Rodeada de pinos, adelfas, romero y arbusto mediterráneo, Villa Montecristo se encuentra en la costa suroeste de la isla, a 50 metros del mar, cerca de las hermosas playas de Seccheto (3 minutos a pie, solo 150 metros), Cavoli (5 minutos a pie) Fetovaia (cinco minutos en coche).
Villa Montecristo se encuentra a lo largo de la carretera principal: esta ubicación ideal, tan cerca de la playa y del pueblo cercano, implica que, principalmente durante la temporada alta, hay un paso de automóviles, especialmente cuando las personas van y vuelven del mar.

Villa Montecristo es una antigua casa toscana encantadora con una espectacular vista al mar con vistas a las islas de Montecristo y Pianosa, la bahía de Seccheto y la cresta de Fetovaia.
Desde 2017, durante el verano, ofrece una piscina única e impresionante tallada en una antigua cantera de granito, completamente hecha de piedra: ¡su borde infinito te hace sentir como si estuvieras nadando en el mar abierto mientras estás nadando en la piscina!
La villa está lujosamente amueblada con antigüedades, pinturas y grabados; Se caracteriza por un amplio salón con vigas de madera en el techo con escaleras de granito y galería de madera. El amplio jardín tiene áreas sombreadas y soleadas; También hay una terraza cubierta de paja ideal para comer al aire libre. Las habitaciones tienen suelos de baldosas y son amplias y están amuebladas con antigüedades del siglo XIX. Tanto la sala de estar como la cocina tienen puertas que dan al jardín.
¡Durante la primavera y el verano tenemos dos duchas en el jardín (solo agua fría) perfectas para refrescarse después de un largo día en la playa!
El pueblo más cercano es Seccheto, a menos de 5 minutos a pie.

Amazing stay

We had a lovely week in your beautiful house Villa Montecristo. The house is beautifully decorated and has the most well-equipped kitchen that we have ever seen in a rented house. The pool is fantastic overlooking the sea, we really enjoyed many appetizers at the plateau by the pool. There are many private areas to relax both in full sun and in the shade. The house’s private host Daniella was quick to sort things out and it was nice that she lived close by. We will definitely come back one day in the future. Bettina and Jens from Denmark

Stunning villa in great location, perfect for groups

If you consider a holiday on Elba, do consider staying in Villa Montecristo! This ancient, comfortable, wonderfully cozy Tuscan house is located 30 Meters from the sea and the owners have lovingly kept it in perfect condition as their family retreat. It easily accommodates as large a group of friends as ours (we were 14 people), and has all facilities in place to cater for lazy days in the sun or shade as well as the most expansive drinks, dinners and barbecues. Two beaches, some shops and some shops and restaurants are only a minute’s walk away, and will make your holiday life easy. Fiammetta was very forthcoming in briefing us with all we needed to know and do prior to our arrival, and her “ground staff” on the Island, led by Maria, were easy, friendly and uncomplicated in helping us check in and out.

Villa Montecristo a Dream location on Elba

My 50th birthday was to be a special family ocassion and my husband booked Villa Montecristo on Elba as we had 15 in our party arriving from Australia. On arriving at the villa the first impression was of a beautiful Tuscan garden with olive trees citrus beautiful summer flowering trees and a view from the garden over the sea that you always hope will be there as you imagined it when booking. From the front terrace we could see lazy yachts off the coast and below us the best swimming bay on the island. Even though the main road sweeps around the cliff between the villa and the water it adds to the atmosphere as the passing parade is always good to watch from the privacy of the large terrace. A few minutes walk leads to the beach and clear emerald green and blue waters. The local cafe is great spot for breakfast and coffee and the bakery is superb just up the road. There is an excellent seafood restaurant within minutes from the villa and also a pizzeria. The villa itself is beautiful, full of antiques and interesting artefacts relating to Napoleon and his influence on Elba. The rooms of the villa are large and welcoming. There is plenty of room in the house and gardens to find your own quiet spot. With so many people in the villa we also used the dependance - a separate building with two lovely twin rooms overlooking the water complete with full bathroom and equipped kitchen. The owners of Villamontecristo could not have been more helpful and caring in ensuring our holiday was a success. The housekeeper and caretaker were always a text message away and extremely friendly and helpful. The villa was beautifully clean and all linen supplied professionally laundered. For my birthday dinner celebration the owners found a superb chef who came to the house to prepare a stunning Tuscan feast. The villa kitchen is wonderful to cook in for enthusiasts who love to buy the local produce at the market in Marina di Campo 10 minutes away. If you don't have a car the local bus service runs regularly around the island. I dream of returning to Villa Elba and fully recommend a visit. We stayed for 2 weeks and it started to feel like home.

