Very nice and comfortable lakefront cabin. Kids loved it. They spent most of their time playing down by the water catching fish with a net. Would stay here again.

The cabin was great! Very peaceful and quiet lake, which is great. If we had any recommendations, at least to make our stay better, we wish there would have been a TV in each room and in the living room by the fire, and also that we could have brought our tiny little dog. Beautiful & relaxing!

What a wonderful stay! You are close to all the action, but get to enjoy the calmness of a small lake that is quiet and peaceful. The home is extremely cozy & charming, definitely would stay again.

Wonderful family Vacay

We had such a great stay! The cabin is beautiful Inside and had great space for the 7 of us! The lake was crystal clear and had tons of fish along the shore for the kids to catch! We will definitely be returning!

Much needed vacation

The cabin was just as pictured on-line. Loved the dock and fire pit area. Fishing and swimming was very enjoyable for the kids! Easy to find and was very quiet and relaxing. Would highly recommend for a family getaway.

The perfect Sisters Weekend

Location of this quiet gem is ideal for a getaway. We were close to resorts and shopping, but on quiet Agate Lake which was ideal for a weekend of sister time. We cooked, played games, and walked around the neighborhood. This will be our 'go-to' property every year. Highly recommend this property.

Relaxing getaway

This was a great place for a relaxing family vacation. Close to many restaurants and activities. The boat was a good addition to our stay, however it needs a good cleaning. The cabin has plenty of space and was comfortable for all. The beds were very comfortable. Overall, loved our time there. Although we did have to dust and remove a bunch of cobwebs. Bathrooms were very clean.

Wonderful time

Had a great time at this property. Had everything I needed for baking and even Tupperware which was helpful. Loved the kayaks. Was able to see and hear the loons up close. Great air conditioning and a very relaxing fire pit. The beds were very comfortable. Check in and out was easy and owner was great to work with.

Agate Lake

Great property with great views. The only clarification I would add to the posting is that internet is limited as we would have downloaded a lot more to our devices prior to arrival of we had known it was only available for email and no downloads of movies. Clean and beautifully decorated. We would stay again!

Agate Lake Escape

Loved staying on Agate Lake in this cozy cabin! We loved fishing right off the dock and caught a variety of fish; Sunfish, Crappy, Bass and Northerns! So much fun!! We also went to a great little bar/restaurant called Sunshine’s Summer House about 3 miles from the cabin and had delicious Walleye Tacos and Mexican Street Corn!! Can’t wait to return to this GREAT retreat!!

Beautiful cabin and location

We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. Communication with the management company was excellent! Having kayaks and a canoe kept our children/teens entertained. The firepit area was nice and secluded. I do think the outside furniture could use a good pressure washing and the sleep situation was a bit misleading to me on the site. But overall fantastic!

Great cabin!

This was such a nice cabin. So relaxing, peaceful, and what a view! Having the ability to rent the pontoon made it even better. The home was clean, great shape and well taken care of. Loved the fire pit next to the lake. The only negative was the fact they didn't supply towels. When you come from out of state, make it a little annoying to hand to get towels when you are on a lake property. Would definitely recommend.

Awesome!

The cabin is great! It has the real "up north" feel to it which is exactly what we wanted. We had 6 adults and 1 almost 2 year old, and we had plenty of room for everyone. We rented the pontoon boat-that was so fun-we went out every day. The lake is so clear, our granddaughter loved watching the fish swimming around. It was fun to see loons on the lake too. It is a very peaceful, rejuevenating cabin. Thank you!!!

Great end of summer get away!

We had great time at this little lake front cabin! The cabin is just as described. Being able to rent the pontoon was great- we spent the majority of our time on the boat fishing. The kids also really enjoyed fishing off the dock. The water level was down a few feet during our stay so we didn’t swim, but if the water was up we definitely would have been able to. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. About 20 min south is a larger area with many stores etc, about 10 min north is the cutest town of Nisswa with lots to do :) Just be careful on the steps going down to the dock- many rotted areas creating a tripping hazard. Otherwise great!

Christmas memories made

I rented this property for my family for Christmas and it did not disappoint. We brought a small tree and set it up by the widow where we got to enjoy opening gifts with a gorgeous view of the lake, a perfect snowfall, and heated by the warmth of a nice fireplace. We enjoyed the overall decor of the cabin and it was spacious enough for 6 adults and 2 small children. The only critique I would make is the vents were not open downstairs and it was very cold the first night until we realized they were all closed but this was an easy fix. Overall wonderful property to rent, very nice and communicative property managers. We will likely be back again.

