The house was very big and able accommodate many people. We were able to have people stop by and be there to pay respects to our mom who passed way a couple weeks prior. The house desperately needs to be cleaned. There was a thick layer of dust on the furniture, lamps, baseboards etc. the bathrooms could have used a better cleaning and there was no shampoo and the bath soap was used. The beds are hard and the pillows flat. There is considerable water damage throughout the house. You can see water damage in the corners of all the rooms and the seams in the ceilings. There was a balloon of water in the great room that looked as if it would burst over the pool table at any time. The pool table was a hit with the kids but the bar itself was unusable as was the wine fridge in the kitchen. Luckily it was cold so we could put drinks outside. With some updates and a good cleaning this place would be worth the money

Great home and spacious But...

Location was perfect Love the kit and the bar room. Toilet on second floor was broken but they were quick to send someone out to fix. The hot tub was dirty with a leak which they did tell us about prior but the one person who did use it got sick. Mgr was very responsive

Big House, Lots of Amenities, Needs some Sprucing-Up

Big House with lots of amenities and able to handle two large families. Nice game room with Ping Pong Table, Air Hockey, and other games. Big Bar/Living Room area with Pool Table and fireplace was great gathering spot in the evening. Fully stocked kitchen with huge table that fit 2 families. Was stocked with all the essentials including kitchen items, condiments, firewood, paper goods, towels, linens, etc. Had a crib and high-chair which was helpful. However, overall house was a bit "run down". I know a big ski house gets a lot of wear/tear, but the furniture and carpeting was fairly worn down and in need of updating/replacement. Some area rugs were tattered, sofa was faded and cushions worn/soft. Many pieces of furniture were scratched/banged-up. Some of the blankets/linens were yellowing and a few had stains. Water pressure was low (I know its a well-water house), and hot tub, although huge, had dark hard-water stains in many places from the iron in the well-water which although it was safe, made it a bit "uninviting" and some of the guests didn't want to use it. Ceilings in several rooms had peeling sheetrock tape and one bedroom had a small leak from a snowfall overnight. The electronic door lock did not always work. A few minor maintenance issues were handled by a handyman that came over quickly, and the driveway was plowed/cleared after a snowstorm. So, overall nice big ski house, but in need of some better maintenance, furnishings, and general sprucing-up.

Awesome big house

Had an awesome stay here, the house was perfect for what we needed. Tons of space to hang out, we enjoyed the TVs, the dining table fit all 16 of us, and the hot tub was outstanding. Also loved being able to use the fireplace and the drive to mount snow was super quick and easy.

Christmas family gathering

We wanted a quiet getaway to just spend time with family for Christmas. This Mt Snow house was perfect! Plenty of room for the 15 of us, with close proximity to Mt Snow for skiing. The Great Room off the game room was perfect to just relax and enjoy each other . The dining room table could hold the whole family. It was quiet and relaxing, and the hot tub was perfect after a day in the snow.

Great Weekend Getaway

We traveled to Don and Rakell's property in the Mt. Snow area in July 2024. Our group consisted of 18 people (10 adults, 8 children) and two dogs. We all fit comfortably and the house met the needs of the group. There are four private bedrooms and there is an open loft with two double beds that overlooks the big family room. The basement had a double bed and a queen pullout couch. Our group enjoyed the firepit, basement game room, and the big family room which has a pool table and a "sports bar" area. The driveway fits our six cars with no issue. Overall, the house was clean and the kitchen had what we needed (bring extra paper towels and napkins). Do bring your shampoo/soap for the bathroom. Towels, toilet paper, and hand soap are provided. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not working while we were there. Don did have a maintenance person come to fix it a couple of times before we arrived but the problem was a bigger fix than anticipated. Don did reimburse us for that inconvenience. Communication with Don was great, he answered any of our questions and concerns promptly. If in the area again, we would stay again.