Så fantastiska dagar vi haft det vår storfamilj på 15 personer från 5-14 år med föräldrar och mormor och morfar. Vi har badat, snorklat, sprungit och utforskat ön. En höjdare var de gula korgarna som gick högst upp på berget.

Exquisite Villa in prime location

We used all 17 beds with a friends and family group for one week, it was wonderful with walkable cafe, beaches, pizzeria, minimart. The house is extremely charming and historical with space for groups to spread out on patios and pool with breathtaking views all around. The two little things to consider are that it is really not good for those with any accessibility issues and there is no air conditioning. The summer heat was oppressive for our American guests, despite the fan. Kitchen is great for cooking. Laundry and trash pick up work well. We parked 3 cars easily and 4 will fit. Thank you Villa Montecristo!

Einfach wunderschön

Das Haus ist genauso wie im Inserat beschrieben. Es gibt viele Ebenen im Garten, die mit verschiedenen Sitzgelegenheiten ausgestattet sind. Der Pool ist eine Wucht und die Nähe zum Meer (3 Minuten zu Fuß) ist einfach unschlagbar! Auf der Terrasse ist genug Platz an den beiden großen Tischen, sodass alles zusammen dort Platz zum Essen finden. Die Zimmer sind hübsch eingerichtet - für Erwachsene sind die Einzelbetten etwas klein, gerade für große Menschen. Alles in allem: Wärmste Empfehlung!

Stilvolle, grosszügige Villa in herrlicher Umgebung

Wir haben uns in diesem einzigartigen Haus und im vielfältig gestalteten Garten rundum wohlgefühlt, fanden viele Möglichkeiten um zu entspannen und aktiv zu sein und Raum um einzeln oder zusammen die Tage zu gestalten. Dazu gehören Kocherlebnisse in der gemütlichen Küche, Frühstück in der Morgensonne, gemeinsames Singen im grossen Raum, erfrischendes Bad im Felsenpool und noch vieles „Meer“. Isola d Elba in 16

4 famiglie, ognuna di 4 persone, con bambini che vanno dai 4 agli 8 anni. Non è stato facile trovare u a sistemazione, ma Villa Montecristo rispondeva a tutti i nostri "mai più senza" : piscina, vicinanza a spiagge, servizi minimi, ampi spazi comuni, sistemazioni personali. Ogni famiglia aveva a disposizione 2 stanze e un bagno, compresa nella depandance. Cucina vivibilissima, ampio patio dove mangiare tutti insieme. La piscina uno spettacolo, a sfioro sul mare, vista meravigliosa. Forse un po pericolosa per i bambini, ma nemmeno troppo. Casa Dotata di lavatrice e lavastoviglie. Nel complesso una villa molto bella, dal salone imponente e pieno di oggetti che raccontavano storie e vicende passate, vicinissima a 2 spiagge molto suggestive (Seccheto e Cavoli, raggiungibili a piedi). 1 unica, piccola pecca : pochi fili x stendere (sopratutto se si è in 16).

Herrlicher Aufenthalt im November

Wir waren zu zweit mit Hund in der Villa Montecristo. Wir hatte mit zwar mit schönerem Wetter gerechnet, aber bei Regen konnten wir es uns in der sehr stilvoll eingerichteten Villa gemütlich machen. Uns fehlte es an nichts und der Kontakt zu Fiametta als auch zu Renato waren perfekt. Immer für uns da, wenn wir Fragen hatten. Fazit: nur zu empfehlen. PS Die Straße vor dem Haus hat uns im November überhaupt nicht gestört. Könnte eher im Sommer etwas lauter sein.

