Cottage Croft tradicional con vistas al río Snizort - Portree, Isla de Skye

River View Cottage es una casa de campo de piedra tradicional construida en alrededor de 1910 y conserva todo su encanto original en el exterior, pero se ha modernizado internamente. La cabaña está separada y se encuentra en un entorno rural elevado, con hermosas vistas sobre el meandro del río Snizort. Situada a solo 5 millas de la ciudad principal de Portree, y a 10 minutos en coche de la terminal de ferry de las islas occidentales, la cabaña está idealmente ubicada para recorrer la isla. Con muebles modernos en todas partes, una acogedora sala de estar, cocina totalmente equipada (con mesa de comedor), baño con ducha. Dos habitaciones dobles y una individual. Jardín privado con amplia zona de aparcamiento. Ropa de cama y toallas.

Agnes and John were always quick to reply to each message, and very helpful when we needed support. The house is one of the cleanest we’ve ever had and the view is postcard perfect! Great window to look out when at home. We definitely recommend this property and them.Pls note, as Skye is very damp, there is some dampness to adapt to. But the heating and shower worked great! And line drying clothes on a windy Scottish day is something I recommend to everyone at least once!

Very clean, kitchen sufficient, simple without a dish washer. Good location to explore Skye. Heating worked in the morning and evening. We needed to put the heater on, it was cold and wet. Clothing needed to dry due to heavy rain. Shower was clinical and with shower curtain. Bed linnen was clean. Upstairs, the ceilings are very low!! People taller than 1.90m will have issues. Nice views.

Great property. Clean, affordable, good parking. I give it a 98%. 1 point off for not having a small clothes dryer, and 1 point off for the tiny shower (clingy shower curtain made it hard to shower) but we adapted and made do. Otherwise, a great place.

Cozy and quiet

Comfortable bed with nice bed linen. We found the address a bit confusing to find. Easy parking, although the turn into driveway is tight in one direction. Lovely view. Not far from Portree. Biscuits were nice but would have preferred real milk instead of sachets that were provided. Host was responsive.

Lovely peaceful cottage, great value for money

The cottage was sparkling clean and the views of the river were beautiful. There was everything you needed to cook with available and the co-op supermarket in Portree a 5 minute drive away is more than adequate. There are two bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs which is good if anyone has mobility issues. Everything worked perfectly including the heating, WiFi and shower. Tip: look out for the sign that says "Deas Graemar Croft no 4 Crepigill" by the road and keep driving, then you'll see the River View Cottage sign.

The River View Cottage in Skeabost

The River View Cottage on The Isle of Skye in very beautiful surroundings. It is remote and quiet, but easily accessible from the main road A850. The cottage is very clean with a wonderfully appointed kitchen for those who enjoy their home cooking. Turn left from the driveway on A850 and it's a 7 minute drive to Portree, with a large CO OP supermarket that carries a selection equal to a large city market. We will definitely stay in this cottage again, should we plan a 4th vacation to Skye.

Hidden Gem

This traditional Croft cottage was well apportioned and has a picturesque location. The kids Chen was well well stocked with the necessary pots, plates, etc. The only suggestion we had would be to increase the signage for the property on the road, by at least 20 times. The driveway is shared with a neighbor and the sign is easily overlooked. However, signage aside, you couldn’t hope to have a more gracious hostess than Agnes. She was prompt with all communications and checked to be sure we had settled in. Great stay and many happy memories.

I’ve enjoyed your lovely property it was a pleasure to stay in, we had everything that was needed and it was beautiful and clean. The location was great close run to Portree and easy travel to other locations we were interested in. The views were spectacular we will highly recommend this venue for other stays. A lovey cottage stay

This was the perfect stay for our Isle of Skye trip. It was clean, cozy and charming and the hosts were kind and accommodating. It had everything we needed and then some. We loved how cozy the living room was with the electric fireplace. In addition, waking up to the beautiful views and saying good morning to our sheep neighbors made it feel even more cozy. The location was prime since we weren’t far from Portree and other main sites. I would recommend saying here.

Lovely Cottage

We had a lively time at the River View Cottage. The host was easy to communicate with and made sure we were comfortable during out stay. The cottage was well appointed and we loved to 10 minute commute to Portree. This cottage is located within 30mins of most of the major attractions on Skye.

Excellent out of main town of Portree cottage

The cottage just out of Portree was an excellent home base for our family of four for three days on the Isle of Skye. The kitchen was very well-equipped and bedrooms were roomy. The shower was a little unusual but there were very good instructions on how to use it, so no issues with that at all. Ample parking. Agnes was great with communication and there were some cookies, coffee, tea and hot chocolate for us - which we enjoyed! We had a slight issue finding the place from the GPS directions were were given, but didn't take too long to find the right location. We had no problems at all with our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Girls tour of Scotland

Great location. SO GLAD we stayed here and not directly on Portree. Hosts were so helpful and the cottage is cozy, roomy and we’ll designed. Very comfortable for 4 adults. Perfect location for our home base 3 days in Isle of Skye.
