Armeni Seaside Villa - con servicio de barco privado!

¡Adéntrate en el alma de la caldera alojándote en esta hermosa y espaciosa villa, ubicada en la Bahía de Armeni, la joya escondida de Oia! Se accede a pie a través de 300 escalones o mediante nuestro servicio privado de botes. ¡Perfecto para aquellos con una mente y energía aventureras!

La villa consta de cuatro niveles. El primer nivel cuenta con una espaciosa y acogedora sala de estar y comedor, con vista a la terraza y la deslumbrante caldera. Además, en la planta baja hay una cocina grande, moderna y totalmente equipada (placas de cerámica, horno, lavavajillas y nevera grande). El segundo nivel consta de dos baños y un dormitorio con una cama king size que da al patio trasero, donde hay un tercer baño y una sala de lavandería. En el tercer nivel, hay dos dormitorios con camas king size y frente a la terraza superior de la casa, que comparte magníficas vistas sobre la caldera. El cuarto nivel de la casa, es un loft abierto con una cama king size. La terraza privada justo en el paseo marítimo es perfecta para relajarse con un buen libro, tomar el sol y disfrutar de comidas caseras. La playa en frente de la casa es una playa de guijarros volcánicos perfecta para nadar y hacer excursiones en kayak a las pequeñas bahías cercanas. Ofrecemos los kayaks! Además, siempre puede caminar hasta el pueblo de Oia y disfrutar de los sitios locales allí, o alquilar un automóvil y explorar el resto de Santorini. Esta villa y su ubicación son muy especiales y son ideales para los amantes del mar y las personas que buscan escapar de las presiones de la vida rápida.

Esta villa renovada con buen gusto se encuentra en un lugar verdaderamente único de la caldera, al pie del acantilado donde se encuentra Oia. Se encuentra en la pequeña y pintoresca bahía de Armeni, que solo cuenta con unas pocas casas, un restaurante y un muelle donde atracan los yates privados. La villa se encuentra a pocos pasos de las brillantes aguas azules. Lo que hace especial a Armeni Bay es que no se puede acceder en automóvil. Las dos opciones para acceder a la bahía de Armeni son las siguientes: 1) Hay un camino de 300 escalones que une este pequeño puerto con el centro de la aldea de Oia. Es una caminata de 15-20 minutos a través de pasos. Tendría que estar razonablemente en forma y hacer ejercicio para estos pasos. 2) Tenemos nuestro propio barco privado y capitán, para transportar a nuestros huéspedes, al momento del check in, check out y durante su estadía. Ofrecemos este servicio (incluido en el precio de la casa) para poder acomodar a los huéspedes que no están dispuestos a usar los pasos. Desde la bahía de Armeni, el barco te dejará en la bahía de Ammoudi. La bahía de Ammoudi, también es una pequeña bahía con restaurantes de mariscos. Sin embargo, también es accesible en coche, ya que hay una carretera adecuada. Desde la bahía de Ammoudi puede usar su automóvil / scooter / vehículo todo terreno o tomar un taxi para explorar el resto de la isla. Está a solo 2 minutos en coche del pueblo de Oia. En el pueblo de Oia, encontrará una gran variedad de tiendas y restaurantes.

Great Stay in Armeni Bay

Our family of 5 adults enjoyed our stay at Nicolette’s home in Armeni Bay. The home is as described, but not quite as glamorous as the photo shoot displayed. Some would have preferred a stay in Oia with a more glamor and ease. The others loved the proximity to the water and the privacy the location provided. The description of the transportation to Oia (other than the 300 steps) was correct, just not recognized by us for what it truly was. Our lovely Captain, Themis was there to boat us to Amoudi Bay which has some nice restaurants but…. Getting to Oia was a pain. Since we did not have a scooter or car, we had to rely on a taxi or private driver. The transportation up and down (4 miles) cost at least $50 each time. Nicolette is happy to arrange any type of transportation but it is costly. I’m writing all of this because I want anyone who books this home to know what they are getting into. Now that I know, I WILL be coming back - just doing the transportation differently. I do recommend that you spend the money for her to arrange for your airport transfer. They will stop at the grocery store which is a necessity for basics if you don’t want to eat every meal out. They provide all the coffee you need for the time. The highlights of our trip other than the absolute beauty of the Island were: Themis - so accommodating and a wonderful person, Our two days of private boating with Miltos of My Blue Cruises, and the restaurant at Armeni Bay which was amazing.

Amazing experience

We absolutely loved staying in this gorgeous home. It was super comfortable, clean and just such an amazing location. We felt far enough away from crowds to be totally relaxed, but close enough to pop up to Oia when we felt like it. We spent our days relaxing on the porch, swimming, fishing and just watching the beautiful scene in front of us. We miss it!! Thanks for having us to stay! Highly recommended!

Can't recommend enough!

