Cottage Crescent Moon Histórico del Distrito

Deléitese con los encantos de Crescent Moon Cottage, una cabaña completamente remodelada de 1940 en el distrito histórico, a solo unas cuadras de distancia de toda la acción en el centro de Mt. Dora. Tiene el encanto del pasado y las comodidades de hoy en día.      Disfrute de una escapada relajante, en el totalmente amueblado, 2 dormitorios, un baño, 1100 pies cuadrados de casa de campo. Comienza tu día con una taza de café en la encantadora porche cerrado o en el patio trasero privado. Estire las piernas con un seis cuadras a pie al centro de la ciudad. Echa un vistazo a las boutiques y tiendas, comer en uno de los cafés, bares y restaurantes. Observe a los vecinos pasear por un banco en Donnelly Park, vea la puesta de sol sobre el lago en el monte. Dora Lighthouse, o vea una obra en el Ice House Theatre.

The location is perfect—close enough to walk downtown, but not in the middle of the crowds. The area felt very safe. The cottage is beautiful, with lots of fabulous antique pieces and decorations. We were pleasantly surprised by the Christmas details, even pine-scented hand soap! The atmosphere was lovely and peaceful. We will definitely come back.

Our host was great, the home was nicely appointed with a pretty & cozy decor. It was 5 blocks to the heart of downtown making it an easy stroll to good food & shopping. They already have the Christmas lights up & the downtown area is gorgeous when the sun starts to fade.

Our stay at the Crescent Moon Cottage was a delight and the second we opened the door we were amazed! This cottage was something you would see out of Better Homes and Gardens, it was beautiful and charming! It was clean, smelled good and all the details were there to make our first visit to Mount Dora perfect. Check in was easy, instructions to the property were simple, advice on local business/restaurants were provided, the list goes on! You can tell that a lot of thoughtfulness has been put in place, to make this cottage a relaxing and comfortable place to stay for all guests. It was also great to be walking distance to the main downtown area. I’m happy I chose The Crescent Moon Cottage and look forward to staying there again!

Check in was very easy and communication was excellent. Everything was in working order and all the essentials were provided. A short walk to downtown made this a great place to stay. Would recommend for any family!

Cute place but needs attention

While visiting family, a friend and I stayed at this property for five nights. Be aware that it’s on the corner of a fairly busy intersection. It’s a cute place with some fun decor. The beds were comfortable and all bedding was crisp and clean, and there was an ample supply of nice bath towels and wash cloths. The home was clean enough but it seems to have been some time since it had a really thorough cleaning.The kitchen was rather sparsely stocked, the lazy Susan cupboard was broken, and the supplied frying pans should have been replaced some ago. When I contacted the owner regarding a couple of issues, she was responsive and came over quickly to check things out.

Cute cottage home

The home is so cute and clean and they provide all the necessities for a short stay. The home was completely renovated and has a welcoming and comfortable feel. If you want to be close to everything in Mount Dora, this is a great location. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs because there are loud delivery trucks traveling early into Mount Dora and the walls are thin.

Lovely Home!

This home was truly lovely. It is an older home, but beautifully decorated and comfortable. There is an out door area with table if you like to sit outdoors. Kitchen was well equipped. Lovely bathroom. It was close to downtown MT Dora. We walked to restaurants and shopping. We are in our 70s. Easy walk. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely historic cottage

The house was very clean and well stocked. Beds were comfy and linens nice. Furnishings were a beautiful blend of country chic and antiques. The owner took great care in decorating. Location about 6 short blocks to the center of Mount Dora by sidewalks. Only con (which doesn’t reflect on the house itself) is the intersection can be noisy. A noise machine enabled a good nights sleep.

The Best!

Great location, just a few blocks from downtown, everything was clean, neat and the home had all you needed. Beds were comfy and the yard had a cute patio are as well. Loved the decor, very cozy! Only downside were the steps to go into the house. If you need help walking or have bad knees or hips it could be a problem for you. I would absolutely stay here again@

Christmas in Mount Dora

This is the second time we stayed at the Crescent Moon but hopefully not our last. Everything was clean and homey great for the Holidays as it was for our previous working vacation. We were locked out at one point and called Debbie. This sounds like an exaggeration but it isn’t., within 3 minutes their truck comes in and fixed the problem. This was during the Holidays incredibly good service.

Although my husband and I grew up in Central New Jersey, we raised our three children in South Florida. For a period of time, the family was spread along the east coast from Florida to Connecticut. It wasn't until 2012, when the Navy transferred my son to Cape Canaveral, that we thought, this would be the perfect opportunity to re-locate to Central Florida. My youngest daughter was living in Orlando with her husband, and was attending UCF at the time. So, in December of that year, my husband and I moved from New Jersey to Eustis, FL and now, we enjoy our family being within driving distance of one another.

Since moving to Lake County we have fallen in love with the area especially, Mt Dora, just one town over. We love that there is always something happening on the 'Mount', from the festivals, to parades and races.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Since Mt. Dora fits our lifestyle, we decided it would be our retirement town. So a year or so ago, we started wandering the streets looking for the perfect neighborhood to purchase a retirement home. We wanted a small mid-century home in the Historic District, on the parade route, close to town, that provided cottage style living.

Last summer we found the perfect house sooner than we expected; the Crescent Moon Cottage. Although we didn't expect to buy our retirement home at this time, we decided it was exactly what we were looking for and we'd probably never get another opportunity to purchase it.

So in April 2014 we became the proud owners of the Crescent Moon Cottage.






Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Every time I enter the Crescent Moon Cottage, a sense of calm comes over me. I'm not sure if it's the morning sun streaming in, or the coziness and comfort of the sun porch, or maybe the beautiful wood floors reminding me of the house I grew up in, all I know is, when I'm there, I'm home. And you will be too.
