La macina es una lujosa granja rodeada de vegetación, con piscina privada, ubicada en un valle hermoso, romántico y desolado formado por Calanchi. La propiedad se encuentra en medio de una finca privada de 50 hectáreas y esta posición asegura la paz y el aislamiento de cualquier ruido. La vista es increíble: laderas, pastos y el maravilloso Valle de Calanchi. Civita di Bagnoregio, el pequeño pueblo histórico y pintoresco más cercano (a 8 km de distancia) es un lugar encantado donde el tiempo parece haberse detenido. La completa ausencia de progreso hace que la atmósfera sea aún más irreal. La macina se encuentra estratégicamente ubicada entre Orvieto y Viterbo, en las fronteras de Lazio, Toscana y Umbría. Puede llegar fácilmente a las antiguas ciudades de la civilización etrusca como Tarquinia. Orvieto (20 km), Viterbo (20 km), Todi, Asís y Perugia también están muy cerca. También puede disfrutar del lago de Bolsena (14 km). Nous avons été accueillis par les hôtes les plus charmants qu’ils soient dans une maison très calme avec une très belle vie et une grande piscine. Tout était impeccable. La maison est une bonne base arrière pour visiter la région d’Orvieto, le nord du Latium, l’ouest de l’Ombrie et le sud de la Toscane. Pour info, il y avait 3 chats (très sympas !). Nous recommandons chaleureusement.

Beautiful, peaceful location with excellent hosts

This house is located beautifully and has everything you need to relax. The kitchen is well equipped, the rooms have closets to organize your luggage and both bathrooms are spacious. Everything is nice and clean in the house and there is enough room to move around with 5 adults.The area is gorgeous. Even from your bedroom window you have an amazing view over the property, which was an idyllic and almost surreal experience. There are lots of great things to do in the area and Beatrice will have some great tips as well. The garden with the private pool (that is cleaned daily!) is amazing and will give you all the peace you need. The greatest thing about this place might actually be the hosts. Beatrice and her family are extremely kind and welcoming. They respect your privacy but are always available to help and when you meet them in the village nearby they will greet you enthousiastically. We've only stayed for two weeks, but felt so welcome and this place felt like a second home. We'll surely return, because this place is fantastic!

Wonderful Stay

A wonderful stay in a beautiful location! The house is great, our young girls had great fun the pool. Beatrice and her family are very generous hosts and were on hand to help with any requests we had. A very special holiday, we look forward to staying again.

Simply the best!

I’ve stayed in many villas and this was one of the best villas I’ve ever stayed in. The hosts have made our holiday magical! The villa itself was really lovely, great well equipped kitchen, lovely bathrooms and excellent washing facilities. The swimming pool was a nice temperature throughout our stay. Thank you to Beatrice and her whole family for a magnificent stay and we shall definitely be back!

Alles wie versprochen. Die Vermieter sind sehr herzlich und haben bei Nachfragen immer gute Tipps gehabt. Das Haus ist wie beschrieben, alles für den Urlaub vorhanden, die Aussicht und Ruhe phänomenal. Der Pool ist großartig. Der Wein der Söhne ist übrigens auch sehr empfehlenswert. Wir haben einen absolut erholsamen Urlaub gehabt, bei Tagen am Pool oder Ausflügen in die Umgebung.

Wonderful vacation home for a family

We stayed for one week in this lovely vacation home. It is very spacious, is very well equipped, and has a very nice garden and swimming pool area, with beautiful views. Beatrice and her husband were very welcoming and attentive, they couldn't have been better hosts! They only drawback was that the weather was very hot (>35 degrees celsius) during our stay, but the house has ample windows with mosquite protection to facilitate cooling during the nights.

Fantastisch verblijf

Heerlijk huis met echt Italiaanse sfeer, fantastisch zwembad met terras om hele dagen bij door te brengen. Prachtige rustige omgeving met leuke mogelijkheden voor uitstapjes (Civitella dÁgliano, Sant'angelo, meer v. Bolsena). Vittorio en Beatrice zijn hartelijk en gastvrij, en hebben ons veel tips gegeven. Echt een aanrader!

Prachtige locatie in rustige omgeving op korte afstand van leuke dorpjes

Prachtige locatie met heerlijk zwembad. Uitzicht op heuvels. Smorgens wordt je wakker met geluid van krekels. Heerlijk koel huis met alle nodige voorzieningen. Sfeervol en in Italiaanse stijl ingericht. Voor gezin van 5 ideaal. Ouders op bovenverdieping met 1 dochter en samen de badkamer. Op benedenverdieping de oudste dochter met vriendje en eigen badkamer. Heerlijk samen gegeten en gezellige avondjes op terras aan grote lange tafel doorgebracht. Restaurant La Quercia op 2 km afstand is aanrader. Beatrice en Vittoria zijn de enorm hartelijke eigenaren van dit prachtige stekkie en maken het verblijf extra bijzonder. Ze wonen in het andere gedeelte van het huis, maar daar merk je weinig van. Je hebt heel veel privacy.. Bedankt lieve beatrice en vittorio.

