Exclusive Prado 2BD Retreat in Madrid. Huertas

Este precioso apartamento de dos dormitorios y dos baños se encuentra en pleno centro de Madrid, en la exclusiva Calle Huertas.

Al entrar en el apartamento nos encontramos un precioso hall de entrada desde donde accedemos al pasillo que distribuye el apartamento. A la izquierda está el área perteneciente al dormitorio principal, compuesto por una pequeña sala de estar con TV y sofá-cama, cruzando la misma llegamos al dormitorio compuesto por dos camas individuales y a un precioso baño en suite con bañera, amplio y elegante.

Volviendo al pasillo distribuidor, a la derecha accedemos al segundo dormitorio con cama de matrimonio y otro baño completo en suite con ducha. La cocina es el siguiente espacio que nos encontramos y está totalmente equipada con todo lo necesario, además es completamente independiente.

Al fondo del pasillo nos encontramos con un precioso salón de diseño, muy amplio, con zona de estar y zona de comedor. Es exterior dando a fachada a la calle Huertas. La altura de los balcones y las ventanas le dotan de mucha luz natural.

La ubicación del apartamento es magnífica, en pleno centro de la ciudad.

La reserva de cada alojamiento de Genteel Home conlleva el ofrecimiento de experiencias o actividades extras para mejorar su estancia, las cuales son gestionadas por proveedores externos, que las pondrán en su conocimiento a través de e-mail o Whats App, pudiendo usted contratarlas o rechazarlas. We had a great time. Apartment is located on Calle de Huertas which is lined with many shops and restaurants and is within walking distance of several famous plazas as well as the Gran Via. Host is very attentive and procured transportation to and from the airport (Not free).

The apartment was lovely and provided more than enough space for our family of 5 (all adults/teens). Check-in and check-out were easy and the location was very convenient to lots of restaurants, shops, Plaza del Sol, and the Prado.Two items to note --1) The secondary bathroom provides little to no privacy, as there is only art-adorned see-through glass separating the bathroom from the sleeping area.2) The apartment is over or adjacent to a nightclub that stays open very late. Some noise can be heard from the primary bedroom and living room, but it was not overly terrible.

Great area to get around very close to the Prado 3 minute walk. I would suggest having coffee and water apond arrival, since most people are coming in from a long flight.

Perfect location

The place was surprisingly big for being right in the middle of town. The balcony windows were wonderful to have open in the evenings to see the streets and get a breeze. The street below does get noisy at night, but you can’t hear it in the bedrooms. Genteel Home Apartments (the rental company) was very helpful - even helped set up pick up and drop offs at the airport - and gave us recommendations of places to eat. We could walk to the park and the art museum in less than 10 mins.

The apartment was in a great neighborhood, walkable to most of the things we wanted to see and do. It was nicely decorated and comfortable. Some of the furniture and bed linens were a bit worn. Although usually we were awoken by stairway noise and a pulsing base beat in the midnight/early am hours several times (from a club next door?)

Great apartment, great location and AMAZING property manager

First and most important, Catalina was wonderful to work with. She patiently answered my questions and arranged rides for us, no small task given we were a family of 4 adults with lots of luggage. Secondly, the apartment was both spacious and in a great location! We were able to walk everywhere, and had lots of great food options nearby. Only negative was the bar music one night but that could only be heard in one bedroom. Overall, we loved the apartment!

Perfect location and size for our family

This property exceeded my expectations in regards of location. We were in the heart of Madrid, across from the Prado museum and a short walk to many restaurants and sightseeing options. The property manager made the check in and check out process simple and were very available for questions and support. The apartment comfortably accommodated our family of five. I would rent this property again if visiting Madrid in the future.

The apartment is spacious and in a great location. Check in was easy and the facilities were as promised. Our daughter loved the secondary bedroom which would make an amazing primary suite if it had a king bed instead of two singles. The actual primary suite is much smaller and the a/c had trouble cooling it, but it was very hot in Madrid the week we were there. A fan would have been a welcome addition. The living room was much more comfortable, temperature-wise, but the noise from the trash trucks each night and the bar next door could be bothersome to light sleepers. Overall, it was a nice stay, but it may be time for the exterminators to come because we saw a few roaches the last night we were there.

Good and quiet location in the great Las Huertas street. Supermarket, bars and restaurants nearby. Huge apartment. Very comfortable for all of us. Nice thick and BIG towels One drawback is that the AC was a little weak on the back room.

Fantastic

Everything about this apartment was fantastic. Very clean and as the photographs show a high standard of accommodation. The location was great as well, close to many attractions and plenty of Tapas, bars and restaurants close by. Madrid is a great city and when I return this is where I will be booking.

Great location and host, photos not up to date

Apartment is very well situated - 10 min walk from train station. Host is fantastic and very communicative. Lots of great restaurants in the neighborhood. The downside is that the photos aren’t how we found the place / it is much more worn down, or less pristine, that you’d think from the pictures. I wouldn’t say anything was terrible, but it doesn’t quite look like what you see.

