Liet es una gran casa en un entorno privado en la parte superior de la unidad arbolada de 100 metros en el corazón de la hermosa y tranquila campiña, pero no muy lejos de todas las comodidades. Desde cada parte de Liet hay impresionantes vistas de gran alcance de viñedos, girasoles, bonitos pueblos, castillos e incluso las montañas nevadas de los Pirineos que se pueden ver en la mayoría de los días. La renovación total de Liet se terminó en 2016 y se realizó con materiales y accesorios de alta calidad y se ha amueblado y decorado con buen gusto. La cocina está equipada con unidades de roble de alta gama, cocina de doble rango, extractor, encimeras de granito, nevera-congelador grande de acero inoxidable, lavavajillas, mesa de comedor, sillas y estufa de leña. El gran pasillo conduce a una sala de estar con estufa de leña y puerta que se abre a una terraza que rodea la mayor parte de la casa. Desde la cocina hay una segunda sala de estar / cómoda en la planta baja. Desde el pasillo hay un vestíbulo,
Lavadero con lavadora, etc. Guardarropa con w. C. Lavabo y ducha. También en la planta baja hay un dormitorio doble de aspecto 4 con una puerta que da a la terraza con una vista magnífica de la piscina y el hermoso campo de Gers. Arriba, un amplio rellano conduce a la cama 1, aspecto doble con vista a la piscina y al castillo de Mansencome, cama de matrimonio con baño privado con bañera con ruedas, lavabo w. C. Cama 2, impresionante vista también con armarios tradicionales y dos camas individuales. La cama 3 tiene una vista fabulosa de la piscina y el castillo, tiene una cama king-size y vestidor y la opción de baño al baño principal. El baño principal es grande y lujoso con dos lavabos, ducha grande, w. C.
Hay una piscina alarmada de 10mx4m recién instalada (2016) con grandes sombrillas y tumbonas y si el sol se calienta demasiado, tenemos áreas de sombra para sentarse. También hay un columpio, toboganes, juguetes y juegos disponibles para todas las edades y un área cubierta de abri para estacionar autos.

Wonderful house in great location

This has to be the best holiday rental we have had, as this is a well loved family home rather than just a holiday let. It’s fully equipped with everything you could need, has wonderful views and Marie Louise and Steph are very welcoming and helpful. We loved it so much we have bought a house nearby!

Fantastic Holiday

Fantastic holiday at this property - location is just stunning, M-L and Steph are so welcoming, and always on hand if you need anything - nothing was too much trouble which made it such a great holiday. Views are spectacular, weather was amazing and we were quite happy just being at the gite because it was so nice. Couldn't have asked for better and meant we all had a really wonderful holiday.

What an idyllic location and lovely hosts. We were a family of 5 adults and there was plenty of room with a bedroom to spare and great outside spaces. So peaceful and beautiful countryside surrounding the house with no real neighbours but no isolated either. We hope to make it back in the near future!

Unforgettable experience

Stunning and an absolute gem. Upon arriving we were struck by the view and serenity of the property. Situated on a hilltop with amazing views from every window and angle. M-L and Steph were absolute amazing hosts who went out of their way to take care of us (not just the property). This area of Gers is beautiful and not too busy, so we enjoyed driving around to all the quant villages to explore in the AM and enjoyed the stunning pool in the PM. Definitely goes down as on the top rentals we have ever had the pleasure of staying!!!

Perfect in every way.

The Gers is one of those delightful places where many people would love to live.A very rare unspoilt part of the country. We have been so lucky to find this jewel of a gem Liet. This house is much larger and more beautiful and so luxurious than the picture's show. My husband and l have so enjoyed relaxing by the pool , soaking up the breathtaking stunning views by day and unbelievable star gazing at night. The large terrace has also been a wonderful setting for our alfresco wining and dining. We adore this house so much,we will bring our family and friends here to experience this truly magical place. We cannot rate this house highly enough. We have had the most fabulous holiday here and will definitely be booking Leit next year.

