Best home we have ever rented

We travel a lot and rent a lot of places. This is by far the best place we have ever rented. I cannot say enough good things about it, and the pictures are not even a little bit misleading like many vacation rentals show. Mireia is a very responsive host and also gave us many good suggestions. We did pretty much everything she suggested! We were able to disconnect and truly enjoy ourselves with the choice of being just to ourselves or at the beach - which was not crowded at all. We had everything we needed at the house and with the market, groceries and other businesses about a 7 minute drive away. Our only regret is that we did not rent it for longer. (We were there for 2 weeks). We were sad to leave and will definitely repeat!!

Fenomenal!

Que descubrimiento! Estamos enamorados con la Beachouse. El chalet es una maravilla y tener Cala Xelin a tus pies es una gozada. Mi lugar favorito es la terraza alta con vistas al mar dĂłnde tumbarte a tomar el sol en total libertad. A mi marido lo diĂĄfana que es la finca y no tener que coger el coche para ir a la playa! A nuestros hijos adolescentes les encantĂł tener su propio espacio con internet en la guesthouse, lo grande que era la piscina y encontrarse un futbolĂ­n! Volveremos!

Hemos pasado una semana muy agradable. La casa es tal y como aparece en las fotos. Pros: la zona de la piscina y la sensaciĂłn de intimidad que tienes en todo momento. En 5 min en coche hay calas de arena muy buenas. A 1 min andando hay una cala de piedras. Contras: las persianas, entra mucha luz al amanecer y las almohadas un poco duras.

Excepcional propiedad

Pasamos 5 dĂ­as fantasticos en familia; la casa es aun mejor que en las fotografias, la ubicaciĂłn privilegiada. Lo mejor de todo es que hubo un malentendido que se solucionĂł gracias a la profesionalidad de la gestora y la calidad personal de Mireia (la propietaria). Recomendable al 1000. Loved the place!

Thank you Mireia for sharing your amazing Villa. We had such a fantastic time. Being so near the beach was such a privilege!! Highly recommended for families like us but I could also see myself coming down to Spain with a group of friends and enjoying the good life for a long weekend.

A great place to disconnect

Loved the place, it's a feel good house. Imagine a modern white cubist villa set among olive trees, with a big pool to cool you down from the Spanish sun and the beach at the end of the garden. That's where we stayed. It was very well equipped, inside and outside ( think powerful Air Con and double wooden chaise lounges for everybody ). It was peaceful, quite and pure with the sea waves as your background sound. The beach "Cala Xelin" literary 1 min walk away . A delightful Cala with clear water ( we never saw more than 10 people when we went there ). There are 2 more beaches walking distance "Estany Tort ( sandy beach) and Cala Torrent del Pi ( pebbles)". Loved the wilderness of Cala Torrent Pi. * worth doing is the trekking along the coast path called GR and also hirering a little boat to discover all the Calas in L'Ametlla de Mar. * worth eating in town for seafood and Bluefin tuna sashimi ( apparently is a speciality as the town houses one of the major Tuna exporters in Spain, run by a local family!) We were looking for a retreat away from the tourist trail and we found it. For that I'm grateful, as is such a rare treat when you find it. Rasmus

Perfect!

Everything was perfect. The house is beautiful. It is comfortable with a chilling out vibe which goes with hols with children so well. It is sophisticated and modern, with different ambient for the "aperitivo", coffee or G&T time in the pm. The pool and the garden/olive grove take you to your happy place. However, what made the biggest impression on me was to have such an intimate beach so close to us. We got up in the mornings, grabbed our mug of coffee and walked to the beach to see the morning sea. It is magic. The house is well equipped. It is very well thought through and designed. A real pleasure to the senses. Mil thanks to Mireia and her mother who looked after us beautifully. Underbart strandnÀra hus med ostört lÀge

