El apartamento es nuevo, muy privado, situado detrás de la calle en una zona tranquila. Se encuentra ubicado en un barrio colonial, Jalatlaco, uno de los barrios más tradicionales de Oaxaca, donde se puede sentir el cálido y acogedor de su gente. Está convenientemente ubicado a pocos pasos de restaurantes, tiendas de comestibles, el centro de la ciudad, galerías de arte y más. Este apartamento ofrece comodidad y confort combinados con ambiente rústico y extensa utilizado de la artesanía de Oaxaca moderna.
Entre en la propiedad, aunque un patio y un pequeño jardín, es los apartamentos, se encuentra en el segundo piso de la propiedad.
Abra la puerta de entrada de madera para entrar a la sala de estar con TV por cable, DVD, cable módem para acceso a Internet de alta velocidad y un baño de visitas.
Continuar es el 4 persona comedor con gran ventilación y luz. La cocina está totalmente equipada con todos los electrodomésticos que es necesario para hacer deliciosas comidas.
El apartamento, tiene una habitación, con una cama king size, con baño privado y acceso a la terraza interior.
Las habitaciones tienen mucha luz, muebles de madera, un gran armario y están decoradas con arte popular de Oaxaca para completar su comodidad.

Hay muchos de los restaurantes cercanos y cenadurías (pequeño restaurante a cenar), la Iglesia de Santo Domingo se encuentra a 10 minutos a pie y el Andador Turistico es la tierra de la ciudad de Oaxaca, donde se encuentran restaurantes de autor, escuelas de español, galerías de arte, biblioteca, conciertos, cafeterías y vida nocturna.
Oaxaca está catalogado como uno de los destinos mejores vacaciones en México, es una ciudad colonial, ruinas antiguas, un gran festival de verano Guelaguetza y el Océano Pacífico cerca.

You have to be crazy to cook in Oaxaca. They had all that you needed to do so but the food is so great why bother.

We had the most amazing time in Oaxaca and Ricardo is a fantastic host. He was very responsive to our questions and provided great advice on the best places to visit. We were on the third floor and the views here are beautiful. The neighborhood is full of great cafes and stores and people. It is a quiet area and everything is close by. It is also easy to get rides into town( we used the DiDi app) It is a walk up so if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues, consider renting the first floor flat. Also, it was quite warm during our stay, but the ac and fan kept us nice and cool. Great property

We loved staying at Casa de Barrio. Wonderful neighborhood with good restaurants and shops! Ricardo was very responsive to all our needs! Stayed in the top floor with amazing views of Oaxaca mountains! People were so friendly and helpful. Will stay again

Great apartment in a wonderful barrio

We were very happy staying here for two weeks. The terrace is a special treat, and Jalatlaco is a wonderful neighborhood of quiet streets filled with murals. It’s about a 25 minute walk from the Zocolo, but you can always catch a taxi back for 70 pesos.

This third floor apartment was perfect for our stay. The neighborhood was conveniently located close to the Centro, but a little calmer and quieter at night. The kitchen allowed us to cook some meals and make use of the local markets. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of closet space to unpack. It was also great to have the option of opening the screened windows or using the AC to cool down.

Perfect location

Jalatlaco is the oldest neighborhood in Oaxaca. It has always been special, but has become even more vibrant in the past few years. There is plenty to eat nearby and it is walking distance from El Centro. The apartment is perfect for a couple. We also rent one of the 3 bedrooms for the rest of our family.

Great apartment

We loved this apartment. It was perfect for 2 people. In a wonderful neighborhood - walking distance to El Zocalo, lots of restaurants nearby, felt safe walking at night (2 women - me and my teen daughter), beautiful patio. We also felt safe as there are two other apartments below. Kitchen w coffee maker, air conditioner and fan, nice bathroom with shower and another w just a toilet. We will be back! Excellent place!

Most amazing property and host!

Ricardo is one of the most amazing hosts we’ve dealt with! He is always available and even started the dead battery in our rental car. The patio is the most beautiful and relaxing space. The apartment is delightful, the a/c and appliances are great! Highly recommended A++

Great vacation

We had a great stay in Oaxaca. The apartment is located in very quiet and safe neighborhood. The apartment provided everything we needed for two of us. We had a rental car and we could easily park it behind the gate right in front of the property. We did not have to worry about possible scratches. The owner Ricardo was very approachable and attentive to all the questions we had.

Great upper terrace, nice views

We had an enjoyable stay in all three apartments. It was nice having our group in all three because it could be noisy with a loud group as there is somewhat of a courtyard that is open to the first two floors. The terrace here was wonderful both in the evenings and mornings. Ricardo the owner/ manager was more than helpful. He went beyond the call of duty to help us with the things we needed for our art retreat.

