Townhouse, walking distance to the Vila Nova de Milfontes beach. Located 800 m to the beach, in the beautiful, quiet alentejo coast. The beach is gorgeous. (See above pictures from closest (800m) beach and river). Very peaceful.Near to fishmarket and local stores as well. Residential area allowing a quiet restfull vacation days
House was recently renovated to more confort. Includes a backyard with space for barbeque eating and just sitting, reading a book and enjoying the quietness.
Front yard for parking or kids playing.
One open area in the ground floor and 2 bedrooms in the first floor.

If you enjoy quiet beach vacation, Vila Nova Milfontes is a wonderfull place worth visiting.
Furnas, on the other side of Mira River, was considered the best Delta river beach in Portugal in 2012.
Malhão, Porto Corvo, Zambujeira, Almograve, Aivados are other beautiful beaches less than 20-30 min away (also popular for surf).
If you enjoy walking, the views in along the coast are breathtaking. Dunes, the sunset by the sea, the sound and sea aromas. Unforgettable.

Fresh fish and fruit market is about 200 m, supermarket, pharmacy and other shops at the Village center about 600 m

Milfontes is a small village in the coast of Alentejo. It is around the delta of River Mira and therefore offers the option of a river beach as well as ocean beach.

Relaxing holiday

Milfontes is a long way from Scotland, but it was worth the journey. Beautiful place and lovely and warm. We enjoyed the beaches, the walks and the wild flowers. Nice cafes and restaurants in the town and area. And the house was just right for us. Everything we needed. A home from home!

Who can't relax here can't relax anywhere!

Nice little house where won't miss anything in a silent area. Stores and markets nearby. You can easily walk. A wonderful region especially for hikers and surfers. Perfect beaches. Good restaurants and really not a bit expensive. But be careful the food is fine but the quantity is unbelievable immense. The only reason to feel a little bit sad about: We hadn't the chance to meet our wonderful hostess Graça. We hadn't any problems but if, be sure she would have solved them ;-).

A beautiful house in the heart of Vila Nova de Mil

We absolutely loved this house! The rooms were cozy and well decorated. We felt right at home. It was very nice to grill and eat outside enjoying the nice weather and the privacy of the terrace. The property is walking distance from the historic part of the town, beach, local farmers market and all the major atractions. We particularly enjoyed the walks along the dunes! We also drove to the other side of the town and explored nature on its pure state! As a family of 6 we couldn't have found a better arrangement in a town as lovely as Vila Nova de Milfontes is!

Great place

We spent a great week in Vila Nova de Milfontes in this place. The house is well located, in walking distance to the city centre, the beach and the mercato. The house is well furnished with a beautiful living room, an open kitchen, good equipment, two beautiful bedrooms and a nice backyard. The landlord, Graca, was very kind and helpful, also her reccomendations for things to do. The region is great, pretty calm and relaxed, spectacular beaches - some with wild waves, some perfectly ok for kids. You can rent a canoe to ride on the Rio Mira, in Vila Nova or in Odemira, to cruise further into the Alentejo. Obviously you can also ride the bike or do some hiking. Even though we were there in the main holiday season it wasn't too crowded, especially compared to other European holiday regions. Vila Nova itself is nice and cosy, good restaurants and shops.

gute Lage

Das Haus liegt sehr zentral in Milfontes. Der Strand, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (ein toller Fischmarkt), Bar´s sind fussläufig zu erreichen. Die Buchung mit Graca war sehr unkompliziert. Sie ist sehr freundlich und hat uns mit genügend Vorabinformationen über Haus und Lage informiert. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Familienurlaub bei hervorragendem Wetter in Milfontes. Danke dafür!

una casita llena de comodidades

Fué un poco difícil dar con la casa, nadie en el pueblo conocía la dirección, pero finalmente la policia local nos ayudó a encontrarla. La casa está muy centrica de tal manera que se puede ir andando a todos los lugares del pueblo. Hay un mercado a 5 minutos y supermercados en los alrededores. Cuando llegamos la casa estaba muy limpia, cosa de agradecer. En la casa puedes encontrar todos los utensilios de cocina que puedas imaginar, el mobiliario es funcional y la disposición de sábanas y toallas extraordinaria.El patio es muy agradable donde se pueden hacer todas las comidas del día. La propietaria es una persona muy disponible aunque no se encuentra fisicamente en Milfontes, tuvimos un problemilla con el gas que, tras contactar con ella telefonicamente, se solucionó en el mismo día. Un lugar al que volveriamos sin dudarlo. Muito obrigada Graça

Great Getaway on the Atlantic

The house was just like in the descriptions on the website. The kitchen set-up is great and there was everything one could hope for in terms of utensils etc. There were plenty of towels and sheets. Both bathrooms have good showers. The backyard was our second living room. There is a BBQ that we used almost every night. The neighbourhood was quiet. A wonderful market with frest produce and fish is just around the corner, as well as supermarkets and great restaurants offering local specialties. The owner was very quick in responding and made us feel more than welcome. I would recommend this place to anyone seeking relaxing holidays on the amazing coast of Alentejo.