Vi Ă€r en familj pĂ„ 5 pers, som bodde i huset under en vecka frĂ„n mitten av juni. Huset Ă€r lĂ€ttillgĂ€ngligt frĂ„n motorvĂ€gen, nĂ€ra l’Ametlla del Mar, men har Ă€ndĂ„ ett lugnt och ostört, naturnĂ€ra lĂ€ge. Det var trevligt och smakfullt inrett, med mysiga sĂ€llskapsytor och hade en vacker utsikt mot havet frĂ„n övervĂ„ningen och takterrassen. Barnen uppskattade den stora och vĂ€lskötta poolen, men det fanns Ă€ven en vacker strand med runda smĂ„ stenar nedanför huset och flera fina, barnvĂ€nliga sandstrĂ€nder inom nĂ„gra minuters avstĂ„nd med bil. Vi var positivt överraskade över hur vĂ€lskött och rent det var pĂ„ strĂ€nderna och omgivningarna. L’Ametlla del Mar har en charmig hamn och flera trevliga restauranger. Vi blev varmt vĂ€lkomnade vid ankomst av Carmen och fick bra tips pĂ„ restauranger och dylikt. Ägaren Mireia var snabb och alert pĂ„ att svara pĂ„ frĂ„gor via mejl, bĂ„de före och under vĂ„r vistelse och vi var överlag vĂ€ldigt nöjda och kan varmt rekommendera huset.

A cool & relaxing place to enjoy your holidays

We loved the villa with its cool presentation and design. Top notch on cleanliness. Great outdoor area with the gourgeous chaise longues & swimming pool. Perfect location ( the villa is situated on top of 3 beautiful an unspoiled little beaches or Calas, as they call it over there; they are like the ones in Mallorca but without the overcrowding ), a real treat to be able to walk to them too. At certain parts of the day, we had the beach to ourselves. So mass tourism hasn't reach this corner of the Med yet. Lets hope it stays that way as it was great to experience that. For shopping, restaurants, etc, it's a 3 min car ride into town. We found all we needed there and we were spoilt for choice on tapas bars. Delicious seafood and paellas, ask Mireia for recommendations like we did, to go straight to the good stuff. All in all, quality v price, very very happy and satisfied. STUNNING VILLA ON THE BEACH

We had a fabulous week at the Beachouse. We were captivated by the house since we first saw it on the web and it didn't disappoint. One of the best villas we've been to. Well catered for, beautiful surroundings and a stunning house to live in. The kids absolutely loved it too. Their favourite things: "the swimming pool & the bunk beds". An important factor for us was being near the sea and it couldn't have been better. You just strolled down 100 meters an you were in the beach. Most morning an empty beach all to ourselves! A rare find indeed. We thoroughly recommend it if you are looking for a peaceful retreat by the sea. Dealings with the owner were swift and helpful. We hope to repeat next year. Al the best, Cameron

Good times! 5 STARS *****

We had a wonderful wonderful time in the Beachouse. Beautiful settings, gorgeous house, charming Mediterranean village. The Villa was set with its own private land around it ( all fenced ) on an underdeveloped costal stretch. We were not in a complex with other villas, which was a real treat ! for privacy, no noise and freedom. Yet, you were 5 minuts drive to Ametlla village for all your essentials. We all loved it, the kids could run around free among the olive trees and jump in the pool tirelessly. The adults, well, we didn't want to leave the place! One to keep in our holidays destinations list. We will be back!

We discovered the Beachouse and we LOVED IT!!

Such an amazing Villa, so cool and so different from the previous ones we have been to. It felt special. Gorgeous pool and outdoor area, surrounded by olives trees and with the sound of the sea in the background. Delicious! Fantastic beaches in your doorstep; directly by foot you have a sandy one, a pebble one and your own personal creek! All presented in mint condition, very clean and with attention to detail from the welcoming owners. We swam, sunbathed, rested, we went snorkelling, canoeing, trekking in the costal path, we cooked a paella outdoors, we went for tapas, we went dancing,.. Worth mentioning, the local produce in Ametlla ( yummy seafood and bluefin tuna ) *We were 7 of us ( 2 families with kids ) and we loved it. Thank you so much.

ein wundervolles haus an einem sehr schönen Ort!

wir haben eine super Ferienwoche im beachhouse verbracht.die gastgeber haben an alles gedacht und man fĂŒhlt sich sofort zuhause.das haus ist in Wirklichkeit noch schöner als auf fen fotos-jedes detail stimmt und man kommt nicht aus dem trĂ€umen und dies trotz 2 regentagen.wir waren zu 9 ,2 eng befreundete Familien und das sollte man sein denn 1 der Zimmer ist nur durch ein anderes erreichbar.man fĂŒhlt sich so wohl dass man gar nicht woanders essen will! wir können das beachhouse wĂ€rmstens empfehlen!!!(einzig je nach wind hört man ein wenig die Autobahn was uns aber nicht gestört hat, da man abends und im Bett die Brandung hört! herzlichen dank mireia und carme! anja u. co.

