Conexión con París en tren o por la autopista en 45 min. Ambiente con bosques y campo ofreciendo una tranquilidad absoluta. Grande casa (240 m2)
con 5 habitaciones para 10 personas (máximo 11). 3 cuartos de baño y 3 servicios. Amplio salón (60 m2) con una grande chimenea para hacer lindas fogatas. Grande cocina (30m2) equipada con todas las máquinas.

Stay in Ogerus

We had a great time in this property and enjoyed the pool and garden. Michael explained everything at check in and kindly left us home made jam and crème caramel. However, the house is very tired and could do with a revamp, particularly at this price.

Excellent séjour en famille

Dans une demeure pleine de caractère, dans un séjour spacieux où grande cheminée a contribué à un joyeux Noël ! Nous serons ravis de profiter du bel extérieur également lors d’un séjour estival. Merci à Michel pour toutes ses attentions, nous avons été parfaitement bien accueillis.

Fabuleux séjour

Nous avions organisé une réunion de famille dans cette belle propriété. Et nous avons adoré! Idéalement située, sur un beau et grand jardin fleuri. Calme absolu. La piscine était chauffée et nous avons pu largement en profiter. Grande Maison très confortable, cuisine bien équipée, belle terrasse pour déjeuner. Chambres bien décorées, on se sent comme chez soi. Très bon contact avec le propriétaire, très serviable, qui a pris le temps de nous expliquer comment utiliser au mieux la maison et visiter les environs. Week end très réussi , nous reviendrons avec plaisir. Je recommande fortement cette location.

Peaceful Getaway

Lovely property, a little ‘tired’, very much a family home that is let out. If you want a pool and peaceful countryside this is for you. The pictures on the website are many years old so doesn’t accurately reflect the house and gardens as they are today. If you’re expecting pristine mod cons you’d be better to look elsewhere but for us, the many kitchen extras such as cooking herbs, spices, oils and a beautiful bottle of champagne left for us by Michel more than made up for any shortfalls. Great place for a very quiet holiday.

séjour très agréable.

La maison est bien organisée pour accueillir 4 couples et 3 bébés. Elle est confortable et très bien équipée. Et grâce à sa proximité avec Thoiry, nous avons pu visiter le zoo chacun à notre rythme. C'était parfait.

Dépaysement complet à 50 minutes de Paris

Très belle propriété avec un grand terrain ainsi qu'une grande piscine chauffée (cf. annonce pour les dates à laquelle la piscine est chauffée). Chambres spacieuses et bien isolées. Salle à manger fraiche même en cas de grosse chaleur à l'extérieur. Equipement de la cuisine: parfait

Prachtig, rustig gelegen authentiek Frans vakantiehuis

Heerlijke week gehad met twee families met zoons tussen 17-20 jaar. Fijn verwarmd zwembad, tafeltennistafel en een prachtige, rustige tuin. We hadden niet altijd lekker weer om aan het zwembad te liggen maar de grote open haard in de huiskamer maakte veel goed. Zeer gunstig gelegen ten opzichte van Parijs. Prachtige wandelroutes in de buurt. Geen uitgaansplek voor jongeren maar daar waren wij ook niet naar op zoek. De huiseigenaar is zeer behulpzaam. Kortom een hele fijne plek om met een groep of twee families te verblijven.

Un lieu parfait pour cocooner en hiver

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end d'hiver à la Pommeraie, entre balades en forêt et moments au coin du feu. Michel s'est révélé un hôte parfait.

Wij 6 volwassenen en 3 kinderen hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad in een mooi huis met een prachtige tuin en een heerlijk zwembad. Het ontvangst door Michel was hartelijk en gastvrij.

