Prima vakantie woning, zeer ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. Prachtig groot balkon met uitzicht op zee. We hebben genoten en komen misschien nog een keertje terug

Super lejlighed og fantastisk beliggenhed.

Lejligheden er super dejlig , stor og med en fantastisk beliggenhed. Der er en lækker udsigt fra den meget store terrasse, både ud over havet og til bjergene, samt de omkringliggende bananplantager. Vi boede i lejligheden en måned, og oplevede mange gange at vejret var bedre her end det var andre steder på øen. Madalena do Mar er en lille by med 3 gode restauranter, som alle var åbne i januar. Afstanden til Funchal i bil under 1/2 time. Vi handlede i Calheta (6 min i bil) hvor der er et mindre supermarked, og Ribeira Brava (12 min i bil), hvor der er et stort supermarked. Vi glæder os til at vende tilbage -:)

Mooi appartement met prachtig zeezicht

Hartelijke ontvangst door de eigenaren Nelson en Paula. Het appartement is een royaal penthouse op de derde verdieping met ruim terras en prachtig uitzicht op zee. Voorzieningen aanwezig voor volledige bewoning en van goede kwaliteit. Geen lift, dat was voor ons geen probleem. Tussen het strand met keien en het appartement is een weg, maar die werd in januari 2020 nauwelijks gebruikt. Naast de huisgarage is er ook een riante parkeerplek vlak bij het appartement. Madalena do Mar is een rustig en aangenaam dorp met een paar leuke visrestaurantjes. Kortom een aanrader. Ad en Lucie

Beautiful, clean spacious property in a perfect location.

The property is so much bigger than it looked in the pictures. It is perfectly located on the sunniest side of the island . It is within walking distance to the beach and some lovely restaurants. Really enjoyed our trip to this island.

Apartment was as advertised although some traffic noise.

Flight delayed but this caused no problem, was still met at the apartment. It was clean and well equipped. Wifi worked and there was a computer which was a welcomed bonus. There were three flights of stairs so if you have any mobility issues then bear this in mind as there is no lift. There was parking but it easier to use the large car park directly opposite. One of the electrical connections in the bedroom under the dressing table needed some attention as it seemed loose. Madeleine de Mar, I knew, has a passing through character but a good base for that part of Madeira. Ponta do Sol and Jardim do Mar worth a visit. If you are there to walk then Levada Moinho and Nova worth it although maybe it's a hike to the Church, I had a car. They have now put in steps to link both so if you don't want to go up then do Nova first. Btw plenty of info available in apartment which gets a worthwhile mention. I am both seasoned visitor to Madeira and have used Homeaway several times, since I am travelling around the globe I intend to use Homeaway and indeed its main competitor when I can, the point being that this apartment deserves a good review.

Charming

This charming top floor apartment was very well equipped, spotlessly clean, and had everything you could possibly need, very useful car parking under the apartment block with automatic gates in and out. Lots of useful information and guides, and a wonderful very extensive balcony with seats, a lounger and outside table and chairs to enjoy the sun and was very private. There are two restaurants within very short walking distance of the apartment, ....we never found a little shop or mercado in the village but a short ride in one direction is a pingo doce supermarket and in the other direction an excellent grocery/ cafe at the garage on the roundabout with lots of parking, you could buy everything you need there. Just one comment, the apartment is on the top floor , three floors up, there is no lift, for anyone fit or under 70 no problem at all, we are both seventy plus and found the stairs hard going!! but it was worth the climb. A lovely apartment and Paula and Nelson were there to meet us and we're very welcoming.

THE PERFECT LOCATION !!!

This was a fantastic holiday ( more,than 3 weeks ) in January for our couple with a small toy-terrier dog.The apartment is outstanding in terms of location,view and content.This penthouse is large enough,clean,well-kept and more importantly it has really breath taking ocean view ! The promenade and small beach is just downstairs.Good fish restaurant is about 50 m. away. Madalena do Mar is a pleasant place and walking along the coast is a pleasure. Also this is an excellent starting point to explore the island.The apartment has it,s own parking place with an automatic gates under the resident building. Nevertheless, it,s not necessary to use it,because there is a huge free parking just opposite your beautiful non-dimensional terrace. We have seen many holiday villas and apartments ( 8 times have visited wonderful Madeira ) and can highly recommend it ! If you are hesitating - just look at the calendar of the accommodation of this penthouse... The owners Nelson and Paula were extremely helpful.They even have provided the new special dog-bed ( perfect size ) and two basins for eating and drinking water for our well travelled dog ! P.S. Our dog was happy ! In conclusion: if you like the seaside and wish to enjoy it from a privileged position,while being a short distance from everywhere,this is your choise !!! Highly recommended !!! Moscow.