It's a place of perfect tranquility with the most amazing view

We had an absolute amazing time there! The scenery is mesmerizing and perfect for long walks! It is the perfect place to unwind and just be with the family! What you see on the pictures is what you get, so no complaints there. Beautiful house with an amazing backyard and pool. The house is a bit isolated witch needs getting used to and you need a car. The owners are so welcoming and sweet! Beatrice and her husband came to say goodbye the night before we left and Beatrice even woke up at 5 in the morning to say goodbye before we left for the airport! Overall a good experience and we definitely recommend it to everyone who wants the relax in the country and destress!

Traumhafte 2 Wochen Erholung

Das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Umgebung mit einen phänomenalen Ausblick. Wir waren 4 Erwachsene, ein Kind und ein Hund und hatten genügend Platz. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt und der Pool war die perfekte Abkühlung an den heißen Tagen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie wohnen im Haus nebenan, stören aber einen nicht in der Privatsphäre. Bei Fragen helfen Sie gern weiter und haben auch ein eigenes Restaurant, was sehr zu empfehlen ist. Auch Massagen kann man dort vor Ort buchen. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt und wir werden mit Sicherheit dort noch einmal Urlaub machen.

Perfect setting, perfect hosts!

Beautiful country setting with magnificent views. Perfect location for day trips to Rome, Assisi, Siena and many hill towns. Beatrice and Vittoria were amazing hosts who made sure we were comfortable at LaMacina. They were always available to offer suggestions for local dining as well as site seeing. When one in our party became ill, their compassion and concern truly made us feel like part of their Italian family! La Macina is beautiful, but the real gems of this location are Beatrice and Vitorreo! We hope to return again. Margaret, John, Laura and Jim

Bellissimo

Just like the other reviewers we found La Macina to be the perfect rural holiday location. Lovely, authentic farmhouse and gardens with fantastic views. Very conveniently situated for days out in Bagnoreggio, Orvieto, Bolsena, Montefiascone and Rome to name but a view. Beatrice and Vittorio were so helpful and always on hand to help without ever being in the way. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this apartment to anybody and would gladly return and stay again. la ringrazio molto per una vacanza perfetta

Relaxing stay, lovely pool, great hosts!

We loved our stay in your your house! The house itself is nice and spacious, and offers the most stunning views of the mountains. The pool was a big hit with our whole family (3 kids of 11, 13 and 16) and we really liked the fact that your could always find shade under the gazebo. Vittorio and Beatrice are lovely and warm hosts, always respecting your privacy, but easy to contact if you need them in any way. There are a couple of food shops (closed between 1-4 pm) and one nice restaurant within a couple of kilometers away, The neighboring villages are very quiet, but Bagnoregio with the stunning village at the top of the hill is about 7-8 km away and has a bit more to offer. The house itself was very clean, well-maintained and well-equipped. The only slightly negative thing we felt was that the mattresses were a bit hard. There is no airconditioning in the bedrooms, but with the windows open at night (the windows have mosquito nets), we slept just fine. We highly recommend this property and hope to come back some day!

Very relaxing and wonderful environment

We had an unbelievably relaxing time at this fantastic property, far from the noise and hustle and bustle that seem to rule our lives these days. It was made all the better by the always available but never imposing hosts Vittorio & Beatrice. We spent long periods of time looking at the local bird and wildlife population, always something new to see. Local facilities are a short drive away and the villages and scenery live up to their publicity. We would highly recommend this property if you want a very relaxed vacation.

Alles nahezu Perfekt und ein richtiges Paradies

wir haben das erstmal hier gebucht und waren mit 4 Erwachsenen und einem Hund Gast in diesem schönen Anwesen. Auch wenn das Wetter nicht 100% mitgespielt hat haben wir doch den Aufenthalt und die Umgebung genossen. Sehr positiv haben wir zur Kenntnis genommen das alles in überreichem Bestand vorhanden war und das das Haus sehr sauber war, das kennen wir auch anders aber hier heisst es einziehen und von der ersten Minute wohlfühlen. Beatrice und Vittorio waren angenehme Gastgeber und wir können das Haus nur bestens weiter empfehlen. Lohnende Ausflugsziele sind innerhalb von 30-60 min erreichbar, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten mit Supermarkt gibt es in Bagnoregio (ca 10-15min). Restaurant sind rar gesät wobei wir das Il Ripi&go in Bagnoregio sowie das L'Orchidea in Lubriano empfehlen können

