Great family vacation

We have a large (15 total) family. This place is perfect. Plenty of room and bathrooms! Well maintained and clean and beautiful view. The pool and hot tub were used daily and loved. Location is close to everything!

Had an amazing stay in a beautiful cabin with a wonderful setting. The staff was excellent and quick to respond to anything we needed. I definitely will be back again!

Great place for large gatherings

Kids loved it, property was great and kids loved pool and privacy . Really only complaint is the communication was pretty bad through the app, messages would go unanswered. You would have to call if you had a question.

Exceptional!

Everything was perfect! Responsiveness of staff for minor issue was almost immediate. My family rents every year somewhere in the Midwest/south. Twice recently our young kids had black bare feet within minutes of arrival. Not here!! It was spotless! The pool was awesome. The bedrooms are very large! The top floor king room also easily fit a queen air mattress for kids and the main king fit a double authentic for a kid. The bunk room has double bed bunks so nicely fit the teens who needed more than a single bed. The common space was exceptionally large and the basement level had plenty of seating and the pool table. We all agreed we’d rent this same place again I. The future. Close to many things.

Family fun

Our family had a wonderful time at this property. The 3 levels of the house provided space for everyone to have privacy. I would be in favor of a nice table n chairs by the pool instead of the picnic table. And if you are renting this house, be prepared for LOTS of steps. Too many for my husbands liking.

Great location. The pool was great. However…..there are bats living in the eaves. There was bat guano on the upper deck….so no relaxing morning coffee. I had to disinfect the tables & chairs on the lower patio by the pool. When I talked to the front desk I was told they knew bats were a problem, but they’re limited on how they can handle bats. Said they would send someone to “assess” if I wanted. I didn’t complain until the last day when it was out of control. I guess I expected some response other having someone come “assess” the situation - whatever that means. This chalet can sleep 16, yet it has a horribly inadequate kitchen, size-wise. I would not recommend it

Family Trip at Fireside Lodge

The property was beautiful and everything was just as it was described in the listing. All of the rooms were clean with ample supplies.The family spent a lot of time in the pool - it was the perfect size and not too deeep so all of the kids could enjoy it. Hot Tub was great!On the downside - the smell of the well water was sometimes overbearing. Walmart was just 10 minutes away, so we kept a supply of bottled water...including the gallon jugs that we used to make lemonade and to cook with. The Carbon Monoxide Monitor went off a number of times on the 3rd floor. My call to the office went unanswered. We called the next day and maintenence was quick to replace it. We also could not use the propane grill until the 2nd day - maintenance replaced that, too.Otherwise it was a great trip and we would definitely visit again.

A wonderful friends weekend

We really loved the house. It was very clean. All the blankets they provided were wonderful since it was a very chilly weekend. Everything was well stocked. The only thing that was a little difficult was since it froze both mornings the deck was very slippery. The steps need treads and small pin lights. And the basement definitely has a sewer smell. It looks like they might be having trouble with their leachfield. But the basement area is really very nice and the hot tub is huge. The pool looks great too if you came during the summer.

Amazing stay!

The property was beautiful and the home was perfectly spacious for our group of five couples and two teens. There are two bedrooms and one full bathroom per floor. The home is three floors. The bunk room offers full over full sized mattresses. There’s a lot of stairs in the home so if you bring a guest who has mobility issues, it’s something to keep in mind. The home was a short drive to hiking spots and other attractions. If you happened to forget to bring anything there is a Walmart close by as well. The property management was amazing. They were prompt with daily trash pick up and they stopped by to make sure the pool, hot tub and bbq grill were is working order and clean. Extremely friendly and helpful staff! The family had an amazing long weekend and there are talks of returning.

Weekend getaway

We chose this property for a weekend getaway from the challenges of the pandemic. One of the reasons we selected this site was because of the hot tub. Unfortunately, it did not work. We contacted the office and a few techs came out, the last one saying there was a problem and it would take an “expert.” We were never able to use the tub, which was very disappointing. So it didn’t turn out as advertised!

Great House, Huge Hottub

We’ve been renting cabins in the hocking hills region for a several years now and this place was one of the nicest. Beds were comfy, we had ample space, and the hot tub was literally the biggest non-commercial one I’ve ever seen. We fit 10 people comfortably in there. It didn’t affect our stay but just be aware that the Wi-Fi is very slow and most people had limited cell service. Just an FYI.

Beard family 2021 Gathering

This is our 4th year of gathering as a family with our adult children and their children. This was our best rental [our first stay with you] and it was great for all of us. We found the house to be very very clean and was well kept up. We did find the area by the hot tub a little dark for night time use and some low lighting would be helpful. It was hard making our way to the fire pit area at night as well.....we will bring more flash lights next year. Over all it was a GREAT trip for us all! Christine Beard

Good times

Great weekend - great place. Internet was slow with multiple people trying to join wireless - but a small inconvenience. Beyond this was as good or bette than advertised including great pool and hot tub.

Loved it!

We loved staying here. It was relaxing, quiet, and beautiful. The check-in was easy. All of the attractions were very close. The only negative thing I'll say is the basement bathroom/bedroom area smelled awful, like it had been flooded.

Spacious cabin with beautiful view and great location

Spacious cabin with beautiful view. Well equipped kitchen. Enjoyed large hot tub and pool table. Great location near many hiking trails. Friendly and helpful staff. Want to come back again in summer months for the outdoor pool.

It's not bad, but overpriced for what you get. And I hope you can get away with no Internet or Cell

Let me start by saying, the staff was super nice and I didn't complain about anything to the directly. That being said, it's not worth what I paid. The beds were sub-par at best and one was dipped significantly. The bottom bathroom shower smelled horrible almost like a sewer was backing up. The hot tub was okay, not as clean as I like but not so bad you couldn't go in it. Lastly, man the internet took me back to 2001 and first ever computer, I would go as far as saying there is no internet there even no it has "WIFI" its more like dial-up but technically its DSL I believe. Oh and the TV's three TVs one up in the big bedroom, Living room, and downstairs. You're not there for TV, but it would of been nice if all the rooms had a TV so you could separate and relax a little alone. All in all we had an okay time, and spent most of our days outside, but I wouldn't stay there again even if someone paid me. Also, we were there almost a full week and I was hoping to work (as everyone is remote ), but I couldn't do it there. If I were looking and wanting to stay here again, it would only be a weekend if its the only thing available.
