children with us. The owners of the home appear to live here at least part of the time (their items were still in the fridge/closets), but the place was very clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend eating at The Living Farm restaurant in town and, if you have children, visiting their working farm for a self-guided tour. Overall we would recommend this home as a great home base for exploring this area of Colorado.

Lovely home with an amazing yard

The house was very comfortable, clean and well-maintained. It's in a great location for visiting Paonia and surrounding communities. By far the best part of the property is the beautiful yard. We greatly enjoyed our stay!
