Perfect For Large Family Groups

We were a group of 14 grandparents, parents and young children. The separate apartments meant each family could have their own privacy if needed, but we could come together for meals, etc in the big shared spaces.The property is well kept and the apartments have everything you need. The pool is absolutely beautiful and we all appreciated it, especially the children. The games and sports facilities were great too and we had a few mini tournaments throughout the week.Two evenings we had the chef cook for us, which was fabulous and made our stay even more relaxing. The owners were quick to respond to queries and it was a pleasure to deal with them and finally meet them during our stay.I can’t recommend Casa Galo enough, my only complaint is that one week wasn’t long enough!

Great stay, Villa works well for big family gathering

A great villa made up of 4 separate apartments which works well for a big family group all looking for a bit of their own space. The hosts were great, attentive, and also connected us with some local chefs who we hired to cook for us on 3 of the nights. The pool and surrounding areas became the centre for all activities and we loved the place.

Wonderful trip in a fabulous property

We were three families with six teenage boys between us. The accommodation was perfect for us as the boys could have their own place which suited them and us perfectly! It was great to each have our own kitchens and bathrooms too. The pool area is beautiful and the canopy provided some much needed shade. Scilicli was a beautiful town to visit and eat out in. All in all a really wonderful holiday that we all loved - thank you so much Elena!

Top place

This is a great house if you travel 3-4 families like we did. 4 good apartments, 1 big ”for all” area with Kitchen and TV room. The pool area could not be better with grill, a nice place for dinner, boule, tennis, basket, table football, table tennis. Also a playground for small kids. The house is located 5-7 minutes by car to Beach and 15 minutes to beautiful Marina di Ragusa. 5 min to good supermarket. Strong recommendations for a bigger goup.

Perfect for a family get together

A lovely property with plenty of space for a larger group. We were a group of extended family so the combination of separate living areas but the option of the communal rating areas was perfect. There was plenty of space for everyone and the extra shirts activities such as table tennis and basketball were a bonus. The owners were easy to contact. Transport is essential as it is a 10 minutes drive from nearest facilities and the coast. My only slight criticism was that it was an expensive property that had several small things broken but this didn't soul the holiday at all. We had waited 3 years to finally get together on this holiday and it didn't disappoint!

The most incredible 5* villa

This was a group holiday, 16 people split over 4 families and we stayed for 7 days. The room layouts are brilliant and gave everyone a separate bathroom, lounge & kitchen. There was also a large open plan area with seating, large table and cooking facilities which we used communally. The amenities are fantastic with Tennis, Basketball, Table Tennis, French Boule and the star of the show, the pool. The pool was cleaned by the owners on a daily basis and was in constant use by us throughout our stay. At one point swimming at midnight? Not something you can do in a hotel? Our hosts were extremely helpful and explained everything when we arrived. You must have transport here though as it’s a long way from town or shops. The Eurospin supermarket is great value and has everything you’ll need for your stay, and only 3km away. All the rooms are spotless and a lot of effort has gone into making this an incredible villa. If you book here you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful property with a few hick ups..

Stunning property and beautiful appartments with an amazing pool, tennis court and lots of recreational spaces. Very clean and comfortable place to stay, great for a large group of people to book out the entire property. Highly recommend organising a chef through the hosts, she was amazing! MUST HAVE CAR!! There is limited public transport and taxis to the town and beach. The initial communication with the hosts was over very good however we wish we had a bit more information... We were not told to not drink tap water and many of us got extremely ill. One day the family and their children came to use the pool facilities without letting us know first and during the stay it was difficult to contact the hosts. Keep track of your own AC power usage as you are charged for it at the end of the stay.

Casa Galo in one word: MAGNIFICENT!