One of the most beautiful settings for a holiday ever

Absolutely stunning location, huge skies, extensive views, cooling breeze, clean pool, many lovely sitting places, plenty of walking and cycling opportunities, as well as plenty of nearby villages for delicious lunches and Gascony wines. Marie-Louise and Steph are the loveliest hosts we have ever encountered, so welcoming and generous. They clearly love this place and put their heart and soul into it. M-L was also absolutely amazing at helping us negotiate all the uncertainty as to whether we’d ever make it with the virus lockdown only just lifting in time. Words can’t really describe how beautiful and wonderful this holiday was- helped by the most stunning stars (and comet!!!) on the last night! We will really miss this little piece of heaven. Thanks so much M-L and Steph.

The most heavenly holiday home...

It is so hard to know where to start with this magical place, because it is all spectacular! From the wonderful and very kind hosts, Marie-Louise and Steph and their incredibly thoughtful touches providing toys and delicious treats for us all on arrival, to breath taking 360 views of rolling vines and sunflower fields with the violet outline of the Pyrenees on the horizon to the gorgeous interiors! We explored beautiful Gers, but found it hard to tear ourselves away from the amazing dazzling pool, it's view and the many places to sit and relax, but always in style! The house was perfectly cool and we loved cooking with fresh produce on the Plancha enjoying a local wine watching the honey coloured sunsets, with swooping swallows, chirping crickets and sparkling stars appearing. We had such fun at the Lavarden night market but always happy to return to the peace and quiet of this super place and say goodnight to the adorable ponies. I could have stayed forever, I can see why everyone returns it's just so special. Thank you Marie-Louise and Steph for letting us share your piece of heaven, for looking after us and for the fantastic toys! We definitely hope to return.

Stunning surroundings and perfect holiday home

Our family had an amazing time at Liet, where you can have the most relaxing holiday or you can choose to be active and explore the beautiful area. The pool is very hard to leave though! Breathtaking views and so quiet. The house is immaculatly clean and tastefully decorated. Being large, it always felt spacious and cool. The owners, Marie-Louise and Steph, really were so helpful and thoughtful. Easy to communicate with, and provided us with lots of info and tips. Our kids really appreciated the floats for the pool, the ping-pong table and the bikes available. They also wanted to take the gorgeous horses home! Would recommend the lake at Castéra-Verduzan, (inflatable assault course, pedalos, etc) 20min drive, market day in Eauze (Thursday) and Nerac (Saturday), and cycle to Flaran Abbey. We were completely astounded by the art collection there; Renoir, Cezanne, Constable and Dali sculptures to name a few. The art room for children is great too. The Carrefour supermarket in Valence-sur-baise was great for fresh food and wine. A huge thank you to Marie-Louise and Steph who truly go the extra mile for guests and have the loveliest home for us to experience. One day we hope to return!

Amazing Holiday......Again!

This was our second stay at Liet....and it was just as good as the first if not better. Marie-Louise and Steph were there to welcome us when we arrived and were the same lovely, relaxed hosts. The house was immaculately clean, very well furnished and just as we remembered it. The new covered abri was a fantastic addition to the pool area giving plenty of shade and a relaxing poolside lounge area. If you need a break from the sunshine, the house is shady and cool with lots of space to relax, read a book or play games. From a property point of view this is by far the best we have stayed at, hence coming back....and we will be back again next year! If you want to get out and about there are lot's of medieval towns and villages to visit. Almost every day is market day somewhere. Plenty of vineyards with tours and tasters. Magnificent scenery and on a clear day you can see the pyranees mountains in the distance. You can make your stay as busy or as relaxing as you like. Read the guide book Marie-Louise and Steph have put together and follw their advice on where to eat and visit and you won't be disappointed. Can't wait to get back there! Thanks for a great time! From the sublime to the more sublime