We visited the home in April of 2019 and could not have more happy as this was a truly memorable trip for our entire family. We would absolutely come back to this property again as the pictures do not do the house or the impressive grounds justice (it’s beautiful and well maintained). Michel, the owner of the home, is an amazing host. He was highly communicative in advance of our arrival and checked in several times during our trip to make sure we were enjoying ourselves/did not have any questions. He provided lots of suggestions, many of which he has written in a detailed guest book that he goes through with you upon arrival. Michel clearly wants families to enjoy themselves instead of simply to rent his home and hand over the keys. He actually cooked us a dessert which he left in the fridge for us. There were 11 of us in total (two grandparents, four adults, and five children aged 6-16) and the home had comfortable sleeping for 11 as advertised with more than enough space. There are two rooms on the lower level with wide hallways and an easy to access shower in case there are any with mobility issues. All of the showers/bathrooms are updated with good water pressure. The large eat-in kitchen is well stocked with dishwasher, cooking supplies and plenty of glasses/plates/etc, coffee maker. The pool does have a separate fence from the main yard as well as a security cover which Michel shows you how to operate so parents can feel more safe with young one’s. It was too cold for the parents to use the pool, but the kids did jump in quickly and the security cover was easy to turn a key to easily slide on/slide off when not in use. The living room and dining room are large and inviting with a massive fireplace. Michel had logs and kindling set up for us to easily start a fire when we desired and showed us where he keeps additional wood. The home which is on a long country road is still only 2 km from the village of Orgerus and train (easy access to Paris if you don’t want to deal with traffic/parking in the city). The village has nice bakeries, butcher shop, grocery store (even larger grocery store is only 5 km away), wine shop, and several small restaurants. I highly recommend this house to any family.

Three weeks in the country

The house is a lovely old property with ancient roses and other aged plants accenting what might have once been an orchard. The house is warm and exudes the love of a family retreat. It suited our family of 11 perfectly. Rooms are pleasant and the beds are comfortable. A small negative is inconvenient closet/storage for so many people staying for a long period. Americans will find the washer/dryer smaller than normal, requiring more time/attention to laundry. The well appointed kitchen invites cooking and family meals. The pool is very well maintained and a bonus if kids are in the group. Having made several trips to France, we found this less-travelled area to be very interesting and quiet. A great get-away if you have a stressful life. It seemed to us a more authentic French experience. Nearby towns of Rambouillet, Evreux, Houdan, and Anet provided plenty of history without the crowds of Chartre or Versailles, though they are within a very easy drive. We were treated to witnessing the wheat harvest, showcasing the unique gold color made famous by Van Gogh and other impressionists. If Paris is your main interest, you may find the one hour commute burdensome. Our time there was unseasonably hot, adding to the fatigue of train/metro travel. Area restaurants and patisseries were wonderful, though the town of Orgerus essentially closes for August, as do many businesses in France. There are many wonderful markets with very fresh produce, meats and BREAD. Our host was charming and accommodating, a man one would treasure as a friend. Highly recommend La Pommeraie!

Wonderful property. Perfect for family vacations.

We loved our two weeks in June in Orgerus. The house and garden are beautiful, comfy, large and well equipped. On the outskirts of town, it allows for French village life away from mass tourism. Lots to do and great for kids as they can enjoy the pool, horse riding, the Thoiry zoo, Disneyland and Asterix park, which is also a wonderful experience for grown ups. The location is excellent and during our stay we also visited Paris, Versailles, Orléans, Chartres and Giverny. We have rented properity all over Europe but Michel´s house and his hospitality made our time in Orgerus unforgettable and a 5 star experience.The house, surroundings and host lived up to all our best expectations, and we give them our best recommendation, hoping to return before long.

Magnifique gîte au calme, aux portes de Paris

Vous recherchez un gîte, au calme, proche de Versailles, Paris, Thoiry, Rambouillet, la vallée de Chevreuse... ? Ne cherchez pas, vous avez trouvé ! A moins d'une heure de Paris, 30 minutes de Versailles en voiture ou par le train (gare toute proche), vous trouverez calme et quiétude dans ce gîte très bien entretenu à 1 minute du bourg d'Orgerus et de ses commodités ! Nous étions 3 familles, soit 11 personnes, à pouvoir profiter des 3 salles d'eau, WC, 4 chambres, grande cuisine et immense séjour avec sa cheminée. Le tout dans un grand parc, adossé à un petit bois. Et si vous louez en saison, vous pourrez profiter d'une piscine (non testée car à Noël, elle n'est pas en service.) A recommander (ou pas... pour être sûr de pouvoir relouer) !!!