What a beautifull villa on a perfect location! We stayed in this villa for one week, with 5 families consisting in total of 10 adults and 9 children, varying in age from 0,5 to 10 years and we all had a really great time. The villa is layed out for 4 families (and 20 people), but by transferring part of the common space into 2 bedrooms we managed to comfortably house 5 families! The apartments are all very comfortable, clean, and foreseen with their own kitchen and bathroom. The villa is extremely well suited for children and has varias spots to sit down and relax. The tenniscourt on top of the swimming pool is an absolute bonus. The owners are very very kind and will do everything to make your stay a success. We could more than warmly recommended this villa to everybody and hope to return sometime in the future and if not we will for always keep the good memories of a fantastic week in our hearts! You need a car, but that allows you to get to the nearby supermarkets (Eurospin/Conrad) within just 5 minutes and to easily get to Scicli, Ragussa, Donnalucata and other beautifull typical Sicilian villages and enjoy the local food, wine and last but not least the icecream!

beautiful house in beautiful garden

We, a group of 10 women, have booked three of residential properties in the house Galo for al long weekend of 4 days. At the time of our booking we were the only guests. We received a very warm welcome and got a nice tour in and around the house. The owners have converted the farm to some nice cozy apartments. Galo house enjoys a nice location in a beautiful garden (cactus's in the garden are really very impressive) with a nice pool. Every day the garden was kept and swept and the beds by the pool put down nicely. We have used a lot of sport items and swimming pool things that are present in the house. Especially we used the tennis rackets a lot (tennis court is also suitable for basketball) Scicly is a beautiful city in 20min drive from the house and it is really a city that you must see! Supermarket is less than 10min drive away. The appratementen were clean and the beds were good. Documentation is abundant on environment. Still had fun talking to the owners about what to visit and what was to do in the area. We all have enjoyed our stay very much. House Galo is really a must to spend a wonderful relaxing time

Great place

My family and I had a great stay. As others have mentioned the villa is divided into separate apartments of different sizes, visit the owners website for floorplans to the units. There is also a unit typically used as a common space which worked very well. The configuration meant if some of the family wanted to take a break, they could and if you were a group of friends you each had your own areas to escape to complete with your own full kitchen. The owners do rent out the individual units on their own so they are completely self-contained. There are activities everywhere on the property from Bocce, table tennis, the real tennis court, to the very nice pool and deck area. There are racquets and balls for all the sports along with lots of pool toys. As our trip drew closer, communication from the owners was great. We had three family members sending us messages at various times with different bits of information. All questions were answered quickly. The owners also make sure you are clear on the extra charges for air conditioning and linens. Note, these are payable in cash so have some euros in hand. Elena was on site most days and would check in with us to make sure everything was okay, her father would come by every so often with a smile and a hello and the cleaning staff were there first thing in the morning to clean the pool and make sure everything was in order for your day. There was no real issues we had and I'm sure if there had been anything it would have been quickly dealt with. The owners also organized a chef to cook for us one night. This was a highlight of the trip and we would recommend anyone visiting to take advantage of the opportunity. The chef is top-notch. He is the head chef at a culinary school, and the Sicilian food he made for us was perfect. If we're back to Sicily I happily stay at Casa Galo again.

Nous avons passé 15 jours merveilleux. Nous étions un groupe de 15, chaque famille avait son propre coin, ce qui permettait si besoin de se retrouver ou de partager des repas tous ensemble. Les extérieurs sont très bien entretenus avec plein de coins séparés. La maison est idéalement située pour vadrouiller. Je conseille. La propriétaire est adorable et hyper réactive

Séjour de rêve

Arrivée tard dans la nuit à cause des horaires d'avion,mais ouverture portail,clés, tout etait facile meme à minuit. Un magnifique séjour familial

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour avec toute notre famille (17 personnes, de 2 à 80 ans). La propriété est spacieuse, avec de très beaux espaces et des activités extérieures (piscine, tennis, ping pong, pétanque, balançoires et tobogan). Elle est idéalement conçue pour plusieurs couples avec des logements séparés mais côte à côte et une grande cuisine pour préparer des repas collectifs si on le souhaite. Le contact avec la propriétaire est très facile. Merci à Pina pour sa présence discrète et efficace le matin, à la piscine ou dans le jardin. Un séjour enchanteur à cette période de l'année, nous y reviendrions avec plaisir !

