Perfect house

I must say that we are very happy with The stay, there is everything In this House. We really enjoyed The BBQ area outside, we made food there every Night.

What a fantastic place to stay!

There were 12 of us travelling (6 adults and 6 teenagers) and the villa was perfect. The host Kruno and Dario were brilliant and very helpful with any queries. The facilities at the villa we’re so good that even on days when the weather wasn’t great, there was still plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. In summary the villa and hosts were brilliant!

Super stay in a superb location and villa

We really enjoyed our stay at the villa. Kruno has been very kind, responsible and responsive with us. We also enjoyed the grocery shopping, massage and bread delivery service in the morning very much. For my birthday a superb cake was delivered which a woman in the village handmade for us. The house is exactly as described and we are planning on returning to the house again.

Long weekend trip

A group of 8 of us stayed at the property for a long weekend. Needless to say we had the most amazing stay and didn’t leave the villa except to get food as it had everything we could possibly want. The facilities are outstanding and has a breathtaking view.

Casa davvero stupenda! Se già dalle foto può sorprendere, nella realtà è anche meglio. Il giardino è molto grande, e la casa (davvero pulita) complessivamente è ben suddivisa e offre molti spazi per stare tutti insieme, rilassarsi e godere della splendida vista. La villa è “nascosta” (quindi offre la possibilità di una certa intimità) ma comunque non è troppo distante dalle altre case. Il lago è davvero ad un passo dalla casa. Noi eravamo in 11 ragazzi, e abbiamo soggiornato per sei giorni come viaggio di maturità. Non ci siamo praticamente mossi da quante cose si potevano fare all’interno della proprietà. Il proprietario di casa è davvero molto disponibile e pronto ad offrirti qualsiasi tipo di consiglio.

Perfect location in a beautiful and quiet area

The house is perfect, we stayed there as a group of 11 friends, enough space for everybody. Very luxury, great opportunities to enjoy the time. The facilities are perfect and you will find anything you need to enjoy your holiday. The grill and the pizza oven are great. Kruno and his family have been very friendly and helpful.

Time of our Lives

Family holiday with a couple of friends which just surpassed all expectations. 4 adults, 2 teenagers and a toddler (3 years old) - and there was something to do for every single one of us. First time to Croatia - which in itself was amazing - but our holiday was really made by Villa Jelenic and the fabulous service provided by Kruno and his family. Nothing was too much effort for Kruno who was on the phone regardless of what time it was. Even when a huge storm cut the electricity in the whole area for an evening and following morning, Kruno provided us with updates as to when power would be restored! The house is stunning as the pictures show, and was perfect for our needs especially in terms of playing squash and swimming. We made use of the barbecue and pizza oven area every night which made for a real communal atmosphere as we all chatted and laughed in the beautiful Croatian evenings. Pool was cleaned and treated every morning to ensure that it was crystal clear. Use of mountain bikes, a kayak, swimming pool, squash courts, gym, basketball court, cinema room, pub area etc were all well used by us over the course of the week. Everything you need inside the house for cooking and eating is well catered for. Local shops including a Lidl are less than 10 minutes drive away as well as other shops and places to eat out. All in all .... a magnificent experience and I will be recommending it to anyone who is looking for something different and exclusive. Thanks Kruno!

Had a lovely holiday

Had such a lovely time at Villa Jelenic. Me and family of 8 all adults plus a 15month baby stayed here for 10nights. And one thing is for sure you can't get bored here! So much to do during the day at the villa, and we made full use of it - the pool, the cinema, the squash courts, pizza oven, table tennis etc. It was fun filled and there was something for everyone. The views from the villa blew us away, absolutely stunning view of the lake which can be seen from the master bedroom, the terrace and the garden. Beautiful place and we where throughly looked after during our stay with someone on hand at all times if we needed anything. My niece (15months old) absolutely loved the garden and pool area and settled into the house very easily. Now returned home in England, we very much miss the Villa and Croatia!

A very special, wonderful and homely villa

Highly recommended villa, we would absolutely stay there again. Kruno and his family were brilliant - welcoming, attentive and contacted us regularly to ensure we had a great holiday. The villa itself was perfect for 2 families with teenagers - so much space and so much to do. Particular highlights for us were the squash court, the outdoor BBQ and seating area, pool, views over the lake, sauna and overall peaceful and secluded location. The villa itself was spotless and homely, everything as described. The cinema room is great (Top tip: take a hard drive / DVDs to make most use of it). Fabulous!

Wonderful house in a beautiful calm landscape

I enjoyed a wonderful stay in this beautiful lakefront house with a big group of friends. Exquisite recreational equipment (basketball court inside and outside, trampoline, swimming pool, whirpool, sauna, movie theater, big garden and terrasse with barbecue, etc.), very tasteful and cosy interior. Each room has its own character, the batchrooms are fully equipped with a spa feeling. The pictures promise exactly what you get. Wonderful getaway to relax and recharge your batteries. Definetly recommended!

