Esta casa se encuentra en una finca privada de 6000 m2 rodeada de montes plantados de olivos centenarios y sierras con vistas espectaculares sobre el mayor lago de Andalucía, ofrece las comodidades actuales, aire acondicionado y chimenea de leña,

En sus amplias terrazas se puede disfrutar de un agradable clima , de la piscina, barbacoa o entretenerse jugando al ping pong, además de las magníficas vistas. Muy tranquilo y aislado con piscina privada, ideal para que una familia completa pase sus días de vacaciones disfrutando del contacto con la naturaleza y conociendo esta comarca llena de una belleza singular.

A 6 Km del pueblo de Iznajar que nos ofrece todos los servicios ( Médicos, Farmacia, Bancos, Restaurantes, Bares, Tiendas de alimentación etc. Muy cerca esta la playa de Valdearenas donde se puede disfrutar de la practica de deportes como Kayak, hidropedal, padel sur ,paseos en barca, vela, tenis , etc.

A poco mas de 1 hora de Córdoba (ciudad monumental e historia, Patrimonio de la Humanidad). A 50 minutos de Antequera y del Parque Natural del Torcal. Aproximadamente a 1 hora de Granada donde se encuentra la Alhambra y sierra nevada donde se practica el ski. A 1 hora de Málaga y de la Costa del Sol y a 2 horas de Sevilla.

Incredible property and location. The views from the outside terrace breathtaking.

We had a fabulous time at the villa. Peace and tranquility combined with good access to the surrounding tourist areas of Córdoba, Granada, Malaga and Antequera. The small town of Iznajar also worth a visit. We highly recommend this villa.

Great house with tremendous view in peaceful location

Well equipped and very clean property, exactly as described by friendly and welcoming owners - willing to help with anything. Stunning views and sunsets. Shaded areas for when the sun gets too much. Strong wifi. Good air conditioning. Lovely pool. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended - would be very pleased to return for another visit.

A perfect holiday home!

We had a fantastic week in this beautiful house. The view of the lake, the mountains and the surrounding olive groves is simply stunning. As everyone else has mentioned, Juan Carlos and his family are incredibly welcoming and friendly. Ruben was brilliant as the translator! The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and it was very clean, both inside and out. We really enjoyed the pool area and the sunsets from the terrace each evening were fabulous. Would highly recommend this home and would love to stay here again one day!

A lovely house in a beautiful location, with great owners

We had a fantastic fortnight here. Six adults and two young children enjoyed it tremendously. We had a warm and hospitable welcome from J. Carlos and his family, who brought food and drinks for our arrival. We loved just getting away from it all, taking in the views, the swimming pool and the weather. If you wanted to explore more there's plenty to do but a quick trip to Granada and another to the beach was enough for us. We definitely recommend it - certainly if you are keen to get away from the hustle and bustle (and the masses) of the more touristed coast.

Heaven!

Beautiful location, wonderful hosts. We were a group of eight people and all had plenty of room to rest, relax and enjoy. Very clean, with all the amenities you need. The location allows for day trips to smaller cities in the area (Rute, Lucena, Priego de Cordoba etc.) and even the larger cities like Granada, Cordoba and Malaga. Wonderful to come back to this spot at the end of a day of sight-seeing, so quiet and the view is out of this world. Pour yourself a glass of Rioja and watch the sunset! Thanks again to Carlos and Francesca, such wonderful people!!

Wonderful Experience

It was such an honor to meet our hosts, Juan Carlos and his family. They are the most kind and warm, hardworking, representing the best of Andalusia. The view was just incredible, surrounded by olive trees with mountains and lake, everyone in our group were awed by the beauty of the surrounding. The place is conveniently located between Granada and Cordoba, making day trips possible. The house has everything our group of 8 adults needed. Markets and restaurants are all within minutes of driving. I hope to come back to this incredible place and incredible people.

Sunsets!

We had a brilliant time visiting Andalusia thank you. We will be back to see so much more. The villa was spot on, had everything we needed. The hosts were great and accommodating of our late arrival. Juan was quick to reply to all our messages. Lovely guy! We enjoyed days around the pool and visiting the area. The adrenaline ride on the last 200m was even fun once we were sure. The pictures, though spectacular, do not even do justice to the views. Just amazing vista across the lake. We sat every evening just marvelling at the sunset. Thank you Juan and your family.

Pleasant stay here!

