This is indeed a “gem”. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and very much hope to return next year. The location is perfect. This was our 8th visit to Tubac and this house is the top of our list.

Perfect for our Nogales High reunion weekend at the Tubac Resort. The house was spacious, well maintained, comfortable, had everything we needed and was beautifully decorated. The pool was great and its fountain so soothing while we enjoyed the spectacular view and outdoor spaces in the back yard. The only downside was the mosquitos were out in force (fortunately we had packed repellent). The kitchen was large and had all the stuff we needed to cook & serve great meals. Definitely would recommend for anyone who needs a place in the Tubac/Tumacacori/Nogales area.

Good Vacation Value

The three bedroom, two bath house has all you need for a small group or family, including a heated pool and proximity to Tubac. While the prooperty is certainly not new, it is well kept up and very comfortable. You will enjoy the interior Mexican decor. The owner, Raquel, is easy to reach by phone and very responsive should you have requests. A very good value. March of 2025 has been our third annual stay at this property and we will definitely be back again next year. Highly recommended.

Top notch property

If you want privacy and a pool, within walking distance of a golf resort, this is the place. Mountain views and dark skies at night are a plus. Amazing shops nearby; The home was stocked with everything we needed and the host was very responsive to my queries. Loved every minute of our stay.

Beautiful setting

The view of the mountains is breathtaking. We were lucky enough to be there to see the full moon rising. Home was spacious and comfortable. Quiet neighborhood close to Tubac Golf resort (walkable) and shopping.

Just Like The Home That it Is

Many VRBOS's are stripped down, overly sanitized and feels like your staying in some money-making property. Here I felt like our cool Aunt let us crash at her place. It wasn't fancy but very home-y. It wasn't under decorated, but full of desert and Mexican themed art and trinkets. We loved it, and the pool was very welcoming as the day heated up. We've stayed at casitas a little further from the highway and it had been quieter but the back of the house, where you really hang out, is not bad.... Kind of like white noise in the background. We used the chiminea one night and we cooked in the well appointed kitchen two nights. All in all we had a lovely visit and would stay there again.

An Excellent Stay During Wedding Weekend

Family Celebration

Wonderful place to celebrate a birthday and 60th wedding anniversary. Everyone enjoyed it, we talked about getting together there again in the future. The decorations inside the house are the best of any short stay home we have ever been in. .

Spacious Old World Charm

This is a lovely property and has a happy vibe! It's an older house but full of charm and quite spacious compared to most of the newer homes. The patio area is lush and delightful, and the pool is an added bonus. We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is quiet, calming and we hope to return again. Una casa muy especial! The owner is very accommodating and easy to contact.

My name is Raquel, I live in Phoenix AZ. I was born and raised in Nogales, Arizona graduated from Nogales High School and the University of Arizona. I was a Special Education Teacher for 12 years.

Having grown up in Nogales, I have a special love for the Southwest. After I graduated from college and met my husband we moved around to different parts of the US, but I always longed to return to the desert. In 2005 we moved back to Phoenix where I could be closer to friends and family. Because we found ourselves traveling down south so often to enjoy the beauty and cooler weather of Southern Arizona my husband and I decided to buy a home that we could enjoy with our family and friends.
