Beautiful villa near Rome

We had a wonderful week. Our host (Roberta) took great care of us and made every effort to ensure our stay very enjoyable. She also cooked us a wonderful meal. The house was spacious and had beautiful garden fantastic views and a well tended infinity pool. Location was secluded but with close proximity to the towns on Lake Braciano and rail services to central Rome

A magical place !

Roberta's Cottage is a lovely place to stay, me and my family really enjoy our week, you have so much to do and enjoy. We loved to visit the lovely Italian villages around but also 30 min away from Rome, you have everything! The house has a charm to it, the boys enjoyed the swimming pool. I also have to say Roberta is very kind and will make you feel very welcome. Thank you so much for making our holiday so special. We hope to come back one day!!!

This is a stunning chalet really close to Rome.

An incredible place that is so close to Rome but yet we were in a very peaceful and beautiful place where we were able to relax and enjoy the spectacular view. The host Roberta was incredible and very welcoming, she baked us homemade cookies that were really good. The house is gorgeous and very big. The part of the house we stayed in had three floors which accommodated my family of 5 very comfortably. It seemed that we were in a Swiss chalet yet we were really close to Rome. The property is located in a private property and is very safe with a couple of safety gates to go through. Once you arrive you are mesmerized by the house and the location. It is absolutely one of the best places I have been in a while.

THE GREAT EXPERIENCE

I come in Italy with a group of 5 friends for passing my relax holidays into "Cottage Roberta". With great surprise we have found the top of the location that i could choose. We were really satisfied for The House that is really Curated with all the comforts like Beds really comfortable, open spaces, a wonderful garden for an enjoyable eating ... But the the top is represented by the "Infinity” Pool with View of Latium hills (Not for that, Roberta says that the location is often choosed by famous film director like Pavarotti International FILM ecc..) A particular note for Roberta, the owner, for her delicious hot cakes for Breakfast. Thanks for our experience, really relaxed, top ospitality and maybe next year we can re-coming. TOP HOLIDAY NEAR ROME!!!

The view is lovely !! Very good pictures but do not make the reality of the location. We are in the heart of the 2 Lakes Park (BRACCIANO AND MARTIGNANO) and dell'Eteruria heart. The cottage is very original, spacious and comfortable. Typical Nordic structure in the Lazio countryside near Rome. and it consists of large open-SPACE lounge with a large fireplace that dominates the living room, 4 double bedrooms with 3 bathrooms, laundry. Two terraces with a charming view of the hills of Lazio, courtyard, garden. Just 5 minutes from Lake Trevignano Romano, all 'inside of a private park. The house is partly surrounded by mature trees, with a large flower garden completely immersed in the Roman countryside. The house is well-kept garden and furnished with special care and full of details selected by the owner with a magnificent view of the surrounding hills. The house is surrounded by nature and silence. The central location between the cities of Lazio and lakes makes it an ideal base to visit all the major sites of the Lazio, Rome, Lake Bracciano, Sutri Viterbo, Bagnaia, Tarquinia, Caprarola, Lake Vico, Cervetri, etc .. not to be missed! ! Italian Idyll!

Roberta's cottage gave us a warm welcome right from the start. We spent many hours at the outdoor dining area which was just steps away from a large fridge freezer where we stored our drinks. There was also a fridge in the kitchen. The accommodation was fabulous with everything we could want. Downstairs is a very large sitting/dining room with a large 'kitchen corner'. Also on this ground floor was a huge double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. On the next floor were two large double bedrooms and a bathroom with a bath and shower over it (one of these bedrooms is on the large landing, so not very private, but it does have direct access to a large terrace). On the top floor are two smaller doubles and a small shower room. All the beds were extremely comfy. There is a washing machine and iron in the laundry room used by Roberta. Roberta and her son Ivan were brilliant hosts (they live in a smaller house in the grounds) and we really appreciated the cake and jam tarts on arrival and the fresh tomatoes, courgettes, potatoes and hen eggs etc during the week. We all enjoyed the house immensely and were sad to leave! We cannot recommend it highly enough, and given that Lake Bracciano is a reservoir for Rome the 3 villages and their beaches are very clean and not overdeveloped. Thank You Roberta for a very special family holiday Liz and the Gang!!

Great Location but.....