From the moment of our arrival until our sorrowful departure we have enjoyed our stay at this wonderful and carefully lovingly decorated luxurious property in a most beautiful area of southern of France. We knew nothing of the charms of de Gers but by day 1 with the warm welcome of the hosts and the amazing anentities and info book we felt like we would have happily stayed and explored and relaxed there for the entire summer. Before departure upon making our reservation we were fascinated by reading others descriptions in their reviews on this site of the swallows scooping up water and navigating carefully one after another over the swimming pool and were delighted to witness it close up most days while relaxing next to the pool. As well as enjoying a single deer who ventured close by in the evening and the birds that cane to feed at the feeder hanging in The tree outside the kitchen window. We loved exploring as far afield as the routes des lac in the Pyrenees as well as close to home taking picture after picture of the sunflower fields just coming into bloom near masencombe We can’t think of anything we would want to add to a holiday. It was wonderful We are thrilled to discover the delights of cooking with an Eno la plancha and I particularly enjoyed preparing the fish and vegetables and fresh herbs / lemons we had carefully bought in the markets especially Eauze market in your most marvellous kitchen, accompanied by glasses of rose bought locally and van Morrison singing (which was in the hosts CD collection) for evening meals outside as the sun started to gently go down. We almost want to keep our enjoyment to ourselves now that we are home because we intend to go back and wouldn’t want the house to be unavailable because it’s oversubscribed. Thank you to wonderful hosts Marie-Louise and Steph for your thoughtful attention to every detail and friendliness. We loved making friends with your two lovely horses and miss everything about being in Liet.

Ferienhaus für gehobene und höchste Ansprüche, alle Räume hell und mit viel Geschmack und Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, moderne Technik und aktuelle Badgestaltung bei Beibehaltung des eleganten, schlichten Landhausstils. Weißer Steinboden / Parkett im EG, historische Holzböden im 1. Stock, alle Zimmer unterschiedlich mit Farrow&Ball Farben gestaltet, Teppiche, historische Möbel, Kamin in jedem Zimmer, freistehende Badewanne usw. Nichts, was man hier bemängeln oder sich noch wünschen könnte - sogar ein 8-flammiger "Falcon" Gasherd ist vorhanden - für die Gourmetköche. Die angrenzende Wiese / Koppel mit Pferden nebst Stall und Scheune macht den Aufenthalt noch runder. Lage in der "Toskana" Frankreichs, ruhig und ohne Nachbarschaft, 180° Grad Blick in die hügelige, liebliche Umgebung und das mittelalterliche Nachbardorf mit "Burgruine". Romantische kleine Sträßchen führen von einem wunderschönen Anwesen zum nächsten. Die Eigentümer / Vermieter sind stets ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit, unaufdringlich und helfen bei allen Fragen und Wünschen. In einem Wort: Besser geht´s nicht.

séjour inoubliable dans le Gers !

Nous avons eut une agréable surprise en arrivant car le lieu était encore plus beau que sur les photos! Marie Louise et Stéphane nous ont accueillis chaleureusement et ont été formidables. C’est une maison qui est décorée avec beaucoup de goût et très bien équipée. Les chambres sont très agréables et confortables ainsi que la literie de qualité. Une vue panoramique sur les vignes à couper le souffle ! Il y avait beaucoup de jeux sur place ( Ping Ping, vélos etc. )pour passer un formidable séjour. Nous espérons y retourner.

Séjour paradisiaque

Au croisement de la route du paradis et de la perfection se trouve Liet, une bâtisse magnifiquement rénovée, dotée d'une vue incroyable sur la campagne gersoise. Marie-Louise et Stef sont adorables, aux petits soins. La maison est spacieuse, parfaitement équipée, décorée avec goût. Nous avons profité de la piscine tous les jours, devant laquelle se déploie un point de vue dont nous ne nous sommes pas lassés ! Il y a des jeux pour les enfants, des vélos impeccables, une plancha que nous avons largement utilisée. À proximité, toutes les merveilles du Gers, Laressingle (visité guidée pour les enfants, jeux médiévaux, et glaces artisanales délicieuses), l'abbaye de Flaran, Lectoure, La Romieu, Fourcès, sans oublier à 2 min Cassaigne, charmant château où déguster un excellent armagnac. Que dire, le seul bémol est que nous n'avons pu réserver qu'une semaine ! Merci à nos hôtes de la part de tous les membres de la famille

Fantastic!

Idyllic views; light, airy and comfortable interior; great outdoor areas; delightful hosts. We were three couples and there was plenty of space for us all, including with separate bathrooms. Can't recommend it more highly. Thank you Marie-Louise and Stef.