Aussergewöhnlich

Außergewöhnliches Haus mit Geschichte, viel Charme und grandiosem Garten/Pool. Die Aussicht über die Bucht von Seccheto ist einzigartig, allerdings sollte man auch bereit sein, eine gewisse Sorgfalt walten zu lassen, da man inmitten toller Antiquitäten wohnt, was jedoch einen Teil des besonderen Ambientes ausmacht. Im Örtchen Secceto befindet sich eigentlich alles, was man für den täglichen Bedarf benötigt. Es gibt eine Bar, zwei kleine Lebensmittelgeschäfte, eine Bäckerei (super leckeres Focaccia!) und für abends eine tolle, sehr sympathische Pizzeria. Wanderungen können ebenfalls direkt vom Haus aus unternommen werden. Obwohl wir Ende Oktober da waren und selbst in den größeren Städten z.T. Restaurants und Geschäfte bereits geschlossen waren, lief das öffentliche Leben in Secceto (sehr angenehm unaufgeregt) weiter.

Villa Montecristo in Secchetto auf Elba

Im Vorfeld haben wir ein paar Fotos begutachten können und haben aufgrund der Grösse, dem Pool und dem Garten die Villa gebucht. Als wir ankamen, waren wir einfach nur überrascht vom ganzen Grundstück, welches sehr gross ist und mit viel Liebe gestaltet wurde. Es gab genug Platz für alle 16 Personen. Sitzplatz umgeben von Bäumen, Blumen, Sitzgelegenheiten, riesengrosser Tisch zum Draussen essen. Das Pool genial mit Blick aufs Meer...Hängematten zum Verweilen etc. Die Küche bietet alles was man braucht.. Mehrere Gaskochplatten usw. Grosses Wohnzimmer, schön eingerichtete Zimmer und Badezimmer auch tiptop. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und einfach genossen. Es hat auch sonst alles geklappt. Ein Kompliment an Fiammetta. Perfekt. Ein solch, schönes Grundstück ist für Naturliebhaber, Romantiker und sonstige Südliebhaber nur zu empfehlen. Grossfamilien Sommerferien Juli 2019

Unser Vater hat meine Schwester und mich mit Familie zu seinem 80igsten Geburtstag in die Villa Montecristo eingeladen. Wir waren 6-7 Erwachsene mit 6 Kindern (10-17 Jahre). Das grosszügige Haus mit Dependance und die grosse Gartenanlage mit den vielen Bäumen war perfekt für uns. Die nähe zum Meer und der traumhafte Pool haben es möglich gemacht das unsere Kinder sich rundum wohl gefühlt haben. Die ältere Generation fand immer ein Schattenplatz in dem wunderschönen Garten wo sie lesen und einspannen konnten - wenn nicht gerade ein Enkelkind, Schwiegersohn oder Freund der Familie sich zu Ihnen setzte um sich mit ihnen zu unterhalten. Leider haben wir nicht so viel von der Insel gesehen, weil es einfach zu schön war in Villa Montecristo!

Underbara Villa Montecristo

Tack för en underbar semester i ert vackra hus Villa Montecristo. För oss i vårt resegäng var det andra gången vi var hos er. Vi är så nöjda med vår vistelse på Elba och vi har gjort många trevliga utflykter på ön. Vilken trevlig pool ni har byggt, det är den finaste pool vi någonsin har sett. Otrolig. Ni har lyckats bygga poolen med stor kärlek till den befintliga natur som ni har på tomten. Så vacker. Vår mesta tid har vi tillbringat uppe vid poolen och det har inte funnits någon anledning att gå ner till havet och ligga och sola vid stranden. Vilken fin utsikt det var från pooolen mot det vackra havet och hela byn. Vårt resegäng har diskuterat mycket om hur det kan vara möjligt att bygga något så vackert, det måste ha varit en duktig arkitekt som har skapat den. Varje morgon hade damerna i vårt gäng yoga uppe vid poolen tillsammans med de fina fåglarna som satt uppe i träden och sjöng så vackert för oss. Helt underbart och vi längtar redan tillbaka dit. På kvällarna satt vi ute på terassen och åt god mat och dryck och njöt av varma sommarkvällar och fina solnedgångar. Så huset har allt! Vi har haft det så bra i huset och Elba har fått en speciell plats i våra hjärtan. Tack för den här gången. Varma hälsningar Ewa Karmhag