This really is a charming rural cottage exactly as pictured in a beautiful area. We are 2 couples that were wanting some quiet and relaxation after 12 days of lots of tourist and too much to eat! Roberta's home did not disappoint at all but I do need to mention that if it is privacy you hope for this may not be the place for you. I really don't want to be negative but for myself I really depend on the accuracy of these reviews. I am sure that the owner just wanted to be friendly but after telling her multiple times we appreciated the offer but really didn't want her to cook for us we just wanted to be left to ourselves she never really understood and kept pressing the issue. The last night she walked in the house about 8:00 and turned on our oven saying she needed to use it to cook her dinner which was pretty strange to us. Perhaps it was our lack of Italian. She was as our doorstep or in the house, multiple times a day. Coming in when we were gone and "taking care of things" in the house. She was "hovering" the whole time. For many this would be just fine I am sure, just not for us. Last there were some "add on" prices that again may be the Italian way but they were a surprise. She didn't want us to lay on the lounge chair cushions without a pool towels because they would get dirty. We were then charged for 4 pool towels" Any extras like bath soap, dishwasher soap and coffee filters she told us to buy at the store which was tough as we were only there for 3 days. On the second night we were sitting by the pool around 9:00 very quietly watching the sunset and the lights below and were asked to move so she could water the garden.......again, not very peaceful. Again, the cottage great, all the chickens, geese and Rolly the dog fun and charming if only we had been left to ourselves. I hope to not upset Roberta here as I said perhaps some language issues as so many other great reviews but just truthfully relating our experience.

A charming cottage with a stunning view

We had a lovely 4 night stay at Roberta's cottage. The first thing you notice when you arrive is the stunning view down into the valley, you could look at it for hours. The gardens are a little oasis in the Roman hills, its very peaceful and serene. The location is great, its a 10 minute drive down into town with lots of restaurants around the lake, 15 minutes to the nearest golf course, and 15 to the beaches/beach clubs on the lake. Roberta was an excellent host, she helped book us two very good meals, one at Acquarella which we'd highly recommend. Overall we had a lovely relaxing time and would definitely visit again if we're in the area.

Aspectos negativos: Limpieza, llegada, comunicación y precisión del anuncio

Het is het geld niet waard.

Hier zomaar een lijstje van dingen die niet door de beugel konden: Koelkast werkte slecht en werd niet koud. We moesten iedere avond maar wat drinken in de vriezer leggen en dan ging het wel. Geen airco op alle kamers terwijl dit wel zo werd aangegeven op de website tijdens het boeken. De twee airco’s die we wél hadden moesten uit blijven ivm brandveiligheid. Foto’s online zijn veel rooskleuriger dan het huis in werkelijkheid is. Zo zitten bijvoorbeeld de kamers aan elkaar vast met een schuifdeurtje er tussen. Er is dus geen privacy. Het gebrek aan privacy wordt nog eens versterkt door de eigenaresse die naast het huis een eigen huisje heeft. Ze is er dus de hele dag bij en je komt haar meerdere keren tegen. Sterker nog, als je weggaat om uit eten te gaan dan gaat ze het huis in om “ de bloemen water te geven. “ (lees; om de airco uit te zetten) Er is al jaren geen onderhoud aan het huis gepleegd. Er is drie jaar geleden brand geweest en daar waren nog steeds sporen van te zien. Je zou denken dat je daarna zorgvuldig je huis opknapt en zorgt dat het op zijn minst brandveilig is. Echter is het huis nog steeds brandgevaarlijk door de manier waarop de elektra is geïnstalleerd. Dit wordt van tevoren niet gecommuniceerd als je het huis boekt voor duizenden euro’s. We hadden nota bene een kindje bij ons. Nu zou je denken dat bovenstaande al genoeg informatie is om het huis niet te boeken. Er is nog 1 ding erger dan al het bovenstaande. Het huis ligt op een prachtige locatie op een berg in een bosrijk gebied. Het probleem is dat als je daar iedere dag je gras sproeit en je er een zwembad aanlegt álle insecten uit dat hele gebied daar natuurlijk op af komen. Overdag waren er zo ontelbaar veel wespen bij het zwembad dat we er onmogelijk in konden zwemmen op een ontspannen manier. Vaak was het een duik en zo snel mogelijk weer eruit om niet gestoken te worden. Zoiets behoor je aan te geven op je website zodat mensen het wéten. Zoveel geld betaald voor een huis dat we niet kregen. Daarnaast bij aankomst nog honderden euro’s extra moeten betalen voor schoonmaak kosten en een kinderbedje dat maar op 1 kamer kan staan en daardoor ons hindert in onze kamerindeling. De eigenaresse praat slecht Engels en nog slechter als dat haar beter uitkomt. Communicatie is hierdoor zeer moeizaam. Als je uiteindelijk van pure ellende, maar onder de douche gaat staan dan kom je erachter dat je maximaal 10 minuten warm water hebt.

