Peace and Tranquility

a truly wonderful house to stay in with beautiful views from the lounge and bedrooms, large verandah for al fresco eating and drinking.A fully equipped kitchen with practically every utensil you will need.A great location for walking, fishing or driving elsewhere. Highly recommend

Wonderful cabin at stunning location

We loved the cabin with its stunning views, handy location, and excellent facilities. Urke and Noringfjord are absolutely beautiful, with mountains raising directly from the water. We had an absolutely brilliant time despite rainy weather - made good use of the boat for fishing, climbed to Saksa, and walked down to the village bar/restaurant, as well as exploring local sights, which are easy to reach by car. At the cabin, there is a lovely covered outside decking; plenty of space and beds; the kitchen has pretty much everything you could need, including all basics (including coffee, sugar, spices); and the washing/drying facilities were the best I've experienced. Rune and Emma were very helpful with fast responses. Truly recommend this cabin!

Wiederkehr

Bereits im vergangenen Jahr haben wir eine Woche im Haus von Rune in Urke verbracht. Die Kinder haben das seitdem immer wieder von Urlaub in diesem kleinen tollen Ort und dem Haus geschwärmt. Also haben wir kurzfristig einen weiteren Stopp in urke bei Rune gemacht. Trotz einigen Regentagen war es wieder sehr schön.

Beautiful cabin in absolute amazing location

We have spent a beautiful week in this lovely cabin, everything was as good as described, nothing missed! The location around the house is just breath taking, perfect for hiking and fishing, too. We really recommend to have a stay there

Ein kleines Idyll

Tolle sieben Tage haben wir in Urke im Haus von Rune erlebt. Das Haus in perfekter Lage im Hang mit Blickrichtung zum Fjord und kleinen Hafen hat uns, trotz des vielen Regens, einige schöne Stunden und Tage verbringen lassen. Dem Haus fehlt es an nichts, es ist super eingerichtet. Die Mitternachtsaussicht von der Terrasse ist traumhaft. Rune war bei fragen telefonisch sofort zur Stelle. Wie konnten uns auf Deutsch gut mit ihm verständigen. Ein paar Tipps zum Angeln in den Bergseen konnte er geben. Sowohl Wanderungen auf die naheliegenden Gipfel als auch die kleinen Ausflüge mit dem Motorboot haben alle genießen können.

Autentisk hytte i de mest fantastiske natur omgivelser

Hytten er bygget med elementer af klassisk norsk stil, er godt indrettet og beliggende på en ugenert naturgrund i smukke omgivelser. Den smukke udsigt og natur er virkeligt noget særligt, og er endnu flottere end billederne. Værten svarer hurtigt på spørgsmål.

Schönes Ferienhaus mit allem was man braucht!

Wir haben in diesem rustikalen Ferienhaus mit sehr ordentlicher und gut sortierter Innenausstattung im Juni 2022 drei Wochen Urlaub verbracht. Besonders gefallen hat uns die Lage des Hauses mit schönem Fjordblick als guter Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen in die nähere und weitere Umgebung. Ebenso möchten wir die inklusive Bootsnutzung mit praktischer Lage an der kleinen Marina hervorheben. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber wir bewerten wir ebenfalls als sehr positiv. In den vielen Jahren, die wir jetzt schon nach Norwegen fahren, hatten wir zum ersten Mal Zecken an diesem Objekt - sehr ungewöhnlich. Etwas getrübt wurde die Urlaubsruhe zeitweise durch Bauarbeiten an mehreren Ferienobjekten in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft zu diesem Zeitpunkt. Anzumerken wäre vielleicht noch, dass das Haus über 12 recht schmale und steile Natursteinstufen zu erreichen ist, für ältere Gäste bzw. für Personen mit Einschränkungen möglicherweise problematisch. Alles in allem haben wir uns in diesem Ferienhaus sehr wohl gefühlt und bedanken uns bei Rune für die Gastlichkeit.

Amazing location and views

The pictures set some high expectations, but the location was even more amazing. There is a cabin behind this one, but no one is close on the front, so the views are wonderful and the area feels very private. The cabin itself is very spacious, with high ceilings upstairs and a lot of sleeping options. Great outdoor seating on the porch, and a charcoal grill. The town is super small, but only a short walk away and there’s a great local pub right on the water.

Even better than I had remembered!

This was a second visit so we had high expectations, but this beautiful house in a peaceful and perfect environment exceeded even those. Urke is a fantastic spot and the hillwalking opportunities on its doorstep are boundless. I hope to be back some day...

Great house in a fantastic setting

Urke is a really beautiful place, in the midst of some of the best mountain and fjord scenery there is. It's a peaceful and secluded spot, off the main tourist trail, and so is ideal for enjoying the nature, the outdoors and the culture of the place, as well as to just relax. The house itself is ideal; spacious, well equipped and very comfortable, and with spectacular views too. What more could anyone want? Many thanks Rune for a great stay in this fantastic place!

Tranquil Getaway

With breathtaking views of fjords and mountains, this really is a little gem. We spent our time in the boat, pootling from coast to coast as well as exploring the local area and walking up numerous mountains. We were very fit when we arrived home. The local shop was well-stocked too which was handy. A comfortable, home that was clean and tidy and equipped to a high standard. We would light the fire each evening which the children thought was great and which made for many cosy nights playing cards, chatting and just generally relaxing after what turned out to be a rather active week. Well equipped too, we didn't want for anything from cooking utensix

Idyllic

Peaceful Urke was the perfect location to experience the splendor of the majestic fjords. The cottage was homely, clean and perfect for a relaxing time for our family of four (there are enough beds for more than double that, a very tight squeeze it would be!) The views are beautiful, everything so quiet and the surrounding area wonderful to explore and hike. Thank you Rune for a fabulous holiday!

"Magnifique chalet, plein de charme, très bien arrangé, spacieux, très propre, très bien équipé, vue splendide sur le fjord, bref un endroit que nous conseillons de tout coeur. De plus, un bateau à moteur est à notre disposition et permet des sorties inoubliables dans le majestueux fjord. La région est très belle. "Wir haben zwei traumhaft...

"Wir haben zwei traumhafte Wochen in diesem Haus verbracht. Die Auststattung war perfekt, und die Einrichtung entsprach genau unserem Geschmack. Alles war ziemlich neu, hell und wirkte freundlich. Egal wo man sich in dem Haus befand, durch die vielen Fenster hatte man immer einen wunderbaren Panoramblick auf den Fjord und die Berge. Wir haben meistens auf der Terrasse gegessen, denn der Blick von hier lässt einen vermuten, dass man ganz alleine in der wunderschönen Umgebung wohnt. Es gibt zwar einige weitere Ferienhäuser in der Umgebung, aber durch die Hanglage bleiben sie sozusagen unsichtbar. Man sollte es nicht versäumen, auf einen der umliegenden Berge (z.B. Saksa, Slogen, Skarasalen) zu gehen. Von hier oben hat man einen fantastischen Ausblich auf die Umgebung. Aber auch das Angeln vom Boot aus viel Spass gemacht und war sehr erfolgreich."