Tolle Wohnung - aber nicht ruhig gelegen

Dies war eine der schönsten Wohnungen,die wir je hatten - toll ausgestattet (u.a. Stereoanlage und großer Fernseher, sehr schnelles WLAN), sehr geräumig, sehr sauber, schön eingerichtet und eine großartige Terrasse mit Sonnenuntergang direkt am Meer. Wenn nur leider die Durchgangsstraße nicht wäre, die direkt am Haus vorbeiführt und die man leider auch im Dachgeschoss sehr stark hört. Eine Oase habe ich mir anders vorgestellt. Bei geschlossenen Fenstern kann man im Schlafzimmer gut schlafen, zumal es zwischen ca. Mitternacht und 7h recht ruhig wird. Tagsüber relaxen auf der Terrasse oder bei offener Tür geht aber nur, wenn einen der Autolärm nicht stört. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder, aber erst wenn der Umgehungstunnel in Betrieb genommen wird.

Nous venons de rentrer d'un très beau séjour de Madère, 10 jours chez Neslon dans un appartement lumineux, spacieux, très équipé pour faire la cuisine et surtout doté d'une magnifique terrasse avec vue sur la mer et la montagne; accès en 2min à pied d'une petite promenade de bord de mer avec des équipements sportifs .Le hall , qui donne sur une grande bananeraie, offre aussi une superbe vue!situé idéalement à 25 min de Funchal et 25 min des ballades en montagne, c'était parfait! spéciale dédicasse au petit restau familial dans le village Praia restaurant sur les conseils avisés de Nelson! retour difficile en France sous la pluie pour nous!!!

A Great Apartment

Thank you Nelson and Paula we had a great stay at your apartment and really felt like we were in Paradise! The apartment was clean, well equipped, and so close to everything that we wanted. We swam in your beach, ate at the restaurant that you suggested,and it was tremendous, walked the promenade and enjoyed touring the island from this choice location. We had a super time. Es tal cual se ve, tienes todo lo necesario y esta muy pensado para la comodidad de quien lo habita,es un poco como estar en casa.... manteles para la mesa musica , ordenador, en fin muy comodo, , si volvemos a Madeira (que seguro que si )intentaremos volver a alquilar vuestro piso. This roof flat was just great. Modern, clean and spacious. All epuipment up to date. A beautiful terrrace where we spend a lot of time watching lovely sunsets, the surrounding mountains, paragliders or just enjoying the afternoon and evening sun.. We loved this apartment. Christmas and New Year's Holidays

We have spent 14 days holidays on this wonderful apartment. Excellent balcony with plenty of sunshine, close to the beach with plenty of free parking nearby. Lovely sea and mountain view. This apartment offers the oportunity to relax on your holiday and to taste your wine on the balcony with plenty of sun. The apartment has everything according to the description with everything you need for your holidays. On arrival a warm welcome was awaiting us by the proprietary of the apartment. He was available to be contacted for anything we needed. This apartment is highly recommended for holidaymakers and its proprietary is very nice. It was a 5 star holiday. Perfect!

The appartment is perfect, clean and spacious. On a very nice location, superb view, sunsets included. The location is very good to explore Madeira, we had sun every day, wich wasn't the case on the rest of the island. The owner is very helpfull and hospitalous. This is one of the places we could come back. (1 minor detail coffee machine is absent).

"nous avons adores cet appartement. super accueil de Nelson, l appartement est grand, lumineux, vue superbe sur la mer juste en face, belle terrasse avec barbecue a charbon, le top le soir au coucher du soleil. nous avons 3 petits enfants, la plage est a 5min a pied, petite bande de sable noir, super joli et acces eau facile. tres beau coucher soleil. appart top equipement. ya tout... a recommender vivement..."

"appartement spacieux, avec magnifique et grande terrasse au niveau du toit donnant une vue sur la mer, la montagne et les plantations de bananes des alentours. Il est encore mieux que ce qu''on peut voir sur les photos. Facilement reconnaissable depuis la route grâce aux photos mises en ligne. Propreté irréprochable. Rien ne manque dans l''équipement, que ce soit au niveau de l''électroménager, du matériel informatique (ordinateur de bureau avec internet gratuit ), de la cuisine..bref il y a tout !!! Le propriétaire Nelson est très sympathique et très disponible. Il met à gratuitement à disposition en plus de tout ce qu''il y a déjà un vélo et le garage. Le village se situe à 10 min en voiture de Ponta do Sol ou Calheta où l''on peut faire les courses. Louer une voiture est quasiment indispensable sur l''île si l''on veut être indépendant (aéroport à 50 min, Funchal à 40 min) 3 restaurants (dont un que nous avons essayé et adoré) se trouvent tout près. Madalena do Mar bénéficie de températures très agréables : nous y étions en février et il y faisait 16°C en moyenne jusqu''à 20°C parfois. On s''endort avec le bruit des vagues. Que dire de plus ?? rien..ah oui !! vous pouvez foncer les yeux fermés, vous ne serez pas déçus (peut être par le matelas un peu dur pour le dos)"

"Best regards to the owner.Everything was perfect. The apartment is better than on photos.Location is superb,with the amazing sea vew from solarium .This apartment is fully equiped,we even used a washing mashine.If you will choose this accomodaton,you will have no need in something to buy temporary.In December the location on the south of Madeira is very important,that''s why we choosed Madalena do Mar.You can find a lot of paragliders near the close cliff everyday(as seen on photo)."