Beautiful well-equipped house in a very quiet location yet close to amenities and Paris.

Perfect house for either relaxing and doing nothing or for visiting Paris. It is very well equipped with a lovely pool, good kitchen, lots of space and a wonderful garden. We visited Paris and the zoo at Thoiry, both an easy short drive away. Thoroughly recommended and the owner Michel was very helpful and keen to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

mooi, gezellig huis.

Wij zijn er een week met ons gezin geweest en hebben ons prima vermaakt. Alles is aanwezig voor een fijn verblijf. Een rustige omgeving grote tuin met een mooi zwembad.

Superbes souvenirs de ce séjour !

Quel week-end ! Nous avons pu rassembler amis et famille devant le grand feu de cheminée de cette maison où l'on se sent très vite comme à la maison. Début avril le beau temps, n'a été que été que très partiellement au rdv, le fuel est dans ce cas a surveiller de prêt ! Sa consommation s'envole ! Très confortable pour 12 personnes. Deux wc séparés au RDC, fait assez rare pour être souligné !

Perfect

This was already the second time we stayed in this beautiful house. The house itself, the peaceful Orgerus village and the distance to Paris are perfect for our holidays with famlly and friends. It is very easy to visit Paris and Versailles, and even the eurodisney, with a rental car or by train from this location. The best moments are the nights when you return from busy Paris city to a calm and peaceful "home".

Genoten in een fantastisch familiehuis

We hebben met 4 kinderen en 5 volwassenen een week lang in dit karakteristieke huis genoten. De diverse sfeervolle ruimtes, de gigantisch grote tuin en een mooi zwembad zorgden voor een zorgeloze vakantie. Het huis ligt aan de rand van een groot bos voor lange wandelingen. Winkeltjes zijn dichtbij te vinden. Ook zijn belangrijke plaatsen zoals Parijs en Versailles goed aan te rijden. Kortom een aanrader!!

Un excellent week-end dans une magnifique maison

Nous avons passé le réveillon lors d’un week-end prolongé et malheureusement nous devions quitter cette jolie demeure. Une maison, agréable, propre, équipée, de caractère, un jardin bien entretenu, enfin parfaite. Et lorsque la température chute, apprécier simplement un feu de cheminée. En lisière de bois, nous avons profité des ballades au grand air où nous avons pu apercevoir quelques animaux : faisans, lièvres, lapins… J’espère pouvoir y revenir pour profiter de la piscine. Un propriétaire disponible et à l’écoute !

Amazing, beautiful property in rural France

We were a party of 10- 6 adults and 4 children aged 3-8yrs. The house was wonderful, very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for the week! We hardly ate out as it was so cheap and easy to buy food from the local supermarket (5 mins in the car) and cook ourselves. Michel met us on arrival and made us feel so welcome- he showed us around and was so helpful, we had his number if there was anything we needed during our stay we only had to call- and he even arranged taxis for us to the local train station when we went on a day out to Paris! Only 45 mins from Orgerus Station to Paris and the kids loved seein the Eiffel Tower etc without having to travel too far! The pool was fantastic and the kids (and adults) pretty much lived in it all week! We did strike it lucky with the weather although it was August we had an exceptionally hot wk in the 30's! The garden is also huge so when they were out of the water the children had loads of running around space and there were a few footballs at the house to have a kick about, The beds were really comfortable and the newly fitted bathrooms and showers were very modern and clean! Can only think of positive things to say nothin negative - We would definitely look into staying here again Thank you Michel for a wonderful holiday- worth every penny!!