Paradise in the perfect location

Roberta's cottage and magical property exceeded our expectations on every front. We booked without much knowledge of the area, mostly based on so many 5 star reviews. The location is perfect for anyone who wants a vacation that combines city, country, and ocean. It's one hour to Rome, one hour to incredible beaches, and surrounded by ancient villages. Then, of course, the towns of Bracciano and Trevignano Romano and all that the lake has to offer. I can't recommend this location highly enough. Roberta's property including the pool, gardens, and incredible views is a relaxing oasis to return to after a day in Rome. The cottage is comfortable and clean, and she provides everything you need for a great stay. I also recommend her delicious Italian breakfasts which she will provide upon request. The pool is perfect for young children as there is no deep end. It is unheated which we preferred in the heat of Summer and Fall. My kids loved the geese who wander the property in the evenings, and the swings and hammock. Roberta stays on the property in a neighboring cottage and is always available to answer questions or offer advice on local adventures or restaurants. She takes hospitality very seriously and prides herself in being a warm, welcoming host, paying attention to every detail of your stay. She is a big part of why we loved our trip and we hope to return to stay with her again next year!

Un paradiso terrestre.

Cottage Roberta casa vacanza 62584 Questa casa vacanza è veramente incantevole. Sembra di stare immersa in una favola. Un posto ideale sia per una vacanza romantica che per una vacanza in famiglia. I ragazzi si divertiranno a giocare con il cane Rolly. Simpaticissimo, o a guardare le oche e i loro piccoli. La piscina e la casa godono di un panorama fantastico della vallata e il lago di Bracciano che dista poco dalla casa è ottimo per godere delle serate al ristorante o semplicemente per fare una bella passeggiata. La casa è pulitissima, ben curata e con un giardino con prato inglese che sembra magica. Non ci sono parole per dire quanto mi sono rilassata in questo cottage, una vacanza ideale lontano dai rumori della città. Una pace e una tranquillità incomparabile. Ci tornerò volentieri magari con degli amici durante l’estate per godere di nuovo questo posto meraviglioso. Consiglio a chi ha bisogno di rilassarsi di recarsi in questo posto idillico. La proprietaria è molto gentile e disponibile e consiglia anche dei posti d’interesse da visitare nelle vicinanze. Cucina anche benissimo e mi ha fatto trovare delle delizie pronte la sera del mio arrivo. Ottima accoglienza.

A unique house in beautiful surroundings with a very friendly host.

We were two families with small children who stayed for 3 weeks in september. The house is spacious and truly one of a kind. The pool is big enough and the view is breathtaking. The location is a couple of km away from Trevignano Romano but its easily accessible by car, as is Bracciano and Anguillara. All in all we found it to be a perfect location to explore the surroundings, inclunding Rome and the west coast. Roberta and her son Ivan are very accomodating and everything is kept clean and organized. We were also given excellent advice regarding places to go, where to eat etc. The kids loved Roberta and quickly develeoped a taste for her cakes and cookies. I'd highly recommend Robertas cottage if you're staying in the area

Beautiful views, fabulous pool in gorgeously green garden

We had a wonderful holiday, the pool and garden are very beautiful and the views are stunning. The area is very peaceful. With two adults and four children (ages 7-11) we needed plenty of inside space, the layout worked perfectly for us. Stairs are quite steep so perhaps not great for younger kids. The master bedroom on the ground floor is very large with good views over the garden. The owner is very helpful and friendly, and on hand for any issues as she stays in the house at the side of the garden. Very peaceful area, you do need a car though as there aren’t any shops/restaurants without walking distance. The lake is beautiful and there are lots of good restaurants a short drive away.

Ambiente molto curato. Caretteristico il cottage. Stanze ben pulite e ordinate. Si puo godere di tutti i confort. Bellissimo il salone dove si trova un grande camino. All'esterno un bel giardino curato e una bella piscina per l estate. Otima la colazione servita dalla Signora Roberta,la proprietaria. Ci tornerò sicuramente.