Fantasic Property

A beautiful house and a beautiful location. We stayed for 2 weeks with our 5 children and we all loved the house, pool and the amazing scenery. The house was really well equipped with everything we needed. The owners seemed to go the extra mile to make our stay as comfortable as possible, even providing a welcome hamper (including wine!) There were lots of outdoor games, bikes and even a ping pong table in the stables to keep everyone entertained and of course the pool with the stunning views was well used. Marie-Louise and Steph couldn't do enough to help and even managed to get hold of a smaller bike for our youngest so he could go cycling with his Dad. They were on hand to recommend places to eat or to visit. The scenery is stunning and the weather was great too. The children really enjoyed the lake at Castera Verduzan and the water park at Gondrin. Later we went further afield to St Jean De Luz and St Sebastian in Spain (about 2.5 hrs drive) Both have beautiful beaches. We had an amazing, relaxing holiday and would highly recommend this property. We would definitely go back.

Belle maison avec vue enchanteresse

La maison est belle, joliment décorée et bien équipée. L'accueil de Marie-Louise et Stef est décontracté mais néanmoins très professionnel. L'environnement est un enchantement : les vignes, les champs de tournesols, les jolis petits villages ... Une très belle adresse dans le Gers !!! Nous la recommandons vivement. Françoise et Henri

Beautiful house in a lovely relaxing countryside location

We enjoyed our wonderful family holiday in a truly beautiful area of the Gers during September 2018. We arrived late in the day to a very warm welcome from Marie-Louise and Steph, we also appreciated their generous welcome basket in the Kitchen. Liet is situated in a very peaceful elevated location with 360 degree views around the rolling countryside, you can see the village of Masencome with its chateau and church in the near distance and the Pyrenees on the far horizon. The house was very well equipped for our family, and all the rooms were comfortable, well furnished and beautifully decorated in a French style with great attention to detail in all rooms. In addition, you have views from every room. Marie-Louise and Steph take great care of their home, the large gardens and pool are very well maintained and we also enjoyed fruit from the trees every day during our stay. Another highlight for us was the outdoor facilities: There were badminton rackets, ping pong, table tennis and swing ball. We particularly enjoyed the bikes, cycled every morning for an hour around the countryside. We also enjoyed relaxing in the garden by the pool watching the wildlife and beautiful sunrise and sunsets. We have been visiting our family in the Gers since they moved out to France in 2005, and have stayed in many gites. Liet is the best house we have ever stayed, and has truly has everything to make a perfect family holiday. We also picked Liet because of the ground floor mobility access, my Mum so enjoyed her bedroom and shower room on the level ground floor. We hope to return in the future. Thank you very much.

Perfection

We had such a wonderful holiday last year we had a repeat this year. Steph and Marie-Louise greeted us like old friends, they are very special people who love their home and welcome visitors with grace and kindness. Nothing is too much trouble. The house, pool, gardens, views, location, in fact everything about this magical place is simply perfect. We shall return!

Lovely house in the most peaceful,relaxing setting

Outstanding location on the top of a hill gives you a fantastic vista all the way to the Pyrenees . Lovely pool and thanks for the telescope to enjoy the very clear skies. House was very comfortable for 6, excellent kitchen facilities as well as bikes, TT table and swingball to keep everyone amused.

Steph is a highly sought-after artisan carpenter builder whose calm presence, perfectionists approach in major building projects meant that together they have successfully faced many challenges, and the results are beautiful homes renovated to an incredibly high standard.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Marie-Louise says it was love at first sight with Liet a falling down farmhouse close to the tiny village of Mansencome. A friend had told her it was for sale and arriving at the top of the drive she saw the panoramic views and turned to her husband Steph and said ‘ i want it’ Luckily he felt the same and the decision to buy was made before setting a foot through the door. Set in 4 acres of garden,fruit trees and paddocks. The beautiful restored and refurbished LIET is now the perfect place to stay.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

LIET was owned by a local wine and champagne producer and the orginal huge barrels and workings can be seen in the barn. The family have since become friends and they are delighted to see the house restored to its former glory, but with the all benefits of modern living. The painstaking and tasteful restoration has kept many of the original features as possible without compromising on comfort and style . Although Liet is set in beautiful countryside, it is just 4km from Valence-sur-Biase a bastide village which has at least 4 restaurants , 3 bakers , bank, post office and supermarket. Condom, a lovely historic town is only 8km away with over 20 restaurants, a weekly market and many shops and services.