If you want an incredibly unique, one-of-a-kind stay, with peace and quiet but full access to all that the island has to offer.... Look no further! Christina and her team (Capn Thimus and Tour guide Chris) were amazing throughout our visit. Prompt replies, easy to work with and just lovely people. The home itself was a fantastic abode with everything we needed (including comfy beds, soft towels and a fantastic location), but had a unique twist of it's secluded location. DEFINITELY not for the faint of heart (it's work getting up those stairs!!!!) but highly recommend for a unique stay on an incredible island

Fantastic Stay

We had an amazing time staying at the Armeni villa! The house itself is breathtaking and the proximity to the bay meant that the ocean was at our doorstep. Having the private boat access was incredibly convenient for arrival/departure, as well as to get to Oia without having to take the nearby stairs. Alex was always on call and went out of her way to help us organise ATVs at short notice, which was much appreciated. The house was very clean, with lots of little touches that made our stay more comfortable and convenient. A massive thanks to Alex and family, as well as Themis the captain for making our stay so magical. We would highly recommend holidaying here and would love to return someday!

Armeni Bay perfection

We are so happy we made the choice to stay in Armeni Bay at Nicoletta’s lovely house away from the hoardes of Santorini. The house is delightfully decorated and furnished, impeccably clean. Themis the boat man was fantastic at looking after us and Alexandra met us and showed us everything about the property and was very responsive. The housekeeper came every 2 days to change towels, clean up and remove rubbish. We managed the stairs a few times during our stay and enjoyed the most fabulous swimming directly in front, watched the super yachts come & go. Ate at the lovely & hilarious Armeni fish restaurant a few times as well as the amazing Vineyart in Oia town. My one tip is to do a good shop - especially water before you arrive at the house so you don’t have to buy and carry once there. We had a rental car that we left on the road at Ammoudi Bay and that was very handy. Thanks everyone we had a fantastic stay.

Fantastic House & Location

From the moment we arrived at the dock to board the boat to the house to the charming little enclave on the bay. The steps to the village above was a nice walk to wonderful restaurants,shops, & views of the calidron. Yachts came & went, the water was gr8 for swimming. The restaurant located on the beach was spectacular & welcoming. Would return again in a minute. The host, boat driver, & car were all great & went the extra mile always for us.

Perfect holiday

What a fantastic find. The villa was wonderful. A perfect location with amazing views. The sea literally outside was crystal clear and felt like silk! Captain Alex and his boat were definitely needed as I have recently had a knee op so couldn’t do the steps but nothing was too much trouble. We ate at the Armeni restaurant next door every other evening and the food/ staff were lovely. Thanks Nicoletta- your communication was excellent and you made everything including transfers very easy. We would love to return in the future.

I agree with every other review we read before we booked this wonderful Seaside Villa (read David P.’s review, he captured it almost perfectly, among all of the others!). Nicoletta and family treated us like royalty. The bedrooms were all a good size, the bathrooms all had good showers and space, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook any meal (we made many), and the terrace, where we spent most of our time, was paradise. We are a family of 4, 2 parents and 2 young adults, so it was a perfect size for us, but there was much more space I felt like we didn’t use and it could accommodate another 4 people. Nicoletta was very helpful while planning our time there, her recommendation for Sailing tour was our favorite activity and well worth the expense! The boat service back and forth to Amoudi bay made the transition from the busier Oia to the calm and peaceful Armeni Bay extremely easy (thank you, Alex!). In addition, we did enjoy the Armeni Restaurant and it was one of our highlights, as a ‘neighbor’ they treated us like family. The steps are strenuous but the views on the way up and down are unlike any you will find on the island. We also enjoyed watching the yachts come and go into Armeni Bay and using the paddle boards and kayaks available to relax and enjoy the bay. We highly recommend this to anyone wanting to visit and enjoy all of what Santorini has to offer.

A wonderful way to experience Santorini

Armeni is located seaside which in my opinion is perfect. You can climb the stairs and experience pretty (but crowded with tourists) Oia. Nicoletta is a terrific host and anticipates any and all questions you might have. We definitely will stay at the Villa again!

Tout était parfait !

Nous revenons d'une semaine passée à Armeni Bay et nous sommes vraiment ravis de notre séjour. La maison se situe sur une petite plage privée, très calme. Seuls les yachts qui accostent sur le ponton pour la nuit font un peu d’animation, mais ne nous ont jamais dérangé. Il est très facile de s'y baigner, même pour des enfants. Attention les chaussures de plage antidérapantes sont indispensables (vous en trouverez à Oia si besoin). Il y a aussi un restaurant à côté si vous n’avez pas envie de cuisiner. Pour rejoindre Oia, on met environ 15 minutes à monter les marches. Côté services, rien à redire. Nicoletta parle un français parfait. Elle a organisé notre transfert depuis l’aéroport (avec arrêt au supermarché pour faire les courses) et nous avons été accueillis par ses filles qui se sont montrées disponibles toute la semaine pour nous conseiller et organiser nos sorties. La location de la maison inclut les transferts en bateau depuis Amundi Bay. Alex, le capitaine, qui loge à côté de la maison et sera disponible en cas de besoin, propose aussi des balades en bateau pour voir le coucher de soleil ou pour aller rejoindre un autre lieu de baignade. Des canoés sont aussi à disposition. La mer est très calme dans la baie et on peut donc en faire sans difficulté. Enfin, le ménage de la maison est assuré tous les deux jours. Pour conclure, nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans cette maison et nous avons été impressionnés par la qualité des services apportés avec la location. Un grand merci !

