Escápate a la isla de Hornby, posiblemente una de las islas más hermosas del mundo. Nuestra casa es un arquitecto diseñado, casa completa con magníficas vistas del oeste y rodeado de exuberantes jardines.

La casa tiene acceso a nuestra playa más o menos privada ideal para la exploración de las piscinas de marea o simplemente para disfrutar de la tranquilidad de las vistas del oeste. Tenga en cuenta que somos una entidad bancaria alta y que una serie de tramos de escaleras se deben llevar a la línea de costa con nuestra plataforma.

La isla de Hornby es conocida por sus hermosas playas, sus excelentes rutas de senderismo y ciclismo de montaña y la cultura relajada y artística que prevalece en todas partes.

La mayoría de los visitantes disfrutan de Hornby durante los meses de verano y es quizás un secreto bien guardado que el mejor momento para estar en Hornby es en cualquier momento del año. Incluso en los meses de invierno más oscuros, la isla ofrece un maravilloso potencial de relajación y una gran cantidad de cosas que hacer.

Perfect stay in Hornby

This place is gorgeous - a small walk to the beach, tons of light, fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of space for 4 people. Martin was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We wish we didn’t have to leave, but we know we’ll be back.

The is was our third stay at KEMA House. As always our host Martin was very responsive and helpful. The home is very well equipped and it truly feels like a home away from home. There are multiple outdoor areas for quiet relaxation and we had beautiful sunset skies from the main deck each evening. Hope to enjoy this beautiful spot again next year!

Many thanks for your kind review. Most guests don't comment about the architecture. There is some neat undercover stuff on Hornby. If you ever return, I can provide a little architectural tour suggestion.

Rest and Relaxation

We had a wonderful stay at KEMA house. The beach across the street is deserted and the perfect little gem for a quiet morning coffee or lazy afternoon read away from everything. Very nice home and garden. Only one concern pertaining to the water. It would have helpful knowing about the sulphur content in advance.

Terry, Many thanks for your feedback regarding the sulfur taste of our well water. Future guests: Terry as well as all of our guests are informed that Hornby Island well water can have a sulfur taste depending on season and rainfall. This information is provided in a document we send to all of our guests in advance of their stay. Some guests fail to read this document and are therefore not aware of how to eliminate the taste or that we recommend the bottled water available at the local co-op. We will try to highlight this more explicitly in the future.

Hornby is beautiful in the spring!

I have never been to Hornby in the spring, and it was so peaceful! This house was in a great location, with it's own private beach. The house is very artfully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed.

Fall getaway

We had a wonderful November stay at the KEMA house. The property had everything we needed. It was a cosy and warm place to return to at the end of our days of long walks through various trails on beautiful Hornby Island. Martin was a very responsive host. We highly recommend a visit here.

Blissful Stay on Hornby

KEMA house was a wonderful place to call home for a week. The home was clean and obviously well loved by Martin and his family. Communication with the owner was very easy and timely. The property is private and tranquil and the beach across the street is virtually deserted! The sunsets from the beach and beautiful; bring a picnic basket and just immerse yourself in the beauty of the place. Thank you Rempel family for sharing your oasis with us!

A Home away from Home !

This home greets you immediately with warmth, charm & style! Loads of light including 3 decks accessing sun exposure anytime during the day. The decor is unique with collectibles and an intriguing library of books. The modern & amazingly equipped kitchen was easy to prep & enjoy our meals. Our October visit had many evenings sitting outside watching the sun setting. Oh & the outdoor shower is an experience not to be missed! We would love to repeat another holiday on Hornby Island with a stay at KEMA House. As the access to the beach, walks & cycling has it all! Perfect for our family

This house worked out perfectly for our family. The kids loved the playhouse and playing in the yard, and we loved getting some late-afternoon downtime on the front deck each day while they did so. It great to have a quiet, peaceful spot to relax after our days at the beach.
