Great location, good for Arsenal

This property is in a great location for visiting London. The upstairs and bathroom were clean but the downstairs and kitchen were a bit grubby. There was extra furniture in the kitchen that made it hard to sit at the table and random things on shelves like Argos catalogues and used scent diffusers. It could be much nicer with a clean, some paint touch ups and clearing out unused furniture and odd things on shelves.

Liked the location with an easy walk to undergound at Holloway Station. It was easy to get wherever we wanted in London. We were a family of 7 and sleeping space was tight but adequate. The apartment had only one light bulb that worked in every fixture and the dust hanging from them was gross. The kitchen was a good size but we didn't cook in it because it also needed a good cleaning. Coffee pot was old and crusty so we had to go out for coffee in the morning which was disappointing. They advertised a washer and dryer but upon arrival no dryer in the apartment. When I inquired about it I was told "the last tenant broke it and they haven't had a chance to update their website" Based on the dirt around the machine there hasn't been a dryer in the place for awhile. When I travel with my family there are a few amenities I require and a washer/ dryer and a simple working coffee pot as well as a clean place to cook are all I really need. Unfortunately this place did not accommodate my needs.

very good and confortable location

We enjoyed out time in London having this location strategically placed not so far from the piccadilly line station (holloway road). very close to Camden and Others interesting spots in London. Camelia very helpful. We will get back for sure!!!!

Great Location, Helpful Hosts

Thank you so much to Camelia for our four-day stay in her property. I was supposed to call her from the airport when we arrived in London so she would know what time to meet us at the rental, but my phone service could get no signal so I couldn't contact her. She just figured something like that had happened, guessed when we would be arriving, and met us near the tube stop when we arrived in her neighborhood. I was very thankful for that! Camelia even gave me her grocery store card so I would get the member discount and a free cup of coffee when I shopped - I loved that! That first night in the rental we had an issue with the hot water temperature. She responded to my email right away that night and her husband came over first thing in the morning and sorted it out. I appreciated the quick response time. The rental property was snug, but cozy. The bathrooms and bedrooms were sparkly clean, but the kitchen had not been cleaned very thoroughly. There were crumbs on the kitchen table and the inside of the microwave was not clean. The hot water kettle had a lot of build-up inside, so I was unable to use it. The toaster could have used a cleaning out as well. In the online photos the kitchen table had a cute cloth and a vase of flowers. Upon arrival the kitchen cloth was a plastic cloth in poor repair. I know the owners are not obligated to provide supplies, but there was not a paper towel or napkin anywhere, which meant if we had any spill we would have had to use a bath towel to clean up. We had no cleaning supplies either except for a very little bit of dishwashing liquid and a kitchen sponge and small disposable towel for drying. There was a mop (no broom), but no floor cleaning solution to use with the mop. We had to pick up a few things at the grocery to supply those cleaning needs. It would have been very helpful if there had been a few hand towels to use in the bathrooms and some basic cleaning supplies. The location of the property is ideal - very close to a tube stop, which was one of the reasons we chose it. We also really appreciated having a second bathroom. With just a little bit of attention to detail this property could definitely have five stars. The owners were wonderful to work with, so the other things would really make this property stand out.

Great central location

Camelia was great. She arranged transportation to the flat. And was easy to work with on the check-out. The place is best for football fans, but still a great central location for seeing London.

We absolutely loved the a...

We absolutely loved the apartment, there were seven of us and the size of the apartment was perfect. The owners Camelia and Victor were so helpful and provided an excellent service. They provided us with a taxi service that was much cheaper than normal rates. The taxi driver was also very friendly and punctual. We were allowed to arrive and depart at our convenience which was a great help. Camelia met us at the apartment and showed us around the apartment and explained how everything worked. I felt this was a very nice personal touch. She also provided us with maps and guides which made our travelling much easier. The nearest tube station is on the Piccadilly line which made it really easy to get to the centre and other tourist attractions. It was also only five minutes away from the Eurostar station as some of us arrived from Paris. The apartment was really clean and had everything we needed, including a telephone for our relatives to call and internet. The location is perfect and I cannot wait to come back!