House Could Use Deep Clean & TLC

Location was quiet and peaceful although there were lots of spiders and bird poo on all outdoor chairs and deck. It seemed hard to believe they have cleaned any portion of the outdoor seating areas in sometime. Woodpeckers loved the trees that had lots of black ants, which was not pleasant. A dirty dishcloth was left on the kitchen sink and dirty towels in the hall hamper from previous guests. We did not attempt to use the ice maker as it had black mold and the gas grill was filthy. There were empty cardboard boxes left in the yard that we took care of. The upstairs shower bar kept falling. When we called for a repair of that and the front door we were told by the maintenance there was nothing they could do with the shower bar and showed me how Velcro was holding it up on the right and there was no screw to tighten it. The main door not properly fitting in the frame feels like cutting corners as once an extra long screw was put in it was a bit easier to manage. The front screen door didn’t fit the frame either leaving a 1 inch gap on the left side for insects to enter the cabin. The upstairs bedroom had black ants crawling on the carpet. There were no directions for the fireplace that automatically came on when the temps dropped, which was odd as that would be an easy instruction sheet to add in the house book. We found it gross the checkout instructions say to leave the mattress pad and comforter on the bed unless soiled…ew how about washing the mattress pad at minimum?

Agate retreat were friends meet

We really enjoyed our stay on Agate Lake. We spent alot of time around the fire pit and the rock wall surrounding this area really added a nice touch. It had everything you needed to make your stay comfortable. Really took use of the ice maker in the kitchen never worried about running out. We just had a great time relaxing and making great memories with friends! I would recommend this place to anyone and we all look forward to returning in the near future!

Winter Wonderland

A group of spouses/friends and an infant stayed during a cold week of the winter. Upon check-in the cabin was only at 59 degrees, so it took awhile to warm up, but once it did it was cozy. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had almost everything we needed to make meals together. The space and layout was wonderful for hanging out, eating together, playing games, etc. The property seemed accurately listed, minus check-in information. What’s listed and provided after confirmation is not up to date. Was contacted only 3 days before check-in, not 2 weeks as listed. We had to contact the owner immediately upon check-in because the front steps and walkway were an ice rink & the ice melt was empty (they sent someone the next day though). Overall, the logistics weren’t the best I’ve experienced, but the cabin and property itself were beautiful and cozy! And great decor! Can’t beat the view this cabin offers right off the lake!

Great Cabin

Really nice cabin on very quiet lake. Plenty of room for the whole family. I did not call a few days in advance to get the entry code, so I was delayed in gaining access to the property. Be sure to call in advance. Also, keep in mind that the docks need to be pulled out of the lake before it gets cold. Unfortunately the dock was out of the water already for our stay in October. We still had a very enjoyable stay.

My 2 sisters and 3 sister n laws had a great stay. There where a few things that we were not thrilled about.. 1: the outside of the house, front entrance was full of spider webs every where...looks like it hadn't been swept down or sprayed down in some time. 2: we wanted to use the gas fire place, I had called and left a message right away the first day to the mng and never heard back from her/ him? 3: we were so happy to see a sweet little bistro table/ chairs on back deck to sit and have morning coffee on but it was so filthy, covered with bird poo that we couldn't even use it. 4: no wood for the bon fire anywhere....until we went searching and found some way up front of the property in the garage...why wasn't there wood brought down and put in the area of the bon fire ? 5: no matches or fire starter anywhere? 🔥 we finally did get it started after an idea someone had to start it and it worked... 5: ceiling fan in the bunk room....seriously? Why would you not either have it moved over or taken down? Yes, we did read the (wriiten warning) in the book about the ceiling fan but how about when someone else turns the fan on in the middle of the night because they are warm and the person up in the bunk doesn't know that and sits up in the dark to climb down and gets hit in the head from the fan.....thank goodness that person didn't get hurt any more then they did..... 6: email before we stayed said the mng would contact me 2 wks prior , then a few days prior to go over things and get our cc # info incase of problems....no one ever called? I finally called , talked to a very nice and helpful man and offered up the info.... 7: I'm glad we did not rent the Pontoon....it was filthy, looks like it hadn't been cleaned, scrubbed in quite some time? With all of this being said.... It was a BEAUTIFUL cabin, we had a fantastic time together but you might want to dbl check to make sure things are getting done that are supposed to be..