Very spacious, with a nice layout for family living, and an enclosed little garden with outdoor seating/table and sun umbrella for ones to enjoy eating outside if desired. Graca communicated very effectively, once we connected on WhatsApp and the check in instructions, house guide and local recommendations were excellent. Also we had some issue with the gas stove as we are not used to it, and Graca was very quick to help and gave clear instructions to how it works.The accommodation was clean and very well equipped, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. We also liked the walkable distance to the nearby local beach that offered calm wading waters to our toddler as well as waving Atlantic Ocean for those seeking that. Quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay.

Séjour très agréable dans une maison parfaitement bien placée (tout peut se faire à pieds !)

Très bon accueil de Graça. La maison est bien conçue, avec notamment 2 salles de bains (dont une, petite, au rez-de-chaussée) et une cour intérieure très calme, pour les repas. La cuisine est richement équipée. Propreté au top à l'arrivée. Et la ville est agréable, animée sans être trop "touristique" (rien à voir avec l'Algarve !). Cerise sur le gâteau, le tarif de cette location est très compétitif pour un groupe ou une famille de 5 personnes.

Ein sehr schönes und super zentral gelegenes Ferienhaus bei dem alles passte. Die Ausstattung des Hauses lässt keine Wünsche offen, alles war vorhanden. Die Vermieterin Graca war sehr nett und total hilfsbereit. Vila Nova de Milfontes eignet sich gut als Badeort - 5 Minuten zu Fuss zum Strand und für Ausflüge in die wirklich schöne Umgebung. Wir können das Ferienhaus absolut weiterempfehlen.

Lovely house in ideal location

Really enjoyed our stay. House had everything needed, truly a home from home. Communication with the owner was excellent from the very start. The property is situated a short walk from some excellent restaurants, pastry shops and beaches. Walks along the stunning coastline can be started from the house or many more of the other stunning areas are a short drive a short drive away. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Gepflegtes Ferienhaus in guter Lage

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, alles hat funktioniert, sehr sauber, gute Lage, nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuß und man ist mitten im Zentrum.

Bellissima casa

Abbiamo soggiornato a Vilanova in casa della signora Graca una settimana ad agosto. Abbiamo trovato la casa perfetta per una famiglia con tre bambini come la nostra e, anche se su due piani, priva di pericoli. Ci sono due bagni, un grande soggiorno, una cucina superaccessoriata e uno spazio esterno con il barbecue, dove abbiamo passato tutte le nostre serate nello splendido clima dell'alentejo. Graca è una proprietaria fantastica, gentilissima e sempre disponibile. Aggiungo che la casa era pulitissima. Grazie a Graca per la magnifica ospitalità da tutta la famiglia!

Thanks for the nice comments and for being a great guest. Took the liberty of including a google translation for others reference We stayed in Vilanova at Graca´s for a week in August. We found the perfect home for a family with three children as ours and, although on two floors, without dangers. There are 2 baths, a large living room, a kitchen super equipped and an outdoor area with barbecue, where we spent all of our evenings in the beautiful atmosphere of the Alentejo. Graca is a wonderful host, very kind and always available. I add that the house was spotless. With Graca for the wonderful hospitality from the whole family!

Sehr schön gelegenes Ferienhaus in Milfontes

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Urlaubswoche in Vila Nova de Milfontes verbracht. Das Ferienhaus liegt ruhig und direkt im Ort. Man erreicht Strände und Restaurants gut zu Fuß. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Es ist sauber und stilvoll, persönlich eingerichtet. Unsere Vermieterin Graca ist sehr nett und aufmerksam. Die Buchung war angenehm und alles hat perfekt geklappt. In Milfontes haben wir relativ wenig deutsche Urlauber getroffen, es war im September wenig touristisch, die Strände gehörten uns fast alleine. Herausragend sind die Restaurants, in denen man hervorragend Fisch und portugiesische Gerichte essen kann. Die Preise im Restaurant sind günstiger als in Deutschland. Das Ferienhaus in Milfontes ist zu empfehlen, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Idéal en famille

Une excellente adresse pour découvrir la côté de l'Alentejo en famille. Un lit parapluie avait été mis à disposition pour notre petit garçon. La plage est à quelques minutes à pied. A quelques encablures de magnifiques paysages!