Cottage Roberta

A wonderful welcome met us with a tour around this beautifully presented, spacious chalet. 5 kingsize bedrooms all with ensures - two on the top floor with a balcony view, the middle floor had another large balcony and the largest room was on the ground floor - a bonus for me due to a knee injury. There is a laundry room and a fully kitted out kitchen with plenty of fridge/freezer space. The pool is tranquil and perfect to cool off in after sunbathing in the pretty garden. The garden faces the east, so he majority of the sun is in the morning. The sunrise is awe inspiring. Roberta's cooking is delicious - her lasagne was a complete hit with my daughters and she even catered for my tomato allergy cooking me a separate, special lasagne! She surprised us with gorgeous baked treats and delicious fruit from her garden. A wonderful hostess - her house is alongside the property, so she is on hand if you need her, but not encroaching on your privacy. She advised us as to the best way to get to Rome - the train was only around 11 Euros for 7 of us! A wonderful holiday which we will never forget.

Sprookjes bestaan!

Op de dag van aankomst werden wij zeer hartelijk ontvangen door Roberta en haar zoon Ivan. Roberta had cake en bramenvlaai gemaakt en 3 potten overheerlijke bramenjam. We kregen een rondleiding door de prachtige cottage. De benedenverdieping heeft een zeer ruime woonkamer met een grote tafel met 8 stoelen en een open keuken (met vaatwasser, kookplaat en koelkast) en heeft een kookschiereiland met 4 barkrukken. Verder is er een slaapkamer met badkamer, een bijkeuken met een extra koelkast en diepvries en een wasruimte met wasmachine en strijkplank. Over de slaapkamers: zelf kozen we de (mooiste) kamer op de begane grond. Deze is zeer ruim, heeft airco en een badkamer met toilet, douche en wastafel. Op de eerste verdieping zijn 2 ruime slaapkamers met elk een tweepersoonsbed. De ene slaapkamer heeft airco maar als je de deur openzet, wordt ook de andere slaapkamer koud. Op de verdieping is verder nog een badkamer met wastafel, toilet en bad en een mooi balkon waar je op kunt zitten en genieten van het prachtige uitzicht. Op de zolderetage zijn nog 2 kleinere slaapkamers met elk een tweepersoonsbed. Ook deze etage heeft een (kleine) badkamer met wastafel, douche en toilet, er is geen airco. De tuin rondom de cottage is werkelijk prachtig: op de eerste plaats is er het zwembad (van ongeveer 10 bij 5 meter) waarin je heerlijk kunt afkoelen en van waaruit je een prachtig uitzicht hebt op de vallei. Het water wordt dagelijks schoongemaakt door Ivan en het bad is 's avonds mooi verlicht (je mag zelf een kleur kiezen: blauw, groen of rood). Doordat het gras 2x per dag gesproeid wordt, is het erg mooi groen. In de tuin staan verder veel bloeiende planten, agaves en palmen. Er hangen 2 schommels en er staan 6 ligbedden waarop je heerlijk kunt zonnen. Aan de zijkant van de cottage staat een partytent met daaronder een grote tafel met 8 stoelen. Aanrader: sta 's morgens vroeg op om de prachtige zonsopgang te zien! Roberta heeft 2x voor ons gekookt. We mochten haar geweldige lasagne proeven en ook de eigengemaakte fettucine met heerlijke salade caprese en als klap op de vuurpijl tiramisu met eieren van de eigen kippen. De kippen zijn niet de enige dieren: Roberta heeft ook ganzen en een erg lieve hond Rolly (waar je geen 'last' van hebt als je niet van honden houdt). Roberta heeft ons erg verwend tijdens ons verblijf. Wij genoten van haar enthousiasme en van haar lekkere eten. Cottage Roberta: sprookjes bestaan!

Schönes, sauberes, gut ausgestattetes Haus, gepflegter Garten mit Pool. Nette Vermieterin mit am Grundstück. Auf Wunsch wird man mit typischer ital. Küche verwöhnt. Es blieben kaum Wünsche offen!

Top holiday!! magice sfeer vanuit het zwembad

Top Holiday summerhouse!!!! Een fantastisch huis met een top uitzicht!! Vanuit het zwembad is het echt genieten!! Wij hebben hier echt een super tijd gehad lekker relaxt, je komt op deze mooie plek echt tot rust. Roberta is een super gastvrouw die je graag de leuke plekjes van de omgeving verteld, en we hebben zeker genoten van haar heerlijke kookkunst!!