Yogawoche in Secchetto

Die Villa ist wundervoll und die Lage, unmittelbar vom Meer entfernt, traumhaft. Das Haus hat eine grosse Küche, einen wundervollen Garten mit vielen schönen Ecken zum Verweilen. Die Zimmer so wie das ganze Haus sind mit vielen liebevoll gestalteten Accessoire bestückt. Im Garten hat es einen wundervollen Pool mit herrlicher Aussicht zum Meer. Das Haus ist ideal gelegen und ein guter Ort um dies traumhafte Insel zu erkunden.

Already the fourth stay in the dream villa and certainly not the last!

We discovered this dreamlike domicile 8 years ago and spend every 2 years a week with friends on Elba in Villa Montecristo. The villa has lost none of its charm over the years and the holiday enjoyment was again topped by the pool. The furnished with antique furniture villa is located on a beautiful and tastefully landscaped grounds with a beautiful and large terrace. The pool, which is integrated in granite rocks, is located halfway up, so that you have a wonderful view of the sea from there. We enjoyed our vacation week with 13 people this year and will definitely come back. Meanwhile, for us villa is like a second home, the times unfortunately insufficient time can use too little. Arrive and enjoy !!! I will finish the eulogy here - the villa should remain an insider tip ;-)) Many thanks at this point to Fiametta for the kind communication. Very charming house, perfect hosts!

We made vacation with family, 6 adults, 6 kids and 3 dogs. We were welcomed very warmly, uncomplicated and friendly by the owner and her daugther. So were the communication before our arrival. The house is beautiful located and very nice furnished. Everything is well equipped for a bigger group so we could enjoy a wonderful stay at this beautiful Island with a magnificient sea view from garden and pool. We can only recommend Villa Montecristo.

Very charming house, perfect hosts!

We made vacation with family, 6 adults, 6 kids and 3 dogs. We were welcomed very warmly, uncomplicated and friendly by the owner and her daugther. So were the communication before our arrival. The house is beautiful located and very nice furnished. Everything is well equipped for a bigger group so we could enjoy a wonderful stay at this beautiful Island with a magnificient sea view from garden and pool. We can only recommend Villa Montecristo.

What a wonderful world!

We - a group of old time friends with children - spent a week at Villa Montecristo in February. Even if the island is well known for its summer side, it has been a wonderful holiday and we had the chance to go all over the island with nobody around: desert beaches, beautiful landscapes... the only sound we heard from the house was the waves crushing on the beach and the birds singing on the trees. Despite the winter season, the weather in Secchetto was hot enough to chill all day long in the beautiful garden or to relax on the beach (which is about 1 minute away). In the late afternoon we enjoyed cooking in the big, charming kitchen: being a group of food enthusiasts, we appreciated very much it was fully and very well equipped with high quality appliances which were impossible to be found in our past experiences in rented houses. Among blender, grinder, whisking, we felt in love with the entire set of aluminium pots, which are a real must for every chef to get excellent results! The house itself is very beautiful and charming, everybody has his own space to be alone but the stunning and huge sitting room was the heart, where we all spent time together. The owner is super kind and the house keeper as well. We will be back for sure to “our” Villa Montecristo

Perfect family and friends getaway... even in winter!

