Home away from home!

Super comfortable, well supplied, great location, access to tons of amenities, perfect for pets! Absolutely loved it! Spending the holidays here was a nice treat!

Modern Retreat in the Desert in Oro Valley

Overall there are more Pros than Cons about this VRBO. PROs: Quiet location, clean; has everything one needs for cooking; enjoyed walking our dogs in the neighborhood & nearby paths; shower in master BR was great; large walk-in master BR closet; TV worked well; owner left clickers to access entrance gate & unit garage door. CONS: Only 2: (1) backyard is fenced/walled on only 2 sides, thus must pay attention when dogs are out that they don't stray into neighbours yard; (2) 2nd bedroom only has a pull out couch/double bed, which was a bit cumbersome to make up (thank goodness there was directions). Mattress for pullout bed was OK, but low & not as comfortable for sleeping in a real bed; also, there was no bedside table in the 2nd bedroom. This explains why I gave this house only a 4/5 rating.

Outstanding Oro Valley

Centrally located near hiking, restaurants, shops and city of Tucson. Clean and comfortable. The east facing views of Mt. Lemmon are spectacular. The condo is well equipped. The owner responded quickly to concerns. The community is friendly with plenty of activities. Come and relax.

A bit of heaven

Suzanne was wonderful hostess attentive to making our stay perfect. Incl new water filter for fridge and replace light on stove. The home was bigger than pictures looked and patio with propane grill perfect. And we grilled a lot. The property backs to the best kept neighborhood walking trail and close to so many things. Beds comphy. The pool and library were great and you walk the neighborhood and everyone is so friendly. I did not want to leave but we have already reserved next year! Thank you Suzanne 💝

Highly Recommend.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 months (Jul, Aug, Sep), while waiting for construction of our new home to be completed. Everything was very comfortable and the location was convenient to nearby shopping and recreation. One especially nice feature of this particular property is the quiet back yard area. Would highly recommend.

Perfect location, home-like property

I cannot say enough good about this rental! -communication with owner was excellent -location made us feel safe. -fantastic patio with path in the back to watch all the dogs on leashes and in strollers. Loved the parade of Javelinas too! -villa has nice decorative touches like fun soap dispensers, thirsty towels and cozy blankets. -neighbors were friendly. -many fun paths to discover and trails to bike on. -walking distance to Honeybee Canyon and petroglyphs! Will stay here again!

Potential Renter Beware

Renters beware: Owner is not forthcoming in her advertisement. When renting the property, I specifically asked if the property was pet friendly and the response was “yes” Based on her picture of the property’s patio, one is led to believe that there is an enclosed yard. What she failed to list is that the patio is only enclosed on two sides and one is open to all the other neighbors yards with easy access to street from the yards themselves. I have two small dogs that were staying with me at this property and for their well being, I could not have them running all over the neighbor’s yards and into the street. Rather than making an issue of this, I placed a small metal dog fence across the yard. Two weeks into my tenancy, I was informed via text by the property owner that the HOA was demanding that the barrier be removed immediately or face a fine. I asked the owner to address the barrier issue with the HOA and she told me to contact the HOA myself. I left the property early because of the safety of my pets and the inconvenience of not having a fenced in yard. The owner refused to make any financial compensation for me having to leave the property early. For the most part, the property was clean. The cable is limited and full instructions for using it is not provided. The property is dark and has poor lighting which is compounded by burnt out ceiling lights. There are constant loud appliance noises that make it uncomfortable to be in the home, especially at night to sleep. Both the bed and sleeper sofa mattress is hard and very uncomfortable. HOA rules that are pertinent to your stay are not provided ahead of time. The owner is indifferent about all matters brought to her attention as well as slow at addressing concerns. Her excuse being that she never receives the message. In addressing pertinent issues, the owner is bad-mannered and unwilling to take responsibility in resolving them in an equitable manner.

