Overall, the Pelagia Apartment is a good, basic apartment that enables touring the region around Rethymno. However, the building is located at the bottom of a steep hill, and hiking up and down the hill requires considerable endurance. Plus, apartment is on the second story of the building and the lift never will be installed for operation. Traveler(s) with limits on their mobility need to plan to drive to any place. When visiting places in the city of Rethymno, plan ahead for a parking location because the city is hectic and crowded.

breezes

A fairly new property well laid out for a family. It is a 15 to 20 minute walk from the old town and about half of that is a hill. Apartment is high and oriented east west so the hot cretan sun can be easily kept out. There was always a delicious breeze flowing through. And you can see the sea from the wonderful covered porch. Written directions for washing machine, oven, and stove are needed. They are complicated. We had to go to the internet. It took a while. Manager responded quickly to questions . The best i have experienced. Out stay in rythmno was wonderful. beautiful. restful. apartment contributed to that. you do have to be able to walk steep streets but that is noted in the description.

Ruim en uitstekend toegerust appartement

Met twee badkamers, een keuken met veel handige apparatuur en veel binnen en buitenruimte was dit appartement voor ons vieren een zeer prettig verblijf. Er komen is vanwege de stijle straat wel een punt.

Fantastic apartment and location

A very luxurious apartment situated in a central location within walking distance of a beautiful local beach and shops, unfortunately the location is not suitable for anyone with mobility issue. Pelagia the host was fantastic, always answered our queries very swiftly. She was extremely helpful in assisting us when we had to leave early due to a family emergency. Hoping to return soon.

Hele fijne plek

Een hele goede locatie, max 10 min lopen naar het centrum. De gastvrouw is erg vriendelijk! Haalde een boodschapje voor ons voor de eerste dag en we hebben een avond heerlijk gegeten toen ze voor ons had gekookt! Echt een kijkje in de griekse cultuur zo! Communicatie was erg gemakkelijk via whatsapp en ook waren de eigenaren flexibel en heel vriendelijk!

Verborgen paleisje in Rethymon

We hebben hier met ons gezin (2 volwassenen en 2 tieners) 2 heerlijke weken gehad in augustus. Wat anderen hiervoor beschreven klopt allemaal; een fantastisch mooi en schoon appartement. We zullen wat punten benoemen die nog niet beschreven staan. 3 grote slaapkamers met zeer goed werkende airconditioning. Direct na inschakelen een voelbaar koelere kamer. Alle slaapkamers zijn voorzien van een balkon. De woonkamer/eetkeuken is heel ruim en werkelijk van alle gemakken voorzien. Ons favoriete plekje in het appartement was op het overdekte balkon, waar je van ’s morgens vroeg tot ’s avonds laat heerlijk kan zitten, er waaide altijd een heerlijk windje. Het contact met Pelagia en Elena is heel prettig geweest. Voor aankomst hebben we fijn overleg gehad ivm COVID 19 en waren zij zeer meedenkend over de mogelijkheden. Bij aankomst werden we heel hartelijk ontvangen door Elena, zij liet ons het appartement zien en heeft tips gegeven over de omgeving en de wandel- sluiproute door een bosje naast het appartement, zodat je de steile heuvel niet hoeft te bewandelen richting het centrum. Prima te doen; binnen 10 minuten ben je in het centrum. In het donker terug lopen is je zaklamp van je telefoon een handig hulpmiddel om het donkere paadje te verlichten. Tijdens ons verblijf werden we 2x verwend met overheerlijke maaltijden; Griekse lamsschotel met groenten en aardappelen en zelfgemaakte pizza. Toen het koffiezetapparaat kapot ging tijdens ons verblijf, hebben we dit gemeld en werd dezelfde dag een nieuw apparaat gebracht! Wat ook heel prettig was; dat we onze huurauto onderin de parkeergarage konden parkeren, zodat we altijd in een koele auto konden stappen, heel aangenaam met de Griekse zon. Het was een hele fijne vakantie in dit luxe appartement in een mooi land, heel fijn contact met Elena en Pelagia. Wij kunnen je dit appartement van harte aanbevelen!

Prachtig schoon en super compleet appartement.

De entree rondom het gebouw is nog niet af, waardoor de buitenkant niet echt aantrekkelijk toont. Maar het appartement zelf is werkelijk prachtig en echt schoon! Alles is net zoals op de foto’s en alles werkt ook prima. Goede WiFi , fijne airo’s door het gehele appartement en een over complete keuken. Handdoeken en beddengoed worden naar wens twee maal per week verschoond en naar wens kan het appartement ook nog schoongemaakt worden. Mooie grote balkons waar je heerlijk op kunt BBQen. Je zit wel echt in een woonwijk en dat is ook je uitzicht, hoewel je ook een stukje zeezicht hebt. Elena is een vriendelijke gastvrouw die ons twee maal heeft verwend met haar ambachtelijke Griekse gerechten. Bij aankomst was zelfs de koelkast gevuld voor een eerste ontbijt! Als je je weg een beetje hebt gevonden loop je in 10 min. naar de oude binnenstad vol met winkeltjes. 5 min. verder lopen zit je aan de boulevard met vele restaurantjes. Tip: ga een eten voorbij de haven ( links als je naar de zee kijkt) je hebt daar vele restaurantjes met zeezicht, wat minder touristisch, lekkerder eten en ook wat vriendelijker geprijsd. Je eet hier meer tussen de lokale bevolking wat ons meer een vakantiegevoel gaf dan constant dat: lekker, lekker wat naar je wordt geroepen ( goed bedoeld maar toch wat opdringerig) op de boulevard. Heb je een auto gehuurd? Ga dan eens naar Plakias of Damoni beach! Zo’n 40 min. rijden naar het zuiden. Een mooie rit en de stranden zijn daar echt mooi. Uiteraard zijn hier ook volop taverna’s voor de lekkerbek. Al met al een goede uitval basis, dicht bij de hoofdweg voor uitstapjes en lopend naar de boulevard. 20min. van het enige meer van Kreta waar je heerlijk kunt waterfietsen en zwemmen! Ook de Milikloof die op maar 15 min. rijden ligt is een echte aanrader.

Sehr schöne moderne Stadtwohnung

Wir haben die großzügige, saubere Wohnung exakt wie beschrieben vorgefunden - auch was die nicht fertiggestellten Außenanlagen betrifft. Die Vermieterin steht ständig bereit, falls es Problemchen gibt und ist mit großem Engagement am Wohlergehen ihrer Gäste interessiert. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Great apartment

Everything worked well and was well equiped. However outside was an unfunished building site and lift in building not completed.