A Hidden Gem

Wow...what a fabulous location. We had never visited this area of Italy before and were truly blown away by the beautiful local scenery. Beatrice & Vittorio grazie Mille, you are fabulous hosts I hope many more families come to your lovely farmhouse, they may all be our friends and family though as we've recommended La Macina to everyone we know. Also I would advise anyone to visit the local restaurant La Quercia, great recommendation from Vittorio. We would love to come back and importantly so would the kids, so hopefully see you again in the future.

relax totale... pace, natura, bellezza

Ad agosto abbiamo deciso di dedicarci una settimana di vacanza lontano dalla città e nella più totale tranquillità. Abbiamo proprio azzeccato scegliendo questo posto. Completamente immersa nel verde e con un panorama fantastico ci siamo proprio goduti il soggiorno. La casa bellissima e la piscina uno spettacolo, completamente privati e tranquilli. I proprietari sono meravigliosi, una cortesia e ospitalità che non si trova spesso... Sempre pronti per qualunque esigenza e assolutamente discreti. I paesini che circondano questo posto sembrano usciti dalle favole.. Bellissimi.. Un posto consigliatissimo se si ama la pace e la tranquillità e perché no anche il divertimento! Alla prossima e grazie ancora!

A perfect week in Italy

We had the most fabulous week. Vittorio and Beatrice were extremely kind, helpful and available when we needed any help. The house was clean and very well maintained and the pool a welcome relief from the heat. From there we explored amazing towns such as Civita and Orvieto (the cathedral a must!), eating pasta in truffle overlooking amazing views in Todi, loved a day trip sightseeing to Rome, enjoyed the summer festival in Montefiascone, wild swimming in the gorges and crater lakes ... amazing! We would definitely recommend this property and hope to return soon.

Alles perfekt!

Bei der Buchung dieses Quartier waren wir unsicher, da es hieß, dass die Besitzer direkt daneben wohnen. Und uns war eine Privatsphäre sehr wichtig. Aufgrund der positiven Bewertungen haben wir uns dennoch für diese Haus entschieden. Und wir haben es nicht bereut. Das Haus bietet jeden Komfort, ist sehr großzügig in der Raumeinteilung, die Aussicht ist ein Wahnsinn und der Pool groß und idyllisch. Die Besitzer Beatrice und Vittorio, die direkt daneben wohnen, nimmt man nicht wahr. Und Sie respektieren zu 100% die Privatsphäre. Wir können dieses Quartier sehr empfehlen und werden uns gerne an diesen Urlaub erinnern.

Ein kleines Paradies

Wir durften als Familie zu dritt 2 Wochen in diesem weitläufigen, fern ab von Touristen, kleinen Paradies genießen. Das Haus ist großzügig und mit allem notwendigen ausgestattet. Die Aussicht und Ruhe sind grandios. Es war alles perfekt und wir haben nichts vermisst. Beatrice und Vittorio waren tolle Gastgeber, die sich liebevoll um Ihre Gäste kümmern. Schade, das 2 Wochen so schnell vorbei sind. Wir können das Haus auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. We were able as a family threesome two weeks in this vast, far away from tourists enjoy a little paradise. The house is spacious and equipped with all necessary. The views and tranquility are terrific. Everything was perfect and we did not miss anything. Beatrice and Vittorio were great hosts who lovingly take care of your guests. Too bad that so quickly are over 2 weeks. We can recommend the house to any event.

tatsächlich die perfekte Ferien-Oase

Es waren 2 sehr schöne Wochen in diesem traumhaften Kleinod. Im Haus u. drumherum viel Platz, wir haben viel gekocht, weil auch die gut eingerichtete Küche dazu einlädt. Alles sehr sauber. Vittorio u. Beatrice hielten sich dezent im Hintergrund, waren aber zur Stelle, wenn man sie brauchte. Man ist umgeben von einer wunderschönen bizarren Landschaft. Ein Ferienhaustraum

Eigentlich müssten wir einen 6. Stern vergeben, um das Haus gerecht zu bewerten. Es ist komfortabel, groß, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und ausgestattet mit allem, was man benötigt. Der Blick ist atemberaubend, der Pool sauber und groß, der Garten wirkt wild, ist aber sehr gepflegt und daher perfekt. Das Beste an diesem Domizil jedoch sind die Vermieter, die die Gäste zurückhaltend, aber ausgesprochen liebevoll betreuen. Wir würden gern noch einmal hier unseren Urlaub verbringen. We should give six stars to this house to show how great it is. It's convenient, big, very clean and equipped tastefully with everything you need. The view is breathtaking, the pool is clean and big, the garden seems wild, but is well looked after and so it's perfect. But the best thing about this house are the owners, who take care for the guests cautiosly, but lovingly. We'd like to stay there another time for holidays!