Paradise

Property was ideal (good size rooms and lovely views) and in such a wonderful location. You could swim or kayak from the property. Very peaceful with an exceptional restaurant about 100 yards away or you could ask to be taken to the next bay by the very obliging helmsman. The steps to the town are not impossible and we managed them on most days.

We loved our stay at Armeni Seaside Villa. The amenities were perfect and boat service was great! We loved the quiet and tranquility of Armeni Bay. The Villa was very well kept and we had everything we needed in the Villa to make us feel at home. Being by the water was a plus and being able to get out and swim or kayak was relaxing. Having the boat service available was an added bonus for those days when we did not want to hike the stairs. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the ocean, this is the place to be!

A rare gem on Santorini

Nicoletta and her daughters, Alexandra and Christina, made the trip very straightforward. They arranged for a shuttle service to meet us at the airport and drive us to Ammoudi Bay where Alexandra and Christina were waiting to escort us to the boat and on to Armeni Bay about 5 minutes away. The villa was ideal for our family of 5, which included 3 teenage children. The 3 main bedrooms were air conditioned but not the bedroom located in the upper loft space, which was the only disadvantage. The house is literally only about 5 metres from the sea and although the water gets deep quickly, it is rocky to enter so we benefitted from having brought lightweight swim shoes. There is a stepped pathway from Armeni bay to Oia above, which was quite challenging but not too bad for us and so we tended to climb these steps about once a day. At other times, we simply sent the boat captain, Alex, a text message to arrange a pick-up and he took us to Ammoudi bay where you could make an easier climb to Oia by foot on the road side (or could park a rental car if you wanted). The good news was that the relative inaccessibility of Armeni Bay by foot made it much quieter for enjoying the water and gave it much more of a traditional feel than the busy tourist spots while still being very convenient. There seem to be few such spots on the Island. There are a few small supermarkets in Oia where we stocked up on provisions using backpacks and then generally took the steps back down. The kitchen was well equipped so it was easy for us to eat at home. There is a quality seafood restaurant in Armeni Bay, although we did not use it and chose to have dinner a couple of times in Oia instead. There is a good bus service from Oia to the capital, Fira, from where you could get buses to other parts of the Island. We found the buses comfortable and quite frequent, but not according to timetable! Alexandra and Christina recommended the cliff top walk from Fira back to Oia, which we completed in about 3 hours after a day in Fira. Also on their advice we took one of the several semi-private Catamaran tours on offer, and were glad we did. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone who enjoys swimming and spending time on the water (kayaks and snorkelling equipment were provided) and who feel able for at least taking the steps down.

A little bit of paradise.

We had the most wonderful week in this villa. The property is spotless and incredibly well equipped. The rooms were very comfortable. Having the use of the kayaks was a huge bonus, also having the use of the boat and Alex at hand to help out was fantastic and greatly appreciated. The steps up to Oia are quite hard going (mainly because they are rather uneven, but so long as you have sensible footware and are relatively fit, you'll be fine) If you take the boat to Ammoudi Bay, the steps from there are much nicer (not quite so slippery) and the trip in the boat adds to the fun. Boats of sunset searchers come in from about 4 in the afternoon and that is when the path is full of donkeys, which can make for a tricky walk, but other times it is very straightforward. The restaurant in Armeni Bay serves good fresh food and is quite reasonably priced compared to some up in Oia. Oia is stunning and definitely worth visiting but is so full of people waiting for the sunset that is was lovely to escape back down the path to our little piece of paradise! Dealing with Nicoletta and her daughters was a delight, they organised our transfers and gave us lots of local information so we could really make the most of our holiday. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone without hesitation.

I am from Athens, however I have very close ties with two beautiful Greek islands Santorini and Patmos.

As my father’s family is from Santorini I spent all my summers there. Since I am a licensed tour guide, in 2004 I decided to move to Santorini in order to work there. This was a great chance to start renovating my family’s properties in order to be able to share them with people from all over the world.

In addition, many years ago, my mother visited the island of Patmos, fell in love with it and decided to buy two beautiful pieces of land, including very old farmhouses in ruinous condition, that she slowly renovated. In this way, our family and numerous friends enjoyed many unforgettable Patmos Easters and summers. Nowadays, I am responsible for the good condition of the houses that I rent out and share the beauty and special ambiance of this island with our guests.

I am very lucky since my twin daughters, Alexandra and Christina, having completed their studies abroad in hospitality management and tourism, returned to their roots in order to continue and develop what I started. Genuine hospitality, love and respect for the island, as well as the embracement of the local culture define our core values. Nowadays we all share our time between Santorini, Patmos and Athens, and have the honor and pleasure to share our family’s story and our love for these islands, with visitors from all over the world.