This is the second time we choose Villa Montecristo for our getaway with family and friends. We were three families, 6 adults and 5 children and 2 babies and we've already been there in summer: because we felt in love with the house, the island, the neighbor, we decided to try it also in winter! Everything was simply perfect: the island has a wonderful weather and, during the day, we spent our time on the (desert) beach or walking on the mountains: at the end of the week we were tan! The island is not crowded at all so it is the best period of the year to visit it and go around all day long without any parking o lines issues. The villa itself is incredibly beautiful, charming and has a fully equipped kitchen where we spent our late afternoons - after the sun has gone - to cook tasty Italian meals. The owner and the staff were as great and kind as we remember, so we can't recommend Villa Montecristo never enough - also in winter - and we'll come back again and again (maybe in Spring or Autumn next time!)

We simply love it

We’ve been in this house for the fourth time this year. Thank you so very much for a wonderful holiday again. We didnt know what to expect about the new pool and we are more than exited about it now - it fits so well in the sorrounding and it‘s really beautiful up there with the stunning view. Before that, it was a great house closed to the beach - now it’s a great house really just by the sea. We also noticed some other new things (new matraces and chaires in the living room!). Thank you to Fiametta and Family for caring so much and sharing this place! We will come back in two years.

È stata una vacanza stupenda.

Sechetto è un ottimo posto per essere fuori dalla confusione anche in pieno agosto ma comunque avere tutti i servizi minimi per godere la propria vacanza: mini market, panificio, pizzeria, spiaggia attrezzata. La casa è molto bella e si presta ottimamente per famiglie o gruppi numerosi. Noi eravamo in 8 con 5 bimbi..surplus gradito la stupenda piscina da cui ammirare il cielo stellato nelle calde serate elbane!

My name is Fiammetta (on the left in photo), I am 37 years old and I am a lawyer in Genova, Italy.
Since I was a young child I used to spend my summer holidays in our family house in Elba that I love with all my heart. Since 2007 I manage rentings and I try to do all my best to make our guests feel at home at Villa Montecristo and to make them feel as I feel when I go there: relaxed and happy!
My mother, Cristina (on the right in the photo) is the owner of the house: she is a professional paintings restorer and an amateur painter and ceramist. She loves Villa Montecristo as me, and we both really enjoy to go there ofter to make house-keeping works as painting, fixing small things, gardening etc. The Villa is big and ancient, so there's always something to be improved and we never get bored there. For sure we two are the men of the house!
We love cooking (especially at Villa Montecristo, where we have a fully equipped kitchen and lot of time!) and animals, dogs especially, that are always more than welcome (if well educated :)

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Villa Montecristo belongs to my mother's family (the Mellini's, an acient roman nobiliar family) since XVIII century: it is a charming tuscan villa and it is furnished with ancient furniture.
In 1814 Emperor Napoleone Bonaparte spent few nights there, in the double room at the ground floor (that so we call 'Napoleon's room'), and he left two iron camp beds that we converted in two tables in the sitting room. In the whole house you can feel Napoleon, as my great grand father, my grand father were (and my father is) Napoleon's heirlooms collectors.
By the way, even if the house has an ancient history and a glorious past (if only it could speak I am quite sure it would have many things to tell…) it also has a present! The Villa sits about 50 meters from the sea: at just three minutes on foot there is Seccheto’s beach, and Seccheto village (and its shops) is less than five minutes walking; Cavoli’s beach, known as the most beautiful beach on the island, is less than ten minutes on foot, so you can have ready at hand almost everything you need!
The Villa and its garden are big enough for many people, so everyone can find his own quite spot to read a book, to sleep, to work, to have a glass of wine by watching the sunset on the sea in Fetovaia’s bay. But there’s also a terrace area with two long garden tables where we use to have lunch and dinner all together, eating Italian typical meals we cooked in the afternoon with fresh organic food or, why not?, to enjoy a great barbecue!
In 2014 we renovated a garden belt behind the house with a granitic table and a bench for solitary people that want to be alone with theirself to work or to meditate in a peaceful spot.
In July 2017 we made perhaps the biggest improvement ever: a spectacular and unique infinity swimming pool entirely built in the antique Roman granite quarry behind the house, to be published shortly in the major architectural magazines.