A gem in Jalatlaco

I have stayed in this apartment several times. The neighborhood is beautiful and has a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, and tiendas nearby. The Zócalo and pedestrian malls are walkable and Parque Llano is nearby also. The terrace is a delight both in the morning and at night. The apartment is super clean, comfortable and has a well equipped kitchen. Questions are answered promptly by the host. I hope to return to Oaxaca soon and look forward to staying at Ricardo's apartment again.

Oaxaca is special

The outstanding feature of this property is its location. Walking distance to great restaurants, shops, sites. Can't imagine a better location. The apartment was comfortable with all essential items though few extras. One towel apiece and one "hotel" sized soap to share. We had a problem with the check in. The combination number was wrong and it took over an hour to get someone to help us get in. After that, the host was very helpful and gracious. All things considered, this is a good place to stay when in Oaxaca.

Great patio views

This is a very good place. It has a great patio with a view. The king-sized bed was very comfortable and the although the apartment could get hot, the ac and fans worked well to mitigate any discomfort. The laundry area was a great bonus. People have mentioned ants, which existed, but just make sure to keep all your food in bags. Yes, the kitchen is small, but I didn't really cook much as there are so many great restaurants nearby. The really only complaint was the price, but anything in Jalatlaco is going to be pricey for the location and being a newly anointed Pueblo Magico neighbourhood. Overall a great place to enjoy Oaxaca.

Two great weeks in Jalatlaco

Ricardo's apartment is all anyone could ask for a two-person stay. Clean, well-equipped, great location in a trendy but quiet traditional neighbourhood. Our Mexican friends were impressed!

Awesome location

We loved staying here...the view is awesome, the deck a wonderful space, and the barrio is delightful and convenient to the centro. We didn't realize it was 3 flights up (it's a triplex) but the view was worth it. Private parking a big plus as street parking limited. A few things need fixing: There are some holes in the wall where something once hung;; a picture missing off another wall (bare nail and another semi-patched hole); needs a new couch (the non leather one just collapses when sitting on it); needs more kitchen utensils; better bath towels; more kitchen towels. The kitchen is incredibly tiny but not a huge deal if you don't cook meals there. Fine for one person and breakfast/snacks. The shower head needs replacing...water just spurts out all over and the water pressure is poor, making it difficult to wash up. We are definitely coming back to this area but probably not to this space if we want to stay longer and prepare meals. But it served it's purpose for a few days stay.

I stayed at Ricardo's property in Jalatlaco for a week in December. This was my second visit. Ricardo is a very kind and helpful host. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. It is within walking distance of Santo Domingo, Macedonio Alcalá and the Zócalo. There are lots of great little restaurants and cafes to explore in Jalatlaco and the surrounding area. I hope to stay there again soon.

Family Thanksgiving in Oaxaca

We had three generations of family on this trip, my 81 year old parents who stayed in the ground floor unit with my adult children, my brother's family with teenagers who stayed in the middle unit and my wife and I who stayed in the top floor unit. We spent many nights hanging out on the top floor terrace. Ricardo, who was very helpful, loaned us a large table which we used for a couple of dinners and game playing. The units were perfect for our stay and the Jalatlaco neighborhood is great and easy walk to the historic center. We highly recommend this place.

Wonderful Experience

We stayed in Ricardo's 1 bed/1 bath and 3 bed/3bath and had an excellent time. My husband's family lives a few blocks away, so the location is perfect for us, but Jalatlaco is also a beautiful neighborhood and perfectly situated. The apartments were perfect for 5 18-21 year olds and my husband and I. They are comfortable, clean and equipped with what you need. Ricardo is an incredible host and is always extremely helpful. This is the second time we've stayed in his apartments and I have recommended them to many friends. We will be staying there whenever we visit Oaxaca!

Excellent location, nice place

We had great communication with Mr. Cuevas. He gave us ideas of things to do and waited for our arrival to give us the keys. The place is quaint, it was clean and had the necessary things for our 3 day stay. The neighborhood is gorgeous and people are friendly. It was easy to walk to the center and other historical sites. I highly recommend this place.

Nice Apartment, Great Location

This is a nice sun-drenched mountain-view apartment with a wonderful balcony in a beautiful historic neighborhood close to everything. Air-conditioned, the interior is pleasant even on the hottest days. Ricardo is a very nice man and a responsive and easy-to-reach landlord who quickly deals with any requests. The only downside to this apartment is that the kitchen is very small and will not suit those who plan on doing a lot of cooking. Otherwise, it's an excellent place to stay.