We stayed at Juan‘s house for a couple of weeks in the summer and really enjoyed it! The house is spacious and leaves more than enough room for everybody. Our personal highlights were the two terraces on the upper floor and at the front porch, both with beautiful views of the lake, especially during sunset. The pool is big as well and nicely designed with steps rather than a ladder and a beautiful floor. Personally, we did not use the indoor dining table, but in the rare case of bad weather it should also provide a nice alternative to the outside terrace. Lastly, the family of Juan were the most welcoming hosts imaginable, they came from time to time in order to clean or do maintenance work on the pool, sometimes they even brought us fruit or local goods, which we really enjoyed! All in all we can only recommend Juan‘s house and still have a lot of beautiful memories from our vacation there!

Peaceful location, fabulous views and authentically Spain

Ruben and Carlos were attentive hosts. We appreciated the welcoming beer, cheese and melon. It was a fabulous property with plenty of space although difficult to find, maybe a sign at the top of the steep driveway would be useful as you can't see the villa from the top. We managed not having a 4x4 but needed a car with a bit more power than our rental car. The villa is amongst olive groves on the side of a hill and away from it all, perfect for what we wanted. The views of the sunsets over the lake were glorious. The bread van was a delight.The supermarket at Rute was easy to get to and sufficient for our needs. We visited Alhambra and Cordoba both within easy reach and the town of Iznajar was charming. We also found horse riding within a short drive. All in all it was a superb holiday. Thank you Ruben and Carlos

A large, well equipped house in a quiet location with lovely views.

The house is as described and pictured - spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. Juan Carlos was a delightful host and that, combined with the comfortable, well equipped house, made for a lovely relaxing holiday. He was particularly kind to us when we had to postpone our holiday 2 years in succession due to Covid restrictions. The views from the terrace meant we spent lovely evenings gazing at the view. The swimming pool allowed us to cool down in the hot weather and there was always a shady spot to sit and enjoy the breeze when it got hot. It is a very quiet, rural area with lovely, scenic, white villages to visit. We had previously visited Cordoba before staying at the house and this made for a good split between city sightseeing and rural tranquility. There is very good supermarket – Mercadona – in Rute (15 mins away) where we were able to buy excellent supplies for when we wanted to cook or make ourselves salads etc. They also have a good range of ready to eat meals including fresh pizzas, pastas etc. The nearby local restaurant – El Charcon – serves wonderful Spanish food – ideal for meat and fish eaters, although there are non-meat options. Our view is that most portions would happily feed 2! Nice restaurants in Iznajar as well. An ideal place for people who want rural tranquility, although Iznajar and Rute are both within 15 minutes easy drive and it is possible to drive to Cordoba or Granada within about an hour or so. Definitely somewhere to return to.

The house was perfect! Spectacular and amazing home, and caring and attentive host! We loved it!

There is so much we can say... Iznájar and this home made for one of the best trips ever. Where to begin... We loved staying here. My husband, my boys, and I had an amazing time. The view was spectacular! The views during the morning, day, and sunsets made for an unforgettable breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The sunsets were just beautiful! The house was perfect and incredibly peaceful. We were happy to be away from our city lives. The town and the people were lovely and very friendly. We ate at one of the restaurant Carlos recommended and the food was delicious and plenty. We took some for lunch the next day. We shopped in Rute, 12 minutes away, and the small shop, which is located in the center of the street. The owner and the older gentlemen were nice to talk too. Carlos and his family were very welcoming and so wonderful. They welcomed us with cheese, fruits, Jamon. They were very accommodating and helped us getting around. We felt like we were with family. Carlos’ dad gave us fruits for our trip. He reminded us of our beautiful grandparents back in our parents native country. The hardest thing for us was leaving and saying good-bye to Carlos, his family, the house, and the sunsets. This was my first time staying in HomeAway, and we are so happy we found this home but most importantly Carlos and his family. We will be returning soon. Thank you Carlos and family for your hospitality, and thank you to Iznájar for making this one of the most memorable vacations for us. We’ve been to many places but this was truly a home away from home with the beauty and splendor that this home offers.

Vacaciines en Familia

Hola a todos, Hemos estado una semana en la casa de Juan Carlos y la estancia ha sido excelente. La casa es muy comoda y mucho mas bonita de lo que se aprecia en las fotos. Hemos estado 10 personas y no falta de nada. La piscina fenomenal y hay que decir que la casa cuenta con aire acondicionado en todas las estancias, fundamental en estas fechas. En definitiva, hemos pasado una semana en familia agradable y tranquula segun lo previsto. El entoeno es muy bonito y la ubicaciin de la casa te permite visitar ademas de Iznajar, Cordoba, Granada, Malaga que esta a una hora en coche y Jaen o Ronda que estan a una hora y quarto si os apetece mucho turisteo. Los anfitriones, tanto Juan Carlos.como su mujer han estado pendientes de todo y han acudido rapodamente cunado ha sido necesario asi que muchas gracias por vuestra dedicacion.