A month in Oro Valley in Dec

The property was exactly as shown on Homeaway. It was clean, it had everything we needed, linen, towels, kitchen ware, even Rubbermaid storage boxes. The high ceiling in the family room made it feel even more spacious. The yard was small but adequate (It is after all a 55+ community). We walked our dogs around the gate community and we were welcomed. The keys to gate to the outside park so our dogs could enjoy some grass was great. We had some questions for Suzzane and she answered the next day.

Comfortable and great location

Unit is clean, comfortable and very quiet. Well equiped and stocked. Having a garage is a great advantage. Location is convenient to all Oro Valley retail and businesses. Close to Tucson and the Loop bike paths. Development has 2 pools and clubhouse.

Great location

We had never been to Tucson and really enjoyed staying in Oro Valley. At first we thought it was far from everything, but once we became acquainted with the area discovered the opposite.. The unit was exactly as expected. Very well decorated and clean. The bed was comfortable and the view from the patio wonderful. The neighbors were so welcoming and friendly. Our immediate neighbor to the left gave us lemons from her tree. We were invited to a BBQ at the clubhouse and a Spring lunch. Both were amazing and we were made to feel right at home. We took advantage of the fabulous gym facilities and the pool. All in all a place we would be happy to return to. Thanks Suzanne for a great stay and for being available.

Very clean and comfortable!

My husband and I were very pleased with our stay! Nice patio backyard, quiet neighborhood with a nice pool and jacuzzi. Suzanne is very nice and quick to communicate. She really cared about our comfort during our stay.

Great 2-bed condo with views

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful condo for several months while our home was being built. It is well furnished, very clean, and has a lovely covered back patio with views of the mountains. We enjoyed using the community pool and jacuzzi many times which is just a short walk away. The neighbors are quiet and friendly.

Wonderful stay

We spent a month at this property and enjoyed every minute. The Unit is clean, modern and beautifully decorated. We especially appreciated the clubhouse facilities...two beautiful pools, hot tub, and gym...and used them every day. All the amenities of Oro Valley are close by with great restaurants, shops and golf courses.

worst experience in over 10 years of renting through VRBO

If you are renting this property, make sure every single detail of any agreement is in writing and reviewed by an attorney. The owners walked away from 2 commitments for reasons never explained, one verbally and one in writing. The first was the commitment to giving us an option for the years beyond 2016 made in the meeting agreeing to rent the property that took place in Jan of 2015 based on a earlier email sent to the owners before the meeting that clearly stated that "we are looking for a place to come back to year after year [for those the same 3 months]" and, according to my notes of that meeting, incorporated into the agreement in the Jan meeting. We then found out in December of 2016 through a phone call initiated by us that the property, with no notice to us, had been rented for those months in 2017 and when we expressed frustration that they had done this, expressed surprise "that it should be such an issue with us". When it was clear that it was an issue, there was no explanation, just a denial that there was an agreement and then an apology and then an offer that "we have two other units just as nice [for 2017] which we will be glad to show you - you could take a look at these properties before they are officially on the market" and presumably rent them for 2017 and beyond. And after several written and verbal statements that we would take them up on this offer, they walked away from and did not honor this commitment as well. As for the property itself, it was ok and they did comply with several requests for improvements, but several items needed to be fixed, such as the patio doors that were almost unusable when we left and the spare bed was simply unusable, but it became obvious that it was a waste of time to report items that needed fixing.So we cannot recommend this property or the owners. Bad experience that will not be repeated.

This property had everything needed to make this house your home!

Our recent stay at this lovely destination was perfect for our winter get-away from the snowy climate where we live. Nothing was lacking. Very clean and bright, with east facing yard and spectacular view of the Catalina Mountains! This was our first time to vacation in a home. It exceeded our expectations. Your home had the most equipped kitchen of any place we have stayed. The rest of the house was great, and had everything you needed for a good time. We really did not want to leave and that was the the first time we've ever said that. The location was great, close to the places we wanted to go. Suzanne, the owner was so responsive and easy to work with I highly recommend this house to anyone thinking of going to the Tucson, Oro Valley area. Absolutely loved it and will stay here next time we visit!