The apartment was beautiful!! perfect location

The property was spacious and clean. The openess and decor was wonderful!! Having a daughter of 22 the separate apartment like areas gave each of us our privacy. The two separate bathrooms were a plus. I would highly recommend this apt

Superb

The apartment was spacious( good for a family of 4 or two couples), clean and well equipped. It is located within a walking distance to most Madrid's attractions and Atocha train/metro station. Although the neighbourhood is busy at night, the bedrooms are in the back and nights are very quiet. There are hundreds of great restaurants in the area. The streets are safe.The management was great to deal with and I would highly recommend this property to anyone planning a visit to Madrid.

Perfect location in Madrid

The apartment was wonderful, with two complete suites and a large, comfortable living/dining room. Balconies overlook the walking street below, and there’s a terrific bakery around the corner. Bedrooms are quiet, since they’re in the back of the apartment, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We felt like locals, living two blocks from the Prado. Loved it!

We stopped in Madrid did a few days before a wedding . The location of the apartment is perfect - a short walk to the Prado. Botanical Gardens etc. The neighborhood is charming with lovely little cafes serving excellent food The apartment was spotless and ideal for two couples - with two en suite bedrooms Recommend!

Great vacation in Madrid !

We had a great stay in this property! The property was in a great location, with many restaurants and bars nearby. We were close to many of Madrids must see sites. Check in was smooth and fast. Property although as pictured it was weathered the storm of many visitors. Some updates are needed but that will not ruin any ones vacation. More towels are needed but the kitchen is well appointed and the washer was a plus. There is no dryer but with the heat, clothes dried within a couple hours

Highly Recommend

The apartment is exceptional - it has two separate suites that are both very private and a large, comfortable living room and dining room. The location is ideal - out the door are markets, cafes, bars, etc. Anything for food or drink you can find within a few blocks walking distance. About 3/4 of a mile walk is the Puerta del Sol and the metro station so easy to hop onto metro if needed! The host was very quick to respond, provided clear instructions for check in and was available to meet when we arrived. Highly recommend for a stay in Madrid!

The property is in a great location. Bedroom on the west side was prone to noise from the stairs and upstairs apartment making it difficult to sleep at night. For a 5-night stay, only 5 towels provided, and toiletries were not sufficient. Stains from previous stays were evident in the sofas and cushions. Deep steam cleaning is necessary for sanitation safety.

Location can't be beat

I think helpful to share that we are a family of 4 with two children: 12 and 8 year old daughters. Location of this VRBO can not be beat!! It is a block or so from the Prado and then maybe a 10 minute walk to the Palace and the Plaza Mayor. There is a VERY good tapas place (C&T) right outside the front door -- don't sleep on this one. 2 for 1 drinks and really friendly staff.The apartment was very well set up with a balcony that overlooked the action, kitchen with washer/dryer combo (takes a REALLY long time to do a load, so keep that in mind), and a ton of space to spread out. My only note (and this is probably more for families with small children) is that the main door is in the center of the apartment with one bedroom in the front of the apartment and the other bedroom in the back. You can not hear people in the back bedroom (which is probably perfect for anyone except those with children!). The apartment cools nicely in the summer, is quiet from street noise, and very clean. No issues at all with the apartment. Check-in and check-out was VERY easy. Someone from staff came to meet us and go over the keys, how to use the A/C, and tell us about the apartment (and let us check in 4 hours early after a train ride--which was SO appreciated). Overall: highly recommend this apartment (just make sure it fits your group's needs)

Great location, close to museums.

We enjoyed our stay. It was close to El Prado and Museo Reina Sofia. The street in front of the apt. is a popular pedestrian street so it is nice, but can be loud. Bedrooms are further away from street so noise was not a problem. We enjoyed having a market close by and had a couple of great dinners at Taberna El Sur de Huertas which was a few blocks away. I would just point out there are a flight of stairs to get to apartment so if you have a lot of luggage it can be a little of a challenge. Overall, great service from the management company. They were good to call and check on our arrival time since we were driving into Madrid and call us during our stay to make sure everything was well.

I'm going to try to be fair in my review, so: Location - 5/5 stars Space and Confort - 4.5/5 Bathroom Cleanliness - 3/5 (They have to do a better job especially in the small bathroom) General Cleanliness - 4/5 (It's time to change the pillows and check the towels) Kitchen - 4.5/5 Apto Maintenance - 3.9/5 (They have to take care of a lot of details inside the apto.) They have a really good and convince photos on their advertisement but they don't reflect the real condition. It could be a really nice apartment is they decide to do a better job keeping the apartment in good condition, as is shown in the photos. I'm not going to post my photos because I believe they deserve a chance to fix everything and give the people what they offer. Tha apartment is a gem that just need is care. Overall the staff is friendly and diligent.