Just perfect!

What a beautiful place. Even better than expected! We told Mireia that the pictures in the website don't make justice to how cool the Beachouse is in real life. The location of the Villa is as describe on top of the beach; you wake up and just stroll for 80 meters and you are there; ( the 3 walking distance beaches where not overcrowded at all and you could choose between sandy ones or pebble one ). The villa is surrounded by land in all side, packed with olive trees. No neighbouring villas overlooking you, so it felt very private and tranquil and more importantly for us with small kids was that the whole perimeter was high fenced securely so we could let the children run free whilst we sunbathe. All was very clean when we arrived and Carme made us feel really welcome during the check in. We adored the house, so modern yet vintage; minimalist and light, but fully equip with everything we need it ( coffee machine, kettle, etc..). Loved the polish concrete walk in shower! The  outdoor area with the double hammocks ( enough for everybody which is unusual in rentals) and the beautiful swimming pool a real treat.  One of the best we've been to. The pool was degrading on depths so the children could stay on the shallow end ( 1 meter ) to splash about and the eldest could dive on the deeper end ( 2 meters deep). Activities we did: beach days with snorkelling, swimming and fishing, Canoeing ( Mireia organised to have the canoeing rental team to drop the boats at the Beachouse, we rented 5 of them for half a day, we took them down to the beach and explored the creeks and beaches around us, real fun, the kids and adults loved it ), a day in Port Aventura ( 25 min by direct train from LAmetlla ) and trekking through the costal path. We also thoroughly enjoyed sampling the local cuisine, spent half the week nights dinning tapas and seafood paellas in town. Honestly, 10 out of 10. Thank you so much. We thoroughly recommend it. Unos dĂ­as de relax, inmejorables!

Es la primera vez que vamos a la Beachhouse, es un lugar tranquilo y hermoso. La casa es muy bonita, confortable, moderna y muy bien presentada. La terraza con piscina es espectacular. Como en un hotel pero mås intimo. La zona es muy tranquila y nada masificada. La reserva fue muy sencilla a través de Mireia y ante cualquier duda nos atendió muy bien. Repos et Farniente!

La propriété est située dans un endroit magnifique et tranquille, entourée d'oliviers avec un chemin privé direct à la plage, qui donne sur une magnifique petite crique. La maison est trÚs bien pensée, confortable et facile d'entretien; Le village d'Almettla est trÚs agréable avec des petits commerçants trÚs sympathiques. ABSOLUT BEAUTIFUL !!! best holidays ever! ! ! !

The beachouse was unbelievable ! Absolutely fantastic ! It has everything u wish for to spent a quiet and most relaxing holiday ! We were eight friends that stayed for seven days in the beachouse. Neither of us did miss a thing. We all agree that we couldn't have had a better holiday anywhere else than there! A modern refuge in a wonderful little dessert. –the house is modern and has everything u need to make u feel comfortable at the first sec. also very clean and tidy –the rooms are just fine –the pool is amazing and clean and just perfect. –when it gets dark u can turn on the light under the olive trees and everywhere around the area. the pool also is illuminated. –the sunbeds at the pool were our favorite place the whole week. –the area round the house is very beautiful and the near beach is absolutely fine (if u manage to leave this amazing house) –the sunsets from the rooftop terrace is breathtaking –the quietness and seclusion is very relaxing and still u just need some minutes to go shopping In the end I can honestly say that we will come back ! The owner is very polite and courteous and helpful ! so thx for everything and till next year

Upon inheriting the 100 years old Little Olive Farmhouse, the Beachouse was born in 2013.

We are a family with young kids that wanted to create with the renovation of the old farmhouse a stylish but fun place where to disconnect from our busy lives. A retreat where to go back to basics.
Peace, quiet, nature, sun, sea and fantastic food & wine from the local area.

We also wanted to share the space with fellow families and travellers in search for that authentic Mediterranean expierience and so The Beachouse was born and open to the public.

As we ourselves live abroad, we have a dedicated Team that looks after the Property & Guests and our priority is always for our guests to have a great experience!

I remain the point of contact for bookings and I’m always happy to accommodate any request and suggestions as well as letting you know the best places to eat!