Villa straordinaria per gruppi e famiglie

Fuori dal caos turistico ma strategicamente collocata nelle vicinanze di luoghi da visitare (1 ora dalla costa, da Zagabria, da cascate e parco naturale di Plitvice), questa grande villa è stata una vera sorpresa. Stanze e ambienti comuni sono dotati di confort moderni nel contesto di uno stile rusticale. in più un vasto giardino, strutture sportive (campi basket indoor o esterno, palestra) e una vista mozzafiato su vallata e lago a ridosso di Ogulin. Un paradiso. È in grado di ospitare anche gruppi numerosi (noi eravamo un gruppo di amici) o più famiglie con bambini, che possono scorazzare liberamente e senza pericoli. Consigliatissima per una vacanza in un paese bellissimo, dove però specie in alcuni periodo dell'anno si rischia di finire in strutture non adeguate. Qui ci siamo trovati benissimo.

Perfect holiday

We, a group of 8 young people, had the honour to be the first guests in the Jelenic Villa or - to be more correct - in the Jelenic Temple! Absolutely stunning holiday house with every sports facility you will imagine (squash field, basket courts, fitness room etc.), a warm swimming pool, a pizza oven, a big barbecue place, several terraces from which you have a wonderful view over the lake, 2 jacuzzis, sauna and on top of all a REAL cinema room (3D films) where you'll feel more comfortable than on your own sofa and lots of more. The owners were very cool and helpful and answered within minutes to our questions via whatsapp. They gave us very useful advice regarding trips, restaurants and more and tried everything to ensure we had a good time Thank you Kruno and your nice family for the possibility to have one of the best holidays ever. Perfect house to combine relaxing and sports holiday with trips to lakes (Plitvica) and the coast (Zengg, Cres) as well as to cities as Zagreb and Karlovac! Absolutely to recommend and not the last time in the Jelenic villa!:)

Gorgeous Home, Stunning Location

My wife is from Croatia and we visit from NY each summer with our kids. We didn't discover Villa Jelenic until our 5th trip, but we'll be booking a stay every year from here on out. The house is amazing - among the nicest I've ever stayed in. It's like the best hotel you've ever booked, without a thousand random people milling about. The pictures on this listing really show it off well. The beauty and serenity of the location, however, you really need to experience in person. I could sit on that deck for hours in total silence (if my kids would let me). Kruno takes great care of the property and is very easy to work with. The house has tons of space, and there's so much to do that you could easily spend a week without ever leaving (you should get out a bit, though, the country is beautiful).

Small paradise to relax

Lovely place to relax. We spent some days with friends celebrating the b-day of one croatian friend who recommended us the place. It was amazing !!! Hope to be there back soon. Don't forget to cook some cevapcici outside.

Absolutely loving it

Nothing better than waking up in the morning, making a coffee, and sitting on the terrace overlooking nearby lake. Everything was top quality and we enjoyed each and every day we spent in Villa Jelenic. We couldn’t get our kids from the pool during the day and from the cinema on the evening. Being a sport buffs, we appreciated squash court and other options for active vacation. Will definitely recommend this property to friends and can’t wait to go there again :)

Superb interior / clean / cozy / welcoming

We are a family of 4 from Australia visiting our family and friends in Serbia and Croatia last summer. We have stayed with Bertovic family almost a week and they made it special for us. This place is great, so many things to do, but most of all, we enjoyed the fact that due to many activities in and around the house that kept our kids entertained, we have managed to have our own special time… I have particularly enjoyed long morning coffees on the terrace overlooking a beautiful lake. Wonderful and unexpected experience!

In a country that by itself is already a lost paradise in Europe, we had the privilege of enjoying family Bertovic's warm welcome in their luxurious but yet relaxed lake house surrounded by an astonishing nature. The offered amenities that go from the swimming pool to the squash court and the cinema room, all settled in a true display of comfort and good taste, provided us an unforgettable summer week.

Stunning holiday villa

We have been guests last summer and we enjoyed the views, activities, nature and peacefulness of the place. I've arrived on my Harley, hence I can recommend this place to all bike lovers as a perfect spot in the middle of Croatia from where you can explore the country by riding on some really cool roads and through really great landscapes. We will for sure come again…

Great holidays

We have been Villa Jelenic's guests for more than a decade and witnessed its development from a little family weekend house into a fantastic luxury vacation home. We had such a great time with our kids experiencing beauties of Gorski Kotar and Lika, exploring national parks, caves, culture and mountaineering together with our hosts. We highly recommend this place all year around since each season carries its own beauty. This house provides a perfect balance for those who enjoy nature but at the same time do not want to give up on a modern luxury.