April Family Weekend

Our family of 17 enjoyed our stay together in West Dover. The amenities were nice with plenty of room for all of us to spread out. Went into town to the brewery and just outside of town to a distillery and country store. Very relaxing sitting on the front porch on the rockers while the sun came up. Even though it rained all weekend there was plenty to do in and around the property. We all enjoyed the hot tub, fireplace and the game room/pool table, too.

Great family ski vacation

Although the weather did not cooperate and the ski conditions were not terrific, most of us did ski some and we all loved the house. Location was close to the mountain and food markets. The house is larger than we anticipated from the pictures, which provided enough space for all of us to be together for meals and family games after dinner, but also allowed for some alone time when needed. The grandchildren loved the air hockey table and the Pac-Man. The hot tub was also a hit with everyone. And the gym was used to get some exercise when the rain prevented skiing. The kitchen had everything we needed. The host was also very helpful answering questions before we arrived and was extremely responsive when we had a question during our stay.

Fantastic house with great amenities

The house was beautiful and my group really enjoyed the stay. The kitchen was fully stocked and made dinner preparation for the 10 of us easy. The living room with bar, pool table, and fireplace was a great spot for us to hang out and relax at the end of the day after skiing and snowmobiling. The hot tub was just what was needed after a day out on the slopes. We also enjoyed the downstairs "game room" and played ping pong and air hockey a lot. We would definitely come back!

Perfect Getaway

We loved staying at this property. It was spacious, plenty of room for a party of 18. The dining room table even fit everyone! We planned our stay for superbowl and a skiing getaway and it checked off all boxes of what you would need. Would def recommend and stay in the future!

Great Spot for a Long Weekend

The property was exactly as advertised. Plenty of entertainment at the property and the location was great with short drives to golf, breweries, etc. Donald was a great host and was very responsive.

Great Ski House Getaway!!!

We had such a wonderful time at Don and Rakells house. So spacious, great kitchen and dining room. Loved the bar , pool table and comfy living room. Hot tub with the views of snow and woods were great! Don was very accommodating with any and all questions or requests. Our family had a great time here and would definitely love to come back!!!

Great ski house

Don’s house is a great place to stay with a large ski group. The location was perfect, easy to get to town and Mt. Snow, but in a secluded location. We loved the setup of the large bar, multiple televisions, and a pool table in one room. Also having a large indoor hot tub to soak in after skiing was the best. Highly recommend staying here.

Amazing Ski House!

Rented Don’s house for a long ski weekend with a group of 20 friends, and it did not disappoint! It comfortably slept our entire group – the bar area was amazing and the hot tub was perfect! The location was convenient for a quick drive to Mount Snow or a number of breweries. Don went above and beyond and helped us to return a pair of ski boots that were accidentally left behind as well. Highly recommend this place – we will definitely be back!

Excellent Ski House

We had a great time renting the ski house for two night three days with father and sons for our annual ski trip to Mount Snow. The owner Don is very responsive, and we did have a small issue which he took care of immediately. Everyone was very happy and we would rent from Don again.

This house was perfect for our family Christmas!

The Common area, with bar, pool table, big couch and fireplace was amazing! We loved it! We had a room for everyone. And the kitchen area is even better and more spacious than it looks in the photos! Loved the long high dining table. We had 15 for dinner, all together at the table! We loved the hot tub...indoors with windows looking at the snow all around! We loved having ping pong. The mug room works so well to hang your coats and leave your shoes. Very Very comfortable! A wonderful family week!!!

My husband has been skiing Mt. Snow since his college days and always knew some day he wanted to build a house here. As a newly engaged couple we took the plunge and bought the land and then the work begun. This home has deep roots for us as my husband and father in law built this house from scratch. It has been a long work in progress but the end product is this beautiful home that we hope other families will enjoy as much as ours does. It is the perfect home for a large family to fully relax with its spacious lay out and activities for all ages to enjoy. We loved the location of our home as it is close to the mountain (only 5 miles away) and all local restaurants yet far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet.

The neighborhood drew us in right from the start. It is off the main roads and very quiet yet close in proximity to all local attractions, it has the perfect blend we were hoping for.