"Appartamento in ottimo posizione a 3 minuti a piedi dalla stazione metropolitana di Holloway Road (Piccadilly Line). Diversi supermercati e tantissimi negozi nella strada principale. La via dove è situata la casa è molto tranquilla e silenziosa. Appartamento abbastanza pulito, camere da letto piccole con 2 letti matrimoniali comodi. Gli altri 3 letti sono al piano terra nel soggiorno. Il bagno è uno solo perche al piano terra c''è solo un angolino con WC e piccolissimo lavandino. La cucina è poco attrezzata (mancano perfino le forbici, tovaglia, strofinacci, i piatti non sono sufficienti per 7 persone così come le posate). Dala parte della cucina c''è un piccolo spazio verde mal tenuto. La proprietaria non ha dato alcuna assistenza nè informazione per il soggiorno. Complessivamente va bene ma solo per la sua posizione ed il numero di persone sarebbe 4/5."

"Nous avons apprécié le logement situé Jackson road . L''appartement occupe le rez-de-chaussé et le premier étage. Son descriptif est conforme à la réalité, le logement est suffisamment équipé et propre. Il est bien placé près de la station Holloway rd (400 mètres) qui se trouve sur la picadilly line. Il n''y a que 2 stations de métro de King Cross St Pancras, la gare de l''Eurostar si l''on vient en train. Le métro est super propre, bien équipé et l''on voit nettement que Londres s''est très bien préparé aux J.O. Camelia et Victor nous ont très bien accueilli. Les échanges par mail ont toujours été rapides et précis. Tous ces points positifs nous ont permis de passer un excellent séjour avec en plus une météo très agréable pour le mois de février. A recommander."

"L'appartement, en duplex...

"L'appartement, en duplex, est très bien situé, en zone 2. Pour ceux qui n'aiment pas le métro, et si vous n'êtes pas pressé, il y a un arrêt de bus à 5 minutes à pied, et deux bus vous mènent en ville en quelques dizaines de minutes. Quand il ne pleut pas (:-(, on peut profiter d'une petite cour/jardin. L'appartement est calme (les voisins du dessus sont très discrets) et la rue peu passante. Comparé à l'hôtel, c'est une très bonne solution (dans notre cas, un couple avec deux enfants de 10 et 13 ans), d'autant plus que le prix était pratiquement le même ! Le plus : la propriétaire a répondu rapidement par email à toutes les questions que nous lui avons posées avant le départ et nous a communiqué un document avec de précieuses informations. C'est un appartement que nous aimerions relouer quand nous retournerons à Londres, et que nous conseillerons à nos amis."

"L''appartamento è pulito, abbastanza spazioso e ben equipaggiato; l''arredamento è essenziale ma nuovo; tutto il piano superiore ha un parquet nuovo , le due camere da letto matrimoniali per gli standard londinesi sono abbastanza grandi, luminose e ben sistemate ; il bagno è anch''esso nuovo e spazioso ; la collocazione è nella parte di Islington più a nord, meno vivace e piu'' anonima della zona di Angel e Upper street , ma comunque in una zona discreta e silenziosa. Inoltre la stazione della linea Piccadilly è davvero a due passi . In definitiva, una buona scelta."

"Nous venons de passer 2 ...

"Nous venons de passer 2 nuits dans cet appartement, proche du stade de foot de l'équipe d'Arsenal. C'est un emplacement idéal pour se ballader dans Londres. A une bonne dizaine de minutes de la gare Saint Pancréas (arrêt Eurostar), dans un quartier très calme, sauf pendant les matches bien sûr, cet appartement est équipé de tout le nécessaire idéal à se restaurer, dormir sur place. La literie y est excellente. Ecran plat avec chaines anglaises, wifi qui fonctionne très bien, 2 wcs et une baignoire/douche très propre comme le reste de l'appartement."

"Very nice apartment idea...

"Very nice apartment ideally located. Excellent pick up with from the airport ,24 hours taxi service organised by Mrs Njemanze saved us a lot of time and money; we arrived comfortable and refreshed and started the holiday sooner than wasting half a day travelling by bus from the airport. Tube station Holloway Road is less than 5 minutes walk and then 5-15 minutes to Central London. Lot of shops, supermarkets and restaurants are very close. We enjoyed eating out in the garden , visiting the Arsenal stadium 100m away and had a lovely holiday. When we come back to London we’ll rent this apartment again."
