Host was very friendly and the cottage was great and well stocked with dishes and stuff to cook with and a coffee station with different types of coffee and hot chocolate. Great location and quiet area. The whole family had a great time. Even had board games to play. I will love to go back

Janet's place was perfect. A beautiful nostalgic home that literally has everything that you would need. If you have a short stay or planning a vacation this is the perfect place. It gives you the feel of going back home to grandmas. Priced well for everything you get. We will absolutely stay there again. Communication was a breeze. Don't let this beauty pass, just book it..

The house was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated for the holiday. The entry and check out instructions were clear, and the host was attentive. My nephews loved making s’mores in the fire pit and riding their bikes downtown to visit the historic park. It was a wonderful place for our extended family to gather and enjoy each others company.

Beautiful Property

The property was beautiful and my group had a great time. All shops, restaurants, and recreation activities were conveniently within a 15 minute drive. I will definitely consider coming back soon!

Lovely home in downtown Lafayette. Many amenities provided to help those that have traveled long distances, including shampoo, body lotion, body wash, soap, laundry detergent, dish washing liquid, etc. A coffee bar! Yes, coffee! Beautifully set up, so you can enjoy your morning without worrying about a grocery run. The grocery store is very close by though as are several restaurants to grab some quick food. The kitchen is a dream and you will have everything you need to meal prep. The pantry was awesome for storage. Used only two beds and those were comfy. Primary bathroom needs an update but still fine for an older home. Lots of antique furniture throughout the home. One of the sofas should probably be updated as it’s very hard, but again, still fine. Janet’s apartment is attached to the house, but she’s not intrusive at all. Security cameras are at the front door and back door. What a beautiful house.

Very Pleasant

Janet was very accommodating of our special request even though it was difficult for her. The neighborhood felt safe and parking is behind the house so the cars are also safe. It is on main street in downtown Lafayette so there is a lot of traffic, but we slept in a front bedroom and the traffic didn't interrupt our sleep. The back yard is very inviting; it is fenced and has a lot of shade and a large grassy area. The house is an older home that retains its charm but is updated to suit current lifestyles.

Beautiful historic home

The home is a restored historic home that is beautiful. The location is downtown and very convenient to shops, restaurants, and Walmart. The homeowner was very kind and helpful. I highly recommend if you need to stay in the Lafayette area.

The Mid-Century South

Well-kept example of a village residence in a small town of the early to mid-20th century South. Located with easy access to Civil War sites from the Chattanooga area to Atlanta. Chickamauga National Battlefield Park is 15 minutes driving distance. Supermarket and Walmart within 5 minutes. Spacious with full kitchen with new appliances, large living/media room and comfortable bedrooms. Owner is available for communication over any issue.

Cottage LaFayette

This seems to be a historic home which still has the charm. May seem dated to some, but that is a personal preference. Our stay was short but pleasant. Janet, the host and Oliver (her large poodle) were very friendly and welcoming. Beds were comfy, and all our needs were accommodated.

Loved it here!!!

This property was super cute and accommodating for my family, not far from anything we did during the week. There’s a renter that stays in a room downstairs but he was barely there. Janet was awesome and made sure we we were comfortable!! The back patio was awesome we spent a lot of time there. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Fantastic house and host

My two buddies and I stayed at the Cottage while day hiking a section of the Pinhoti Trail. The 3 bedroom 2 Bath was perfect for our crew.Cottage has a fine kitchen with a great set of cookware, generously supplied coffee station, and an assortment of spices.Around back is a huge yard with space to park vehicles off street and a large outdoor covered patio. There’s tables and seating for a large family to enjoy.After our daily hikes lasting from four to six hours, we were drawn to the large back patio to relax and enjoy the afternoons. We were surprised at how much time we spent in this outdoor living area.Highly recommend this house and host!

Great house! Great host!

We stayed 3 nights at the historic home and were so pleased! The house is a gem, everywhere we looked there was another beautiful item or antique! Can't say enough about the comfort of the home, especially the master bedroom! The bed is awesome! Will stay again if we get to visit Chattanooga area and battlefield again. Hostess is wonderful to deal with and her dog is so sweet! Thank you Janet!

Holiday Stay

My husband and I stayed at this charming home over the Christmas holiday so that we could visit my daughter and her husband who live close to LaFayette. The house was extremely clean and exactly what you would expect from a home built at that time period. We absolutely loved it! The beds were so comfortable. The host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with when we needed. We will be staying here again and would recommend to anyone wanting a nice, clean and comfortable place to stay that is close to Chattanooga but quiet and relaxing.
