This party have posted a mediocre review because they have had a deposit deduction. I will deal with their points in turn. The kitchen is very modern and extremely well equipped and could never be described as 'worn'. The trash bin may have been dirty but that's the point of a trash bin. The bed linen is all good quality linen. We have never had a compaint about this. As the reviewer admits, they showed up with 12 people when they had booked for 9. Our villa sleeps a maximum of 10 and we had actually given them a discount on the price for 10 people. They asked our villa manager on arrival if they could have additional bed linen for the inflatable double matresses which they had brought with them. Six hours after they were due to arrive they called our manager to say they were lost about 25km from the villa. He went to find them and guided their convoy back to the villa. At their checkout they wanted to leave at 3am. Our terms and conditions (which they received) stated that there would be a charge for extra people and for out of hours arrivals and departures. We have to pay our villa manager for these additional charges and simply passed them on to the group. Following their departure it was discovered that a coffee machine was missing (presumed broken and disposed of) and several beach towels were also missing. They left all five bathrooms, the kitchen and the beds in such an appalling state that we had to pay for additional cleaning costs. Throughout their stay they were rude and dissmisive when dealing with our villa manger. The deposit deduction which was made comes nowhere near to compensating us for the losses/additional costs resulting from their stay.

Dear Sylvia, I am sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay at our villa. We have been successfully renting for over ten years to demanding guests from all over the world,; some of the them return several times. In fact, guest who stayed after you, came back for the fourth year in a row and already requested to book again for next year. When you selected our property you had a chance to look at the photos and read the reviews - the villa is exactly as it is described on the website. My announcement says:"Villa at Antheor - Stunning Esterel views, steps from the beach, pool", "super villa" - this is exactly what it is! At least this is how it appears on the original listing at VRBO in English. You asked me to reduce the price to accommodate your budget, which I did - perhaps, the level of luxury that you require is outside of this price range? Once again, I am sorry about your experience - most guests enjoy the beach, the mountains, bringing families together and make the most of their vacation. However, I will certainly make improvements - which we do after every season. Best regards, Olga

Cher Thierry, merci pour vos commentaires. Je suis contente que tout est bien passé et désolée que les volets dans la chambre principale ne fonctionnaient pas. Nous ne les utilisons jamais comme on préfère d’avoir une vue mer dégagée et se réveiller aux ondes:) Il était impossible les réparer pendant la saison locataire - on va regarder après et prendre la décision de les laissant ou pas. Isabelle, merci pour vos commentaires. Je suis désolée si vous n’avez pas trouvé la supérette près du viaduct a 100 m de la villa. Ils ont le pain frais pendant toute la journée et les épiceries principaux nécessaires (sauf viandes et poissons). La supérette était certainement ouverte avant votre arrivée et c’est toujours très pratique pour des nécessités quotidiennes. Et il y a plus de magasins à Agay à 3 km. Pour la bruit - oui, il peut être un peut bruyant pendant la haute saison, mais c’est le prix pour être près de la mer - c’est comme ça partout à Côte D’Azur.