Magnifica vivienda en el corazon de Andalucia

La vivienda es una pasada. Esta ubicada en el corazón de Andalucia y esta cerca(a 1 hora de Granada, Cordoba & Malaga) Tiene mucho espacio y muchos servicios disponibles para poder disfrutarla(barbacoa, piscina, mesa de ping pong etc) Juan Carlos es super amable y flexible, por culpa del trafico hemos llegado super tarde pero el nos recibió con una sonrisa y mucho cariño. Seguro que en algún momento volveré a reservar la casa teniendo en cuenta la experencia que tuve con Juan Carlos.

Vacaciones en Familia

Alojamiento ideal para ir en familia y con amigos. La casa perfectamente acondicionada, con una piscina desde la que se pueden disfrutar de unas vistas increíbles. Los dueños de la casa súper atentos. Repetiremos seguro.

Cozy Villa with Stunning Views of the Lake

The drive up to the villa from the main road seemed treacherous at first. But we were soon rewarded with a stunning view of the whole olive grove backdropped against the beutiful Iznajar lake. It was worth the 5 hour drive from Madrid! La Vesanilla is a simple villa large enough for a family of 10 - 12. Our family of 8 fitted in perfectly in the 5 bedroom villa equipped with 3 bathrooms - thank god. This ensured that we never had to line up to take a shower or do our business... The kitchen was also well equipped with all the cutlery, oven, dishwasher, coffee machine, etc. So if you were stranded here, it should not be a problem, provided you bring enough food supplies. We were warmly greeted by the owner, Juan Carlos, his wife Pacqui and son Reuben. They were very welcoming and helpful. Conversing in broken English wasnt a problem at all for us to locate the various facilities and understand how to operate each one. As we arrived during winter, the fireplace was convenient and effective in warming up the whole villa. The kids were disappointed that they could not swim in the pool. The water was cold, so we didnt dare venture into it. If we came during summer, this would have been the perfect hangout for the kids. The villa was only 15 minutes drive from Rute, where a large hypermarket - Mercadona - stocked everything you needed for your stay. Located centrally in Andalusia - Cordoba to the north, Malaga to the south, Granada to the east and Antequerra/Seville to the west - every major Andalusian city was only 1 - 2 hours drive away. We spent our 9 days at the villa exploring the olive grove surrounding the villa, visiting Iznajar and its beautiful lake, as well as drove to Granada, Cordoba and even Ronda. We had some brief runs up the hill and (via GPS) found out that the villa was really over 780 metres above sea level. The climbs will reward you with great views and great selfies too! We really wished that we could have stayed longer. But alas we had to return to Malaysia after 9 well spent days at this abode. Whether you want to make the villa base to explore the Andalusian region, or just laze around exploring the serene olive groves or the quaint Iznajar town, La Vesanilla is the perfect place for you and your family for all seasons... "Ninguna persona de habla hispana ha puesto todavía comentarios sobre la casa, por lo que me he animado a valorar la casa para que sirva de ayuda a otras personas. La casa simplemente es perfecta. Vistas inmejorables y equipada a la perfección. Hay que ir con coche y quizás deberían marcar la posición GPS de la casa para llegar perfectamente. Es una casa para desconectar, relajarse, hacer buenas barbacoas, darse unos baños en la piscina si el tiempo lo permite (a nosotros nos ha llovido bastante en S. Santa), darse buenas caminatas por el monte, jugar al ping-pong..Sin más, recomiendo la casa 100%"

Très bonne prestation

Nous avons passé de bonnes vacances dans la maison de Carlos malgré le temps incertain. Tout d'abord, nous avons été parfaitement accueillis. Carlos est très disponible, réactif et très sympathique. C'était très agréable. Un très bon rapport qualité prix. Merci.

Magnifique séjour

Nous avons passé de magnifiques vacances dans cette superbe villa. Elle est très bien équipée, très propre, au calme et avec une vue splendide ! La piscine est très agréable et sécurisée. Juan Carlos et sa femme sont des personnes adorables et très soucieuses du bien être de leurs hôtes. Nous vous recommandons vivement cette location.

Nací en iznajar quizás uno de los pueblos mas bonitos de Andalucía, trabajo como oficial de 1A en la construcción y también como agricultor, me gusta el deporte y en especial la natación.

El lugar es una maravilla, cuando nuestros clientes llegan todos quedan sorprendidos de la belleza del sitio y la casa.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Esta casa esta aislada de otras construcciones, en ella encontraran absoluta tranquilidad. Situada muy céntrica para visitar las ciudades mas importantes de Andalucía como Córdoba, Granada, Málaga y Sevilla, en la subbética Cordobesa centro geográfico. De construcción rustica con unas vistas impresionantes que enamoran a todo aquel que la visita, y sobre todo muy relajante.