Schönes Haus mit Verbesserungspotenzial

Insgesamt ein eigentlich schönes Fleckchen Erde mit vielen Aktivtäten. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und die Kommunikation verlief gut und schnell. Einige Dinge hätten wir gerne anders gehabt. Pro: - Apartments mit jeweils eigenen Badezimmern und Küchen mit guter Ausstattung - Trotz Hitze relativ kühl im Haus, auch bei wenig Klimaanlagennitzung - Viele Sportmöglichkeiten (Tennis, Basketball, etc.) - Pool ist gut gepflegt, inkl. täglicher Service rund um die Poolarea (Es wird aufgeräumt und sauber gemacht) -Schöne Aussicht aus zwei von vier Appartmens mit Meerblick. -Viele schattige Plätze zum verweilen -Viele BBQ Plätze Contra: - Für uns das größte Manko war, dass das Haus direkte Nachbarn hat (Wand an Wand), die sich auch auf dem Gelände bewegen. Man hat das Haus und Gelände also nicht allein. Das hätte in der Beschreibung vermerkt werden müssen. - Es gab Wege die wir nicht betreten durften, da die Nachbarn da wohnten. - Zwei Appartments hatten keinen direkten Pool Zugang, sodass man diese Wege, die nicht betreten werden sollten, nutzen musste oder ein großen Bogen machen musste. - Es war relativ viel Betrieb auf dem Gelände, d.h. es fuhren regelmäßig Autos die Einfahrt zum Haus hoch und es waren dort oft uns unbekannte Menschen unterwegs (vermutlich Freunde der Nachbarn oder Angestellte) - Es gab viele streunende Katzen, die das Essen draußen zur Geduldsprobe machten und teilweise auf die Tische sprangen und das Essen klauten. Die Vermieter haben sich dafür ausdrücklich entschuldigt und angegeben, dass die Katzen nach unserem Aufenthalt in ein Tierheim gebracht werden. Es ist aber leider nicht nachvollziehbar, warum sie damit warten bis wir wieder weg sind. - Die Reinigungskräfte haben sich täglich den ganzen Vormittag auf dem Gelände aufgehalten und sich nicht sehr rücksichtsvoll oft lautstark unterhalten. Im Urlaub wo man entspannen will eher schwierig. - Für die Reinigungsutensilien mussten die Reinigungskräfte teilweise in ein Apartment (Carrubbo), dass sie ohne Vorwarnung betreten haben. Fazit: Wenn man sich darauf einlassen kann, das man auf dem Gelände um das Haus nicht allein ist und das Katzenproblem gelöst wird aufjedenfall einen Besuch wert.

Sehr schöne Anlage, absolut ruhig gelegen.

Super Service- wenn etwas gefehlt hat, wurde es sofort erledigt. Wir kommen wieder. Ausstattung passt und viele Möglichkeiten sich zu verweilen. C.B. Aus Zürich

Super vacances entre amis

Par où commencer tellement notre séjour était incroyable ! :) La maison est superbe, avec un très grand espace et un jardin très bien entretenu. Il y a plusieurs appartements indépendants ce qui permet d’avoir une certaine autonomie et se retrouver au calme. La cuisine de la partie commune est très bien équipée. Tous les matins la piscine était nettoyée par le personnel. Notre bande d’amis gardera un excellent souvenir de ce séjour en Italie, en partie grâce à cette superbe maison. Un grand merci à Carmela, Elena et Gioavanna qui sont super réactive et toujours à l’écoute.

Meraviglioso! Moltissimo spazio, ben organizzato, proprietari e personale adorabili, i dintorni sono ricchi di belle spiagge e siti archtettonici da vedere. Lo rifarei.

Casa Galo

Wir, 14 Personen mit 7 Kindern, waren total begeistert von diesem Landgut. Es war wie für uns geschaffen und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Leider war die Woche viel zu kurz. Gerne kommen wir di bald wie möglich wieder. Liebe Grüße an Carmela, die sich sehr um uns gekümmert hat. Marita
